I noticed, esp. at 4:26-4:40, the line spool is skewed towards the handle. I've noticed this on my other Lews reels as well, but not on other baitcaster brands. Any thoughts?
Magnesium is the lightest metal that isn’t super reactive such as lithium, potassium, sodium, rubidium, and calcium (in order of increasing density). Magnesium comes next in this lineup.
Yes and no. outside of the finish wearing off or scuffing from use, and the lack of lower gear speeds, there is nothing at all I could say bad about ALL Lews reels.

They are both very comparable and you can get a hypermag for about 250 at sportsman outfitters...ive heard. The newest reel the custom lite is even lighter casts just as great. Get the hypermag...you will love the finish...its lighter than the pro ti and if you cant be happy with a hypermag...lol then you wont be happy in life lol....but seriously you cant go wrong with any of those three

Yeah I saw that earlier it's a good deal either way I picked one up last month for 220 wish I would have got it for that price that you stated but I'm glad i didn't wait any longer it's my favorite reel now lol it's pretty awesome

That is one saweet reel! I have a few custom pro’s and love them. A Hypermag is next on the list to buy.

Be careful(unless they fixed it) that side panel can fly off sometimes. Still love my lews reels!
They have fixed it and will replace it for you if that happens

The tension adjustment on these reels sucks. Anything heavier than 3/8 oz is difficult to handle
I throw 1oz on this all the time.
