@1654realman The Mach 1 has the better braking system, so probably it. The best bang for your buck is the regular Lew’s speed spool though. Hard to beat the aluminum frame at that price.
hi, can you activate/deactivate pins on the quietcast ACB for fine tuning or al 6 always working and tuning is it just done with the external dial? thank you
Unfortunately, you can’t adjust internal pins on ACB brakes. I really haven’t had any need to like I do on multi-setting brakes though. They cast pretty smooth

I don’t use any brakes on flipping and pitching setups. Spin dial to 0. In my opinion you don’t want anything slowing that bait down besides your thumb in those short distances. Internal brakes just leave as is or turn completely off depending which feels better.
So does the ACB eliminate the need for tuning the inside like the MSB? Or is the MSB better bc you can fine tune it more? I'd rather have a reel where I can throw baits on and change the outer dial without taking the reel apart and changing setting while on the water is why im asking (as I wade a lot so afraid of dropping in the water 😂)But rather minimize backlash
Overall the ACB is a better more precise braking system. They MSB system allows for fine tuning which helps if you need to fine tune it to your style. BUT straight out of the box it is fine, you don’t have to adjust the internal brakes, you just have the option. Also, once I adjust my internal brakes to my preference I never touch them again. I only use external at that point. Either reel you pick, once you get brakes set to the level you like you should only need to adjust them slightly unless you are casting drastically different baits. I have specific reels/combos for certain techniques so I do little to no tuning once I get them set. Good luck! Holler if I can help with anything else

Hardly any difference at all. Actually since they changed the LFS body a few years ago it looks really similar to SLP. Only difference is slightly bigger spool. Tournament pro is a solid reel and versatile. I still use the gen 1 from 2013 too. Never greased it or anything and works great. Good luck!
For me personally I like blue brakes switches off and 1 white brake on. I could bomb a crankbait with that setup. Although I set someone else’s reel up the same and they kept bird nesting so may not be right for everyone.
Honestly I think magnetic breaking is better than centrifugal because there's no friction. And by using no spool tension you get the best performance possible.
There is probably good and bad to both. Much quieter and smoother braking with centrifugal. Magnetic are far easier to use out of the box and I agree could give them the edge
bro you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the engineering and way these reels work. the centrifugal brakes are not active throught the entirety of the cast. theyre only active once the spool hit a certain RPM. the "shield" that is adjusted on the centrifugal systems doesnt apply pressure to the spool at all, it moves closer to allow the brakes to activate earlier and exert more force/ friction. the magnetic inductance reels such as the first one are active through out the duration of the cast. i have nothing against lews, other than bad engineering. i wouldnt buy one unless it was a TI or some other "high end" version of their centrifugal system. if you want the best, buy daiwa. or shimano DC

Like the side plate? Depends on the model. Some use a pin, others have a little switch on the bottom side of the side plate

I'm always wondered the difference in the lews reels. I just got the kvd and its a smooth beast.
i have the Custom Speed Spool SLP on a 7'6 Heavy ... This rod is for Flipping Pitching Punching .. How should i adjust my brake system in my case ?

On the bb1 what is the best long casting setting with a long time baitcaster me
