- Join me and Charlotte as we head to Wicksteed Park located in Kettering for a day of theme park fun in the sun! The park opened back in 1921 and has seen many different rides, attractions and entertainment come and go over the years.
In this vlog we experience many of the different rides including on ride footage from the classic Water Chute, Log Flume and much more. We also enjoy a ride on the parks railway along with seeing the animals around the entrance to the park.

Love that you are exploring all these types of parks and not sticking to the popular theme parks! Much better watching in my opinion
I remember when this park used to have a pirate ship which was the most thriling ride in the park, but they tore it down and I never rode it :(

I remember going to this place when I was young! I loved the railway.
I always love when you have a park with a beautiful miniature railway such as this one!

I literally came here last week because it was the last day of my annual pass! Beautiful family park! Love it!
I first went to this park when I was 5 and still that log flume is still my favourite ride every year
I've been waiting for someone do make a video like this at wicksteed , it never gets enough love. Also that was me operating the waterchute, you're welcome

Because wicksteed is my local park i go there alot. Like you said, i sometimes only go there to ride my bike around the lake.
Used to go here on school trips all the time, probs made the best memories there
Thank you Kim a kettering boy grew up fishing and having fun at wickets then became a songwriter for 28 yrs in UK did all the signs thru kensigns then moved to western Australia good blast from the past Thank you I will return one day safe travels 😄

I love wicksteed not been for ages
in the eighties it also had a 9 hole Golf course .
Because of this me and the Mrs are having a trip out to here once lockdown has lifted. Never heard of it before now and it’s only 1hr away😬. Thanks as always for the awesome content. Kept us going for the last 8 weeks👍👍

The other water chute of that type in the uk is in Hull’s east park. Many a happy memory of my grandparents taking me on that in the 1990’s.

The great think about Wickeys is the spaces in between the rides. It's a great place to take kids, to wear them out all day, then have a peaceful evening when they all collapse later!
The goats where almost as cute as Charlotte when she realised that there where goats!

Definitely hope that the park will invest in lots of attractions in future! I think this park's most thrilling coaster (with the money) would be a Polar Xplorer or a Th13teen (Intamin or Zierer)...
I don't think they have the money for it, their opening hours have been reduced and all their new additions are either kids rides, animal exhibits, refurbishments or attractions (like the tree top walk which I'd call an attraction rather than a ride)

Such a great park full of memories. I really hope enough money is raised because I'd hate to see yet another park go. It makes it even worse that it's going to be the park's 100th birthday next year.

Used to live in Kettering... where wicksteed is. Literally just looked up wicksteed 2018 and found this and it has changed so much... when I last went before we moved, they just put in the go kart track and log flume area. No animals or anything

Love this place! It's basically if you mixed an amusement park with a country park.
Love it! Make sure to do an overview of the vintage Dlc in planet coaster! Or build a funhouse with it! But I love ur channel and I think that it would be cool to do a top 10 coasters/rides!

Hi Shawn, the other classic water shoot is at East park in hull. Please visit there and do a vlog. The east park one gets you drenched. (Get Charlotte on it)
They have a playground, boating lake,the water chute,miniature zoo with goats !!! Crazy golf and train ride. They also have a funfair and circus on selected days of the year. I'd love you to do a vlog from there

Been going here since i was a child, loved the pirate ships, made a mean noise when they went up! They were in poor condition and the cost to maintain the rides was unreasonable for the park to invest in so they were sold to a European man with a lot of money. Hope they are making good use now!
There is an amazing zipline there.

The channel was much smaller and only 1 year old in 2013! We met through Alton Towers and the channel
