I'll always remember the imposing spectre of Missile looming over the lake at the American Adventure. Just... waiting for me. Slowly getting closer as I made my way around the park. Love that it's still alive and well at Pleasurewood Hills 🤩 Classic.
Growing up, PWH was my home park. So many great memories from that place, including my first rollercoaster - The Cannonball Express! I didn't want to go on, cried the entire queue line (i was about 6 +/-), my mum forced me on. The minute I got off I wanted to go again, and I've been coaster obsessed ever since! As always, thanks for the content!
Same I was born in Lowestoft in 88 and spent most of the summer holidays at pleasure wood hills I remember all the shows in the castle with Noel Edmunds and Mr Blobby. this park had such great potential but It just never really did anything😅
Do you guys remember a haunted house/castle. They sang the monster mash at the end. I was terrified and cried all the way through and kept eyes shut. Was mid to late 80's.
Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway in Kent is definitely worth a visit. 13 miles of miniature railway fun. And adrenaline as well as they travel at 25mph and your liliterally flying along by the seat of your pants rocking left and right all over the place 😂😂.
I’m glad to see it’s sorted out some issues - I went three days after it opened for the 2023 season and cannonball express was closed, the blue slides and there was no score board for rootin tootin either. Glad to see that’s all been solved 😁
Absolutely loved this vlog. Pleasurewood was my first proper theme park and Ladybird was my first coaster. I saw Cannonball Express in Folkestone in 1991, but I had no idea it originally came from Plopsaland. Personally, I thought Rootin Tootin was best when it was Woody's Fairytale Fantasy, as it had 3D models, and I hope it goes back to something like that one day. I completely agree a Woody Bear ride in the old Castle Theatre would be fitting. Keeping it 100% family friendly is key. The park has been making some great choices lately - Giddy Up is a good retheme, Safari is excellent, and just the general graphic design currently used is really good. Here's hoping for some new family-thrill coasters. Another ride I really used to like was Canal Boat Ride - most of the animals it used are now along the miniature railway. Speaking of which, you piqued my interest as to whether there's a longer one... apparently Ruislip Lido is the longest in the UK, which offers a two and a half round trip.
Had the pleasure of riding the buffalo stampede last week, a ride I used to ride 30/35 years ago as a child. The missile used to scare me to death until I plucked up the courage to ride it around 1992.It's sad when a ride outlives a park, but great to see it still scaring and thrilling people all these years later. R.I.P. The American Adventure❤
I have never been on one of those Vekoma Boomerang rides, but they do look pretty good though. They do look quite intense. Pleasurewood Hills does look like a very nice theme park/Amusement Park. I have never been to this park either. Nice vlog Shawn & Charlotte. I do think that Charlotte is secretly starting to like water rides, even though she probably won't admit it.
Hi Shawn, I'm a ride operator at Pleasurewood Hills! although I wasn't working on the day you were in, I was there as a guest on that day like you and Charlotte, and I wish I had the chance to meet you guys! I only saw you both at the main gate and over by Jolly Roger, but I was making my way to Cannonball Express, so i didn't wanna stop and end up having to wait in the queue much longer. Glad you had a good day though! would've loved to have met you guys, been a fan of yours for a year now and you guys have been the reason I've gotten in to theme parks and roller coasters! I do agree with you though, the park definitely needs a new coaster! I'd love there to be a family spinning coaster or perhaps even the new RMC Wild Moose that was recently announced! fingers crossed!
I always enjoy watching your videos from Pleasurewood Hills, when you look back at the old videos you can really see the improvements over the years, but i agree with you it does really need some new rides now, i would love to go to this park but it is a very long way for me.
yay love The hills. The castle had a haunted ghost show before blobby moved in, it had a cinematic story section and then you moved into the seated area for a live show, it was awesome. It looping didn't care about the 40th i think that pretty much sums up what they think about the park, pity because when they first took it on they were investing fairly well.
Most people think it opened in 1983 but it actually opened in 1982 and it was pay per ride. Official opening in 1983 . Went in first few weeks of opening at age 9 and still love it.
So this is where they re- located Jumbo 5 at Meli park (now Plopsaland). I believe it was only one year operational there. Never had the chance to ride it.
Hi guys, brilliant video as usual. Never heard of that park, but looks a good little park to visit with some great rides as well. I would look to visiting in the future.
Great little park pleasurewood hills, I think they need a new coaster addition as I can see cannonball express being removed soon potentially, lots of recent maintenance work and down time
Had a good day here, a reccomendation to anyone visiting, park food as normall is quite expensive, and theres a tesco just outside and I would reccomend geting lunch from there. Love the vlogs as always shawn and charlotte! Cant wait for the Florida vlogs so excited!!
I took my girls to pleasurewood yesterday and we had a great time. If they invest a bit more money upgrading some of the park it could be amazing, but all in all a great day out. 👍👍
i went here last year as i was in the area, its actually really good and has a bit of theme park history as whipeout used to be missile at american adventure
ive been to the pleasure beach in great yarmouth and evry time it gets better used to go there evry year when i went on holiday to the holiday parks around there
Went on the Missile ride when it was at American Adventure and been on it here too !! There was a Pre Illusion show on then, no Circus. This is a nice pleasant park.Worth visiting especially if holidaying nearby or at Great Yarmouth....plenty to do in this area of the UK.
Great Vid Shawn and Charlotte I went to pleasurewood hills a couple of weeks ago with my cousin we really enjoyed marble madness except the sharp breaking that hurt
We took our 6 year old grandaughter to pleasurewood for her first time on Aug 16...loved it. Beautiful setting with plenty of good family attractions. My granddaughter could pretty much go on everything which was fantastic. Cable car was open on our visit too. It was very busy and I said it was a prime park for investment. We saw a couple of signs saying "something new coming" so fingers crossed. Visited the park many times and so many great memories🙂🙂
Wipeout was built for The Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988 and was known as the Coca Cola Roller before it was relocated to The American Adventure Theme Park. I first rode it in Glasgow when it was brand new then at the American Adventure and Pleasurewood Hills.
I went to this park in the very early 90's, and distinctly remember a pirate ship type ride that used to go completely around. Im sure it was called Tempest or something like that.
YOOOO LETS GO MY HOME PARK!!!!! Its so nostalgic because egg-spress was my first ever coaster back when it was called Rattlesnake and Wipeout was my first coaster to go upside-down . PLEASE TELL ME WHEN YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO GREAT YARMOUTH PLEASURE BEACH I WILL LITERALLY BOOK A TICKET
Another good video, really enjoyed 100%. Kept thinking which park it was that had two miniature railways inside of it, forgot it was this one. Love the section where railways cross each other twice, from both track level crossing and bridge over. Epic, 100% agree a new coaster could be added here. Was thinking maybe a GCI Wooden Coaster be a good shout here, not sure about spinning type coasters? As I don't like the look of them in an outside setting, but inside as a dark coaster would be an interesting ride experience, but outside. Not sure about? Did think another good park for new family RMC type coaster? Or maybe a unique layout non compact & spaced out & non upside down or upside down? Think another family and upside down coaster could be another option for this park? Think Cannonball Express could do with a longer train to deal with capacity? Aswell maybe two or three long trains to deal with capacity incase it does get busy during day? If not? Maybe could be sold and removed and a new attraction / coaster built in its place? Not sure? But nice vlog, really enjoyed and look forward to next video & vlog. 😀👍
went there in september of last year with my family, felt a little end of seasonish, good to see the waterrides up and running, don't think they were the day I went. great to ride the old missile that used to be at American adventure. I rode it there and I also rode it at PWH. great ride.
Excellent video Shawn and Charlotte from Pleasurewood Hills, located in Lowestoft. This year the park is celebrating 40 years of operation and in this vlog, we share on-ride povs from all of the major rides at the park. This includes Wipeout, Cannonball Express, Marble Madness, and many more fantastic rides. We also share highlights from the absolutely fantastic Circus Hassani, a spectacular 30-minute show running at Pleasurewood Hills this summer! Keep the good videos coming on the channel, Shawn and Charlotte. 😀😎👍👍
