      How many grams fit in it?

    • @Jmarosii
      @Jmarosii  Рік тому

      @Arma Ramos this unit has a 12" long column which typically holds 90 grams. We give it a range of 60-90 grams depending on your material density.

    That have crc filter?

    • @Jmarosii
      @Jmarosii  Рік тому

      @doolittle6977 yes! the very first clip is the CRC being put together. We have a small column separated from the material column by a strong micron filtration disc. You can pack this small column with filter media such as bentonite clay. We recommend using silica 60A, bentonite clay, and alumina in your crc.

      @@Jmarosii I recommend not using CRC as it poisons the consumer 😎

    Can this be used without the Color remediation step?

    • @Jmarosii
      @Jmarosii  Рік тому

      @seanshemelia1800 YES! The CRC can easily be taking out of the system and the system can run using the same operating procedure. When you need to use the CRC it's a simple clamp in and pack.

    One thing I didnt see you did was apply vacuum to the conduits. There is air in these tubes. Every time you put and get out the lunes you are contaminating the extraction solvent with atmospheric air and humidity in the same air

    Hi how do u get the solvent from a butane bottle to the pressure release tank.

    What’s the difference between this and a heat press

    • @Jmarosii
      @Jmarosii  Рік тому

      @Vladimir the major difference is that this uses solvent where the press does not. Using butane or propane strips the biomass material of its resins instead of being melted out using force. The yield on a BHO unit will exceed the yield form a press.

    what ratio of filter medium to extracted material do you suggest? Thanks!

    • @Jmarosii
      @Jmarosii  Рік тому

      @Barry Newman great question! We recommend using three different medias packed on top of one another. From top to bottom; Silica 60A: 30-50g per lb of biomass, Bentonite Clay: 75-100g per lb of biomass, and Neutral Activated Alumina: 30-50g per lb of biomass.

    What mesh gasket should you use? (Ex: 100 mesh, 50 mesh, 300 mesh, 2500 mesh)

    • @Jmarosii
      @Jmarosii  Рік тому

      @williamcourchane3135 we sell our extraction units with a 100 mesh screen to hold back material. We have found no issues with material getting through a 100 mesh while keeping flow constant.

    I think you can even do 120 if you got the extra column? Right?

    • @Jmarosii
      @Jmarosii  6 місяців тому +1

      @themadsterscientist this unit can hold 2.7lbs of solvent. With a solvent ratio of 5:1, you can run up to 220 grams.

    How much material is this made to handle in a batch?

    • @Jmarosii
      @Jmarosii  Рік тому

      The unit in this video can hold 60-90 grams at one time. Depends on the material density you are using.

    why do you need to add bentonite clay? "im brand new to BHO extracting.)

    • @Jmarosii
      @Jmarosii  Рік тому

      @Greenthumb42069 welcome to extraction! Using a CRC (color remediation column) on your CLS (closed loop system) has become a standard addition. The CRC is there to remove the unwanted impurities from the solution. When extracting a biomass, you can pull the undesirables such as chlorophyll, fats, lipids, etc. The bentonite clay in the CRC removes the dark colors from your material. The dark color typically comes from the degraded trichome heads during the curing process. The bentonite clay will remove all that!

    Was loving this until the vacuum oven was mentioned. Don't have one of those. It's a beautiful machine but it might be a bit much for the home user.

    • @Jmarosii
      @Jmarosii  Рік тому +1

      @Jax Maximus we love this unit too! This design kicked off many new designs for our CLS. You do NOT need an oven with this system, you could use one of our vacuum chamber pots to purge the final extract. This mini unit would pair well with the BVV 2 gallon chamber and 9-inch heat pad.

      You can totally use a vacuum chamber and heating pad for the home user.
