I was lead into this video from watching a vacuum chamber for silicon molds. I’m cracking up figuring out what this company provides equipment for. Haha👌🏻
Does anyone find the gauge necessary? Obviously it can be done without, but I’m just curious if it’s simple to tell when a vacuum is created in the beginning by time and sound… And then the pressure inside once solvent is added? It’s great to know but does it change anything? It will fill 80% of the way, either way, right? Truly curious thanks for all kind and helpful replies!! Wanting to buy
@nimo517 the gauge on a closed column can certainly show you the vacuum level and once you've hit full vacuum, but yes, you can also achieve this by listening to the pump. The gauge makes for a great visual aid. You can also gauge the temperature of the solvent/extraction by the PSI readout. The pressure of the solvent corresponds to the temperature of the solvent. The gauge will only be a visual aid, it does not change the extraction process whatsoever.
@@Jmarosii hey okay so I have all of that now! Haha I’m wondering what is stopping me from a closed loop system with a splatter plate and all of that but instead of reclaim tank, just use a a pressure release valve into a safe area I get it sounds like a waste but I’m just using 1-4oz at a time so if I run 45g of nug, and I’m avoiding blasting into Pyrex… Can’t I get rid of the gas butane without the BHO coming out at the same time? And then opening basin?
@mike420fan you can make it using a cheap CO2 tank! Check out our mini dry ice maker! shopbvv.com/products/dry-ice-maker-machine-food-grade-ultra-dense-block
The extra space around the material column is where you would add dry ice to, making it cold enough to freeze the lipids/fats/waxes in your oil then strained out by the filters, separating(dewaxing) it from your end product. Hope that helps.
@Aten Ahu yes regular ice is not cold enough, it has to be freezing. Another alternative is to put your extracted oil in a freezer for a couple of hours then filter it.
Can someone contact me. I'm small time. I want to open blast into a mason jar. Is 28grm nug run enough to make it e den worth while. I got like 5% return if e even from fresh frozen open blast so.i don't think ill ever go fresh frozen again. I'd rather sauce than live resin or batter/sugar diamonds anyhow with easy to pour terps and large chunky crystals on tbe bottom. So what's average yield fresh frozen versus dry and I've had many tell me I can still make sauce worth dry and cured materials
Wow I’m so curious to know how far you went in this process? Now that three years have passed. You sound very knowledgeable and capable. I want to do it myself cause I can always get flower but not concentrate. Let me know :)
34ModernMexica 34 chill the column before you run. Also you can chill the cans in the freezer. It will reduce the pressure in the cans making the fill take more time. The purpose of using freezer temperature will allow the gas to stay liquid longer and resist expansion. Allowing you to fill it more. Generally speaking the best fill will only be around 85-90% full.
@KustomGraphics206 hold yer ponies. Just cause I understand thermodynamics sure as fuck doesnt mean I use tane cans. Closed loop all the way. Try not to be si rude there bud we need to share in this kinda community.
@KustomGraphics206 yep greed will kill us all in approximately 15 years or so anyhow. First time I distilled my tane I was really amazed how much shit was in it! Bought 35 gallons like two years ago still have most of it left after countless successful runs.
Umm kustom or you know you can use a solvent tank. The can tap tool and top fill is just optional. Many of the companies here who supply hydrocarbon gases supply distilled butane. It's also not very expensive, but if someone wanted to distill and recover their own. They also sell a closed loop system instead.
There is a lot of talk that "soak time" plays a significant role in dewaxing your material; this is NOT true. You want to saturate your biomass quickly and effectively. The longer the "Soak time," the more undesirables and chlorophyll will be pulled, making for a darker extract. Feel free to give us a call at (331) 281-0154 to speak with a tech.
@Chad Butane is a fine gas to use for extraction. Out of the list of extraction solvents, butane is the most effective and safe to use! Propane is better at getting more of the terpene profile in good plant material but operates at higher PSI.
@@iamchillydogg even on some of the highest amounts ends up being negligible if you are not running a lot..... Have the people who say yhis ever actually distilled extraction quality n-butane in a closed loop? Lol people act like half the can is mystery junk

Great video - I have been searching for that “spray ball” attachment..where do I get one??

Nice Video! Kann zu sent me the link from the essay with the bullet please? Thank you and have a nice sunday

What are all the solvents you can use in that system. I owm one im unsure.
So is low pressure better or high pressure ?
No link for this set up. I will go hunting I guess

BVV
Sweet thanks
what size column is that? how many grams can that hold?
tia regalado 1.5” x 12” column. Holds about 60-90grams. Typical packing density would be around 3g per cu^3 in. So generally this fits about 60.
How long does it take the product to harden; it does get hard like a wax correct?
Around 72 hours in a vacuum chamber
Where do you get dry ice?

I Have exact setup for 150g tube. Wondering what collection pot would be best to step up to closed loop?
Can i attach closed column to this? So dewaxing would be afterwards
Yes u can. The nice thing about there systems is they all for the most part work together.
Can someone explain how this separates the wax from the oil

@Aten Ahu ethanol or everclear and Büchner funnel with vacuum is what I normally use. Tried and true nothing new. Alright cheers.
whats that shear caled for emptying the gas can

Any advice on how to get more butane in the tube? Got one from you guys and trying to work on getting better yields

Cool the column first then pull a vac on it. Should take the whole can

Dude your sounds is stupid low please fix
Non distilled hydrocarbon....yikes bro.
That’s how you start, when customers graduate to tanks they can distill their butane properly. All depends on how hard you work for your quality.
Illuminating a best practice. Wish I had that lil rig 8 years ago, that sleeve is a dope mod.
Not necessary with butane made for extracting. This isn't 2000 when people were using lighter fuel.
