This video shows just how important The Twins and its crossing were at the time for Robb. I always wondered, with a continent that big and so many rivers if it was really necessary for Robb to cross the Twins at that time instead of going up and around. It really was, a great military move also.
Yeah, we definitely need the Battle of the Blackwater to get the same treatment. One of the best battles in fiction and so much larger in scale than Whispering Wood. Of course that probably also makes it silly-hard to do.
Catelyn was no better than Cersei. They both triggered a war that cost tens of thousands of good men their lives. She twice ruined any chances of peace by being selfish and impulsive and falsely accusing Tyrion and then betraying her son Robb and releasing Jaime Lannister. She should be burning in hell.
Could you do the battle of the redgrass field? It was the largest battle during the First Blackfyre Rebellion, effectively ending it and confirming King Daeron II Targaryen's rule of the Seven Kingdoms.
One tiny detailed I noticed: you depict Catelyn Stark traveling from WInterfell to King's Landing via the Kingsroad but I believe she took a ship from White Harbor and sailed the Narrow Sea, no? Great video!
Baz, your work is fucking masterful- always in awe at the time you put into these. Indefinite hats off and standing applause for you and your team sir.
Battle of Bastards probably wont happen since its a show only thing and show has little strategy involved in it. Battle of Winterfell and Battle at the Crofters' village are more likely to be shown.
The battles are very cinematic but the reasons for the battles are usually portrayed poorly and kinda lack any semblance of strategy unlike these videos. Like in season 1 the Lannister have no idea that only 10% of the enemy army is attacking them even on the verge of battle despite all their spies and scouts and it has only gotten worse in recent season. Armies can teleport from place to place and no one has any idea what is happening in the rest of the country as if they have no spies or allies who can send them news.

Medieval 2 Total War has a GOT mod
Kinda like Shogun 2 but with King's Landing instead. I like it.
Mount&Blade with GoT mod is precisely what you mean
Only a couple of days before season 8 takes off! Thanks for creating this video!
I really can't believe they cut almost the entire battle for this, both of them, in the series. This is an epic showdown between the lion and the wolf. Quite honestly wouldn't cost that much to film either, even in the early seasons, amush scenes can use tricks like heavy arrow fire and quick shots to make it seem bigger. Oh well.
I would happily watch a 2 hour map recap of the entire game of thrones tv show if u would make it and I assume others would too. The way u display it is absolutely amazing
I want more, MORE!! Please continue Westeross and Esoss Battles, u do it great
I’ve been waiting for the war of the five kings for so long. Glad to see it finally come.
Please, do more WW2 battles, in my opinion, you have the best animation, music and explanation on UA-cam!
Greetings from Latvia!
Didn’t even know King’s Landing and Winterfell are so far apart.
I love the mapping.
Superb video!! Made me appreciate the legendary blackfish even more
Quality animations and good narration is why I come to this channel, even though most of this vid was filler. Great work
This is truly amazing to listen to, thank you!
Thank you so much for listening to your viewers! We wanted more Game of Thrones! You made one!
this is perfect time for this
Holy crap, BAZ! I have been a subscriber for at least a year, but I never knew you did GoT stuff! LOVE IT ...
Thanks bazbattles, we been waiting for this for a long time.
Great job on summarizing the entire first book into 12 minutes video
I absolutely love your voice and narration. Subbed!
This video shows just how important The Twins and its crossing were at the time for Robb. I always wondered, with a continent that big and so many rivers if it was really necessary for Robb to cross the Twins at that time instead of going up and around. It really was, a great military move also.
I love your Game of Thrones videos, well done!
I didn't realize I needed this history in my life. Thank you Lord BazBattles.
Yeaaahhh, War of the Five Kings animated at last!!
This is such an interesting story! They should make this into a TV series someday.
Remembering when G.O.T was amazing before the plot armour.
A detail battle about something that not been shown before?
Amazing 👍👌
A surprise to be sure but a welcome one
Oh god, I thought my hype build up had already reached its maximum but you somehow burst right through it! Absolutely brilliant video.
Hail Rob Stark!! The only king worthy of fealty!
It just absolutely BAFFLES my mind that as complex as all this, all these chain of events happened because of Petyr Baelish and the dagger
more game of thrones battles
Thanks for the very detailed video.
Makes my visualization of my reading much clearer now.
Love that skyrim music! Now I have to start another new game dammit.
lol Skyrim... hopefully next game is at least half as good then it wont be a total shit.
I noticed that. You can also hear Rome total war music
Yeah, we definitely need the Battle of the Blackwater to get the same treatment. One of the best battles in fiction and so much larger in scale than Whispering Wood.
Of course that probably also makes it silly-hard to do.
They should make a show about this
Indeed they should. Imagine all the unexpected twists and turns!
I read the books back in the 90s. Very cool to see the battles depicted. Pray continue. D.
Well, she isn't dead yet, so one day, maybe
2 great channels made 2 great videos on the same topic.
Winner is me because I enjoyed them both greatly. Im happy.
Could you do the battle of the redgrass field? It was the largest battle during the First Blackfyre Rebellion, effectively ending it and confirming King Daeron II Targaryen's rule of the Seven Kingdoms.
I'd love to see the Oversimplified version of this!
Joffrey: "Sir Illyn, bring me his head!"
Ned Stark: "Dude, uncool!"
Nice video! More game of thrones please!
Yes !!
i'd prefer history
@@Toto-95 they are both great and entertaining, and history still has a monopoly
This production value is great
One tiny detailed I noticed: you depict Catelyn Stark traveling from WInterfell to King's Landing via the Kingsroad but I believe she took a ship from White Harbor and sailed the Narrow Sea, no? Great video!
Baz, your work is fucking masterful- always in awe at the time you put into these. Indefinite hats off and standing applause for you and your team sir.
Soon, in the future, they will do a battle of the basterds and the battle for Winterfell. I can't wait for that to happen possibly.
Battle of Bastards probably wont happen since its a show only thing and show has little strategy involved in it. Battle of Winterfell and Battle at the Crofters' village are more likely to be shown.
I heard Rome total war music....
This man is a magnificent person
If game of thrones was done in this style, like everything in the show, id watch it
The battles are very cinematic but the reasons for the battles are usually portrayed poorly and kinda lack any semblance of strategy unlike these videos.
@@blankname2026
They pulled down their pants and took a fat steaming pile of dog shit on military logistics and tactics in the last season.
Bending the laws of physics to make Danny, the fan favorite win while killing the tactical genius Stannis in a stupid mob charge against a walled city
Try the books they are very descriptive
Adrian Lilholm yeah I read the books and I'm really sad they just made the armies of dorne and the reach disappear overnight. Like the dornish let their prince be killed to get revenge on the Lannisters but once ellaria is taken out they just decide they couldn't care less about killing the lannisters. Would have loved to see the dornish actually do something in the show so they aren't just wasted and completely pointless
This young Robb Stark looks promising. I hope he lives on to be a great leader and nothing bad happens to him!
You could cover Battle of the Camps as well, its essentually a conclusion of Whispering Wood. I mean, you did bother to mention Green Fork
Man, you have really stepped up your game, good job!!!
Rob Stark had a lot of potential to become one of the best military strategist had he not let his love get in the way of his vision.
Glad to see you back man! perfect timing!
so basically this was one giant ad for audible lol smooth.
I was waiting for this one, the coolest Stark Vs Lannister Battle
