If you didn't think that anything was good or bad then there really is no motivation to do anything. Your implicit assumption that we should "make something sustainable" is predicated upon sustainability being good.
When you have the american lesser of two evils system, the only driver is personal gain for those at the top. And THAT is why you fail where you fail. America has the capacity to do almost anything, it is exactly the actions of the evil people at the top, because they are evil (evil being a totally subjective thing) that stop you from accomplishing things, utopia even.

Bernie Sanders is the opposite of a fraud. I like Jimmy Dore, but I would give a limb for Bernie to be in a room with him in private to explain (defend) allllllllll Jimmy doesn't realize and has to say about him, and then see that version of Jimmy talk afterward. If you listen to what Chris Hedges says about the Nader conversation you will find that he clearly felt that Bernie's concern was not so much about being seen as a Spoiler, more so about the evisceration Ralph suffered from the Democratic Party and his complete side-lining from influence.

Yeah to anyone who wants to spend the time unpacking what aspects they don't like about Jimmy Dore, I'd like to hear, and I ask this as a big fan of Jimmy Dore but with sincerity and an open mind. I am curious because every time I check out Jimmy Dore as a guest on another show, I keep seeing some variation of the "I don't always agree with Jimmy Dore, but ". So I've grown curious to hear just what is the main thing (or maybe the many things) that turns people off from Jimmy Dore?

Funny thing is that Jimmy Dore sells himself as being not smart, when the truth is that he is one of the smartest persons on the internet.
Even Jimmy admits that he's not the smartest person, so I think it's more about Jimmy's willingness to tell the truth that makes him seem like one of the smartest people. There are a lot of intelligent liars out there; they're called politicians and lawyers.

b) he legitimately is not the brightest candle on the cake (as evidenced by his chronic inability/unwillingness to recognize the immediate consequences of his statements).

Which is bad enough, I suppose, but then he pontificates on these ideas demonstrating his ignorance to all who have heard him speak on the subjects. That is what elevates his callowness to true stupidity. I guess if people don't understand how the filibuster works it's easy to overlook Dore's shortcomings. Great interview with Jimmy. At 1:10:40 he says his biggest disappointment was Tulsi in the campaign when she dropped out to endorse Joe Biden. Same with me. She had so much going for her as an outsider running in the primary. She was not looking to run for reelection in Hawaii. She consistently supported Bernie and took a strong anti-war position. The DNC elites hate her which is a major plus for independents like me. Tulsi could have been a major player in our COVID19 world but she seems to have dropped off the stage once she caved to JB and the DNC. Sad and tragic. She could have been a force in opposing the legislation that has been passed since March.
As a rural conservative, tulsi was the only Democrat who actually interested me in the last 20 years, I knew many other Texan conservatives who would have supported her.
I was super disappointed at that too. At the same time, after the way she was treated by so many in the progressive movement and the DNC - the slander and hate and prejudice - I can understand why she was like, I'm so done and ready to go home to Hawaii and help my people there. I can understand her feelings so I don't resent her for bowing out. At the same time, I really miss her on the national stage calling shit out. Meanwhile, she introduced legislation in congress to prevent politicians from profiting off the stock market on issues they have governmental power over, and no media bothered to pay attention to it and no one cosponsored it. The DNC made her a pariah in DC and there's no one to support her, including Bernie. So she has no power there. She needs to run 3rd party but there's no 3rd party that's viable yet.
