It actually does feel like Cooler Master is jumping back into the game. It'll be nice to see if they can get back into the budget case market too!

Im happy with my nr400
I still use the old school Cooler Master HAF XB cube for my gaming builds. My favourite case of all time.
Hey by the way buyers are starting to have a lot of issues with Lenovo regarding the Legion Go and getting the fan fixed under warranty, they have now backtracked twice to change what they’ve said and are denying warranty fix work for fan noise.

And just had to drop a nuke on the comments section for bots. It is actually the worst I've ever seen it. Maybe we'll try to build our own anti-bot bot. I know there are some tools out there but we haven't tried them for a few years. Might be time.
Thiojoes tool works well, just try his tool
Maybe UA-cam could build their own anti-bot bot...
@@DarkGhost088 🤣😂
@@DarkGhost088 Will do!
@@Skobeloff... Which would be killed off after 3 years since it makes them no money.
They don't need to fix this, they need to get a Nobel prize for discovering room temperature superconductors. I still don't understand what the advantage of using it in a pc case is, but its impressive nonetheless.
Hahaha
How else are you going to power and cool your next Intel CPU, nevermind the next Nvidia GPU 🤭
nono, its actually a regular superconductor that you need to pour liquid nitrogen on constantly. we're still researching into why it works but when you press the activated superconductor against a CPU it somehow keeps it cold.
"Still don't know how magnets work" slipped in there so slick like we wouldn't notice.
Miracles, man. mIrAcLeS

Props to the CM dudes for taking it like a champ and laughing alongside you, that was refreshing LOL
They're good guys. Ultimately, a lot of these companies have good people working rank-and-file with us and they're the ones who take the comments up the chain to get stuff fixed. Love to see it. The CM team has some good people and engineers.
😂💯
@@GamersNexus oh wow good to hear that
H500 era was dark
Depending on structure, CM is going to be different people than those creating the marketing. So, they get handed a pile of BS and know it's BS.
That was one of my favorite parts of this video.
I received really great support from Coolermaster when I needed my M2000 PSU pinouts for custom cables. I identified that they were wrong, and they not only responded, but updated thier website within a couple of weeks with new diagrams.
wow! That's awesome. Thanks for reporting back.
that’s fantastic, appreciate hearing that 😊
Meanwhile ASUS probably charged you money for fixing their diagram
Wait, coolermaster invented a room temperature superconductor?
That's a trillion dollar idea right there. I'm super hyped for them!
given their company's name, I would assume they invented a cooler that can cool anything to superconducting temperatures
That's an "ALL the money" discovery if ever made. Cold fusion might be the only rival to that.
The more you Steve, the more you Thanks!
the more you buy the more you save
hahahahahaha!!!
I get the joke. But this is painful to read.
Steve ragging on Asus every opportunity he gets, and I am all for it!
It's not even out of malice. GN just wants ASUS to be better. It is (was?) such a respected brand among so many PC enthusiasts.
The connector melting was a rip.
The intro: well could be worse, at least they didn’t slap an “AI” on the name
That's for damn sure!
With the thought of doing a bit of a "one, two, skip a few", maybe they should avoid doing AI stuff...
If everyone's getting tired of Artificial Intelligence already, why get ahead of the curve and market General Intelligence?
...yet
next year: Super AI conductor

Thermal Grizzly Aeronaut even tastes good. It's excellent and refreshing on whole-wheat bread with some apricot jam spread on top. And it cures hypertension.
Google, is that you again?
But do you spread it in an X pattern or a little drop at the center?
Only one of them melted down... Out of three.
Don't worry, we have a 'reliable' customer service division to handle it.
imagine being the guy working at the stand, not knowing who Steve is... Just a random guy dissassembling every case, and leaving everything to pieces and having to put everything back 😂
9:30 they absolutely need to be listening to you on adding ventilation
Personally I'm not really the target audience but that ITX case with the card on the side looks amazing.
Agreed. ITX, to me, is for people who live in tiny houses (or sheds). Instead of upgrading your GPU, upgrade your house!
@@NegativeROG That you Jimmy?
or it's for people who realize ATX is stupid and people who buy ATX doesn't actually use 99% of the features. Well designed SFF cases have better airflow & compatibility than ATX cases. @@NegativeROG
@@NegativeROG if you can afford a new nvidia brand gpu you could afford to add a second mini house to your current house! but seriously they charge more than a lot of peoples rent lol
@@mromutt Exactly, that's why I am Team RED. Instead of 1 nVidia GPU, I bought 2 from AMD. Anyways, I would probably get a mini garage for my mini car. Or a mini deck with a mini grill and have mini parties.
Slapping the GPU on the top of the case is actually pretty smart. I've always had a weird issue with the GPU intake being right by the PSU. letting it breathe makes it easy to blow my air conditioner unfiltered directly into the graphics card
That exposed GPU case reminds me of that boutique case that's built around the Asus ProArt 4080.
I really want to get one and stick a sparkle A310 on top.
That cutaway bit at about 0:30 was like a snappy camera pan from a Wes Anderson movie. LOL'ed Hard.
16:30 Some phones, including some high-end ones, have had issues with overheating while recording video, especially in hotter climates. So an add-on cooler actually has potential use for more than just battery savings. With that said, then there would be concerns about the noise of the fan in the video
complete shutdowns due to overheating is definitely a real thing
condensation might also a concern if the cooling is too powerful
I find it funny how Thermal Grizzly is a sponsor to part of the coverage, while the CEO of Thermal Grizzly der8auer with an 8 is also wandering around the halls doing his own coverage
lol "We still don't know how magnets work" 😂
That was smooth
Is there a Thermalright booth?
Yes! We have coverage of that as well. Not up yet.
@@GamersNexus Nice and thank you for the heads up! Keep up the great work and take care.
I love thermalright! Have 9 of their argb fans in my main pc haha and their peerless assassin cooler, was all still cheaper than the equivalent noctua cooler :) can't wait to see their booth
OK the ITX cases look pretty sick
I absolutely love both those concept cases. I'd love to see the first one support a GPU AIO radiator mounted on top blowing up
I really hope that Coolermaster listen to you in regards of the pogo pin connection for the RGB on the front panel. Removing the front panel can be hard at time and when you are cleaning your PC often, the risk of damages increases. Also, in my opinion, there are no need to have the Sleep, work, game gimmick. If CM wants it, make it an option.
I would be interested in both Ncore and Masterbox 500 Mesh depending on reviews. The Masterbox 500 is more or less what I'm looking for but all depend on the Airflow and storage device capacity therefore I would also consider the Ncore.
I would love to see a new case with the same top design as the Mastercase Pro 5 . My cat love to lie on the top of my case when I am away from my desk. The removable top cover, provides a bit of space for the hot air to exhaust during that time. If CM releases the same case after fixing the design flaw for the tempered glass panel (Gaps between the glass and the top front panel) , and add an updated front IO with USB C, then I'll probable buy it.
Fun fact Steve.
CM was the reason why I found and followed your channel. There was a lot of hype before the H500P was released and this case looked very interesting (I would say good job to CM marketing team at the time). I, like everybody should, wanted to see some reviews first before considering buying it.
Of course the thumbnail had Snowflake in it so how could anyone click on any of the other videos first. The appearance of Snowflake in the start of the video and the constructive review of this case made me click that subscribe button.
urrently looking a
It would be nice if they can make new revisions of the Hyper 212 series!
I feel like they would have their work cut out for them with everything Thermalright is putting out
Dude, that Itx case is amazing that has the GPU externally
That's hilarious, I've actually been using an NR200 together with a Strix 4090, I've had to modify both heavily to make them fit together but it's kind of hilarious to see CoolerMaster make it a first party thing. Mine still looks stock on the outside though, I've had to cut the front faceplate and remove the extra plastic on the strix to make it fit but it juuuuust goes in there. This is not a bad "no-mod" approach and looks kinda cool.
That NR200P concept case needs to be a thing, i love it.
1:00 you go to cooler master for good support 😂.......
Not Asus no warranty for you..... For those how dare.....
5:15 at the Computex, straight jorking it
I'm still rocking a MasterCase Maker 5T for my primary rig. It has served me well. Glad to see Cooler Master making a return.
Yeah. I have a similar one, and a cosmos. The problem with these is accessories - try finding HDD trays for those, at least outside the US. As I understand it, unless you have a 3d printer, you're out of luck.
I honestly enjoy the "giga aquarium fishbowl" approach, it reduces the visual weight by a lot, the modular panels are something i didnt expect, having the mesh panel at the front while glass on both sides provides a decent amount of the see through effect without affecting performance.
I love the modular design of the GPU display case. I really hope they bring it to market. I'd also like to see a version where the GPU is shrouded and not on full display.
You're on top of everything at the event! Awesome coverage!
phone coolers is a good idea while using it on a car , on hot days while charging and using car play for the gps and audio , it can get very hot if the car tray dont have any ventilation , and this is one of the reasons I prefer to put it in a support in front of the AC vent
Cooler Master employees if you are by any chances reading this comment; Thank you for the QUBE 500 case, awesome product. I am in LOVE with mine, Thank you so much for the innovative concept. You guys are a breath of fresh air in this stagnating copy-cat industry (looking at you HYTE) that is the PC DYI market. Keep innovating!
I relayed your comment to the designer ;)
@@maximlardinois5665 Thanks again!
@@maximlardinois5665 Amazing. You can even impress him by letting him know I modded my QUBE 500 to be a... GPU mining rig! So far I installed 3 GPUs in the case. I'm currently working on pushing the boundaries to an astounding 4 GPUs installed within the QUBE 500. It goes to show how well the base case layout has been designed. Merci.
Some nice cases there. For that AIO's VRM fan, might as well just grab the Cooler Master Atmos then, as there are 3D printable badges that let you install larger more functional fans for cooling the VRM. Pretty sure it will be the same pump.
Always love that Cooler Master brings the funky tech to Computex.
10:15
I actually made a prototype for this case in paint 3 yrs ago. Mine had added thickness for a 240mm rad. The added thickness would also let run the 12vhpwr up to the gpu without having to bother too much with thickness constraints.
The gpu display area in my prototype had 2 mesh panels (1 in front of the gpu and 1 behind with the sides and top being glass
Thanks Steve!
The air cooler looks like it takes standard 120mm fans but has a fancy metal enclosure for them, which is good to see. The more companies adapt this form of improving aesthetics without compromising serviceability the better. Also nice ICP reference art 15:13 lol
ngl I like the idea of just slapping the GPU on top of the case. I honestly thought about this when the 30 series came out and were getting bigger and definitely with the 40 series. Engineered correctly, it could eliminate a lot of the worry of trying to fit a GPU in your current case and/or the case you want.
The aquarium type case with swappable side panels is pretty dope. I'm sure people will come up with some really cool showcase builds in that.
That 612 air cooler has a really nice aesthetic I like it!
"we still don't know how magnets work"
me neither steve, me neither.
It's a miracle
Juet bought a TD500 V2 and I'm really happy with it. Cooler Master makes some great products.
The more you super, the more you conduct
And if everything is super... Nothing is.
Best case ever was the Cool Master HAFxb evo
Still have my TD500 - the only thing that bugged me as you mentioned in your review at the time was the mounting holes for two more SSD's but they never included the grommets or pegs for that. They then released a Version 2 - rather than include the additional screws and grommets they removed the mounting support entirely. Really smart! 😂
Steve looks absolutely thrilled to be on case/cooler duty.
For the Masterbox mesh 500 i'm really looking forward to see GPU thermals tests difference with and without the mini low mesh panels to see if fans so close to the traditional GPU mounting are actually doing something useful and if the mesh is really that bad as it looks there
I would absolutely get that new NR200P case, love the way the GPU is displayed.
that first concept case is really sick
interesting cases, cooler master gas always deserved a look at when building due to great valve options and interesting top end case
4:36 bottom mid: at least they got my current life situation displayed in the right way. 😆
I like the "MeshBox 500" 4:48 , that's a nice case. I hope it'll be available in an all black, no rgb model as well.
Actually, replace that glass side panel with a sound deadened solid panel and it'd be perfect.
haha, Love it when you go thru and disassemble everything. More disassembly needed.
That NR200 with the cutout for the GPU looks sick. If they do mass-prod those I'm defo buying one.
Love the open gpu itx concept. Its the most expensive piece in most builds might as well showcase it. Would open up more creative gpu diy
7:40 "Jorking"
Wow the second ITX case reminds me a lot of the ForFun02 Pro case
Anything on a hydro ti pro with atx 3.1 instead of the current 3.0?
For the phone cooler it would be really nice if it was integrated into a car mount, whenever I use my phone in the car it always gets hot because it's usually out in the sun.
G'day Steve,
CoolerMaster has always been popular for affordable cooling down (at least my go to) here in Australia, nearly all my AIOs, fans & PSUs are CoolerMaster as they are good quality, relatively quiet & priced well, as an example currently along with DeepCool the 2 cheapest "Recognised Name" AIO brands quite often under $100AUD for 240mm while ASSTek based models above $150AUD some like Corsair & NZXT even above $200AUD for 240mm.
Besides this another reason I love CoolerMaster AIOs is you can Mod them quite easily like the one I have in my Overkill XP PC that is now a ML240mm + 120mm cooling i7-2700K & GTX780Ti (with EKWB), a Seidon 120mm converted to 92mm + Clear Tubing in a Retro HP Pavilion M-ATX for C2Q9650 @ 4GHz & a Nepton 280mm with no radiator to run Ice water direct from my Esky on my i7-3770K testbench.
I have a few of their older cases for Retro PCs including a N300 KKN2 + HAF LAN Box XB EVO but went off them as my go to (now DeepCool Smarter for ODD or Antec NX200 for ARGB) after as you found the Airflow & Build Quality dropped off in many designs.
Please make more open PC cases. I'd like to see something where you have just a flat plate with a handle shaped like an inverted T so it can hold itself up where the frame is also the reservoir of your water loop with a CNC'ed bracket for PCIe components, and a 360mm rad mount with the option to install a 5.25" bay.
That ITX idea with an attachable GPU looks very interesting.
I'm so early, the view count feels like this is a new youtube channel.
This was brutal.. and i loved it.
I like the ITX case with the GPU on top, but they need to make a system that have 2 separate locks and one is automatic once you push the card in, not only to make sure there are no accidents in case one of them fail, but in case people forget to lock the thing, which will happen 100%.
The one with the GPU window it will only look good if you have a GPU with that exact size, otherwise it will look terrible.
Cool idea. I like that itx graphics card build. Will not be good for anti-dust management though.
It'd be easy to pull it off and hit it with compressed air outside, wish I can do that with my build
I love how you went and subtly disturbed the displays on the fan section by leaving the cooler on the side, the fan attachment on the table, etc.
Omg i love the gpu showcase!!
I'm actually interested in these ITX cases, because I (unfortunately?) own the same ASUS ROG card
Nah, the ROG 4090 is a Beauty and a Beast, nothing unfortunate here ...
@@Blafard666 Yeah, I was only joking, I love my 4090
I do like the idea of showcasing the gpu like this. I mean yes, in regular cases, you can see the gpu but this completely focuses on it. It wonder if they will manufacture an adapter for 2 fan cards.
wow it's amazing how quickly LK99 was integrated into consumer products
Nice to see more ITX options from these manufacturers but im curious , i see new mid tower atx cases but are there any new m-atx cases?
Love that Case Concept
It's 2024 and Steve still has to ask the question "Where air go?" when reviewing fan based cooling solutions, and it is hillarious every time :P
Those first two cases were actually pretty dang cool. Don't think I would get one, but I definitely think they could have appeal.
I swear, the people in the design and marketing department need to be sat down and taught a basic course on airflow or fluid dynamics or something because "Can we just put some RGBs here" covering up the ventilation. Either engineering or fabrication needs more of a say than their people with art or english degrees.
I always check the GPU fin-stack orientation before purchasing depending what case I'm using - case designers don't seem to take much notice of how a GPU's airflow is meant to work & probably just use the dimensions - "yeah they fit, it's fine" 🤔🤔
"there's steve!?!"
*hides in corner of shame*
12:42 yeah... They said that about the last version that is sitting in my pc right now... The cap pops right off, but they never EVER release any other caps for it... You could have them 3d printed pretty easy... but again... Never came to materialization. Look at the CoolerMaster Master Liquid "Mirage" models The center cap pops right out..
I do like how CM cases look with gold trim on them
was the upgraded mm720 mouse at the cooler master booth?
I would love to see a review of that invertable gpu case
One of the reasons I love this channel so much is because Steve isn't afraid to just shit talk companies right to their face. CM got absolutely dunked on this entire video and the CM guys in the back like =-/.
I really hope the reptiloids don't get him. He should employ a taster at least.
7:26 that's a good point because it's an indicator on weither or not the system is working... somewhat.
I never expected that holy grail of physics would randomly popup from computer expo XD
I like that cutout for the GPU.
Love the MSI motherboard on that Asus collaboration case (the one with the Videocard on top) lol
that’s a great looking cooler!
@15:00 I wonder how well that patent would hold up in the EU.
Generally I don't understand how the US even allows such unspecific patents.
LED, power on two sides, interlocking.
That feels like if anyone would design a new car and patent it as: Electric motor, four wheels, all wheels powered.
There are just so many ways to build something. So if three competitors already took all the options the rest of the competition can't work with the new standard at all
the modified nr200p reminded me off xikii ff04 and forfun02 pro case. very interesting
my HAF 932 could use a new UO module. any chance you have hookups at CM that could sell these direct on demand? I'm sure they have a bunch in some warehouse or crate
I think the point of the ITX case is that heat will probably go up anyways in such an open case. idk if thermals will be that big of an issue on the gpu which saves you all the issues with putting holes in the top and bottom plates
With all the comments and suggestions from Steve, I’d love to see him attempt to actually design some products. See if he can actually craft a product from the ground up that works as he assumes.
Steve out here with proposed testing protocols for phone coolers. This man never stops thinking about testing protocols.
The bottom of the GPU thing being solid would be the same as if it was on an open air test bench since that’s where a motherboard would be. I expect open air test bench cooling performance since that is basically what it is for the GPU.
there kinda is a reason for the bottom to be a solid panel on the top mount gpu. Once you remove steel, integrity, the metal poles will be attached to a more flimsy material. whilst those parts will be firmly fixed the sides will not be as sturdy when lifting, so the rest of the chassis for holding it risks warping which will put strain on the pcie connection. it will considerably lessen the weight you can lift by the top which may cause damage to parts..... just saying.
