The bigger your vision is, the more important it is for you to build a team. One of the challenges that people have is they want to be something they're not. Everybody wants to be the Shaq or the LeBron or the Kobe instead of realizing their area of strength.

Biz Dev - 1:14
Visionary - 2:19
Operations - 7:01
Finance - 7:49
Expansion - 8:15
Marketing - 9:36
Legal - 10:55
Information - 11:51
Product Development - 12:47
Sales - 14:13

Thanks Pat. You don't know how much this video means to me. I graduate with a general business degree a year ago, often questioning myself which of the business sectors I should pursue, my passion, my strengths, and stressing myself out eventually. This brief video gave me some ideas on what I should focus on.. Even though I'm not an entrepreneur but your videos never fail to inspire me. There isn't many people around who are able to share such knowledge as simple and straightforward as you do. Thanks again Pat :)

Timely presentation. I will be sharing this with my team as we grow. Thanks, Patrick.
Just found your channel on Facebook. And wow, so motivational. I love the way you think and go about things. I aspire to be successful in the future. Starting my journey already. I'm 19 studying Accounting and Finance at university, and currently working as 'Business Support' helping out the director and main manager of the company with all sorts of work. I love it. Love being involved in how the company and seeing how it is run from a directors point of view.
Will be definitely subscribing and watching more of your videos. I bet you've heard it before, but good work, keep going, I'm sure you will.

Found a gold 🔥
I'm an entrepreneur and the point to be noted is when you are a rookie entrepreneur you are all of these 10 roles
This is really a very good video. Especially for non management professionals who are into business they do not have all this ready made knowledge.
As a professional who has been apart of a ton of internal and external compliance audits, you had me lmao when you said “Why would we worry about compliance? No one cares about compliance!” Oh boy that’s good one. I’ll tell ya who worries about compliance, damn near every board member, damn near every partner or potential client and the regulators damn sure care about compliance. Lmao boy that made my day
I liked vid at number 2, thanks mate, great video
Great sales strategy at the end!
Tanks pat.I am definetly in Marketing more than anything.
awesome content. thanks!
I'm a fan you patrick. nice video to understand everything
There is a person who structures and systemizes work for all of those. That is me, a project manager / PMO specialist
As a sole entrepreneur who bootstraps their own company and can't afford to outsource.. you are ALL of these roles for a while. Get comfortable. You also can't take other people's opinions of what you are because they can only speak from the appearance of who you are.. anybody can develop skills in any of these areas. I'd love to see Pat do a video on that situation because I think it is a reality for many.
This was good, Pat

The Guy is a Clown....if this is what you admire .
@@KimPhilby203 who do u advice
Information and marketing are in the same category, the problem is you are considering marketing as only advertising on the other areas you explained it perfectly.
Great Video
Thanks for the insight on this. If you were to have one person or second on the team beyond the CEO who would that be in the earlier process of a startup to succeed?
keep it coming get in
THANK YOU AGAIN HABIBI!
Great Video! You are totally Cobra Kai material and know how to sweep the leg! I guess that's how Cobra Kai on UA-cam used all their people of different talent to use ads, marketing, smart tactics etc to make their show number 1 on the market and keep it going. I guess it's all the same but in different fields. Love your wording. I enjoyed your education. A+++
Love this! "your Chief Information guy is Google.... " LOL, so true.
I need this.
This video was extremely helpful, thank you so much. Could you please tell me where people with multiple language & communication skills fit better ? Biz Dev, Marketing or Sales ?
Hi Pat,
I have an important question related to this video:
If you created an company and someone is joining the company and get 1/3 of the shares of the company . How do you determine whos going to be the CEO of the company? And the second question , The one who created the company with the vision of making it succesful , is he the visionnary ? and CEO?
Thank you for sharing your expertise
I'd say 'Risk Management' instead of 'Legal' - similar, but more encompassing of what needs to be done here.
Who's making sure that, while you're busy strategising, growing and innovating - you're sufficiently mitigating the myriad pitfalls that businesses, especially those in their formative years, encounter?
Who's ensuring that your organisation is being governed and controlled effectively?
Who is that trusted advisor you can turn to for an independent opinion when you most need it? Your Lawyer is but one element of the wider concept here.
This is something most organisations overlook.
very good...i am Iranian 35 years old ,,,,,master student in Latvia .and love to know more about you ...
thank you
Mr. Bet-David, I'd say the marketing and product development needs to be looked at again in 2016. It's becoming more and more important for marketing and the development of the product to be intertwined because the product is ultimately the most powerful marketing tool.
Taking feedback and matching the product/positioning it to your audience will become a force multiplier for marketing campaigns.
Very powerful, made me realize who I really am! Thank you Pat!
You’re wonderful. Thank u for this channel. Ok hear me out. I’m working on a business plan for an industry that I believe has poor management structure. Of course there are a few companies doing it right but far and few do. Do you have any advice for how to structure a business that has contractors and employees? I have no access to a business model for this specific niche
You forget production dev. They make sure things are as perfect as the samples... they make sure the quality and productivity of product of the company to take off... after all what matters is what people gets from your company.
