What I enjoy about your videos is two things. Your passion and how simply you explain what your doing. And we get to see the process of getting it right. The work it takes to do it. Can't wait to implement the some of the things you taught me. Thanks!!
Congratulations on your channel growth! :D Man i would love it if you could make a video on how to make 'quick' youtube videos where everything is synced up and ready to go. Like: - how to you have your audio connected? - what do you use to record, edit and export? - what export settings do you use? - when you're using multiple camera angles or doing screencapture plus camera shot, how do you do that all at once.. I would also love a video on lighting, specifically how to get that wonderful soft glow type of lighting that you have. Like when you've purchased a big 120D type light and you're still not getting that, what could be the hangup? Maybe talk about camera settings (something I don't see people get into) - what ISO is used and are there reasons you'd want a higher or lower ISO (to get that soft light effect) - what profile settings are used (sharpness, saturation, etc.) - and anything else that goes into pulling that off And i did watch your lighting tips video, which was awesome! But looking for those more specific tips when you've got these things you've suggested in place, and the lighting still isn't coming off as soft/gentle.
Thanks for the comment Lance 😊 that is a hell of a lot to cover in one video but I will surely do my best for you! It might end up being a couple of videos but I will get on with it! Thanks 😊
How about something on how to capture audio in the field... covering all bases, getting clean dialogue, guessing levels, syncing AV... and sneaky places to hide however many handy recorders you can afford. Oh, and how to remember where you hid them... A photog at a gig recently placed one in front of us that looked like a tiny slim laser pointer with barely a bump or button on it... any idea what that night have been? Congrats on Two Fiddy!!
Thank you 😊 Yeah that’s a cracking idea! I like that a lot, I would imagine that little recorder is a Sony TX650 which is essentially a dictaphone but they accidentally made it really good 😂 They used to only be about £50 but every wedding videographer in the world started buying them and now they are £150ish, they are great for micing up the bride and groom but also really good for really long scratch audio. I think they last for 12 hours on one charge!
I've been asking myself recently: what's the minimum amount of light output & beam angle to effectively use diffusion on a key light? The reason is I picked up an LED panel at such a good price I'm trying to make it work despite it not being the most powerful or having an ideal beam angle. In other words, is a great deal justification enough to forego a better lighting solution. Hope this gives you some inspiration, keep up the great work!
Really enjoying this channel. As a couple of others have said, something on camera settings for video on a dslr (ISO, shutter speed and the impact/effect changes can make); looking for that cinematic feel. Maybe something on green screen/talking head type videos (I produce news videos for staff in the main using OBS but what else could I do -B-roll, etc).
Could you quickly break down sonys range of cams and the pros and cons? I'm a bit confused between the various model numbers and specs (why are there like 3 different A7's?!?!).
keep going 👍
Will do thank you!

Soph: i was just about to like this... but mat already had - why can i not like it twice? ;) xx
Haha! Thank you both!
Alternatively, could you quickly run through what you do with your footage? - injest, file sorting, backups, colour grading, sharpening etc.

Haha I like this! I will attempt it!
