There are SO MANY games out there. I like that you're covering older titles. So many people on UA-cam talk about the latest games. But it's nice to hear about the games that have stood the test of time, and are still considered good. I haven't played any of these. But I've heard good things about Blood Rage. Also, I love when you do your videos with your children. So sweet.
Blood Rage is our favorite game, we have been playing it almost every week. Last week we played 3x times. Yesterday we played 2x times on a Sunday, alongside 2x plays of Cthulhu Death May Die as well. And all we have is the base game, with the 5th player expansions. You don't need anything else besides that, it's perfect, we always get a winner using completel different strategies and cards, it's amazing, and IT NEVER GETS OLD. It's the game that got me into the hobby 8 years ago, and I've playd so many times by now I lost count. I really love it.
I love the idea of talking about older games! I hope you'll do a few more like this. I haven't played any of the three you talked about, but I have REALLY wanted to try Blood Rage for a long time!
I play at a public meetup and some of the regulars there only have games from before 2011. It is a great way to play older titles, although many of the Knizia ones are reprinted in new editions.
I love this series. Blood Rage is great. I have not only Genotype, but also Cytosis and Cellulose, which are a bit more colorful and a bit more complex. Love science!! On a list like this I would definitely put Carcassonne on (but with all expansions and maps etc.) But if I really get started, I could add soo many more (including Go, one of the most ancient and my NO 1 goat).
I do like giving attention to games that still evoke interest years later. They deserve to be rehighlighted. Also, love that you have the little ones running around & in your videos. Parenthood is not something that should ever have to be hidden. Sorry, still not over that video of the newscaster that stayed in "on air" mode when he was broadcasting from his home. (think during Covid) He just sat there like nothing was going on as the nanny drags his son out of the room. Probably thought it would have been unprofessional to react. Would have been more professional if he had excused himself for a second, picked up his son, maybe had him say hello to the camera (would have loved that), and gently returned him to the nanny, and finished the broadcast.
Love Genotype!! I was in the opposite side, bought because of the theme, loved bio classes in high school, but expecting it would be a meh gaming experience. Wow! I was wrong. Really good game! But that said, am I the only one that thinks the baby was the real 10/10 of this video! ❤

Iki has been on my list for so long, ever since watching Game Night!

Three games that I've seen often without really thinking about it. Genotype and Iki being my choices for sure.
