Thank you for this great comparison video. You did an amazing job introducing the three and touched on many of my thoughts on the subject. I also loved how you let your (sweet) son be part of the video and how calmly you handled everything. It looks like your kids are lucky to have you as their mother.

Since I have the Nesting Box for Wingspan and spent the time to deluxify it I’m sticking with Wingspan only for now and maybe at some point I will get the other two when my gamer friends who have Wyrmspan and will have Finspan move away or something like that. :)

After watching this video, I decided to purchase Finspan.

i have wingspan with expansions and i like the game,I played just recently wyrmspan, and i don't know yet if i like it more or the same then wingspan, i think jut a bit more, and then i hear about finspan, and i think what? another one, thanks for comparisation I don't think i'm up for this one, look's nothing for me maybe because it is easyer and the board are verticaly so big, that is not easy. wyrmspan is on my wishlist. but don't think i'm gonna buy finspan.

I really enjoyed this video. This is the best comparison that I've seen of the three 'span games. You walked through the mechanics of each game concisely. This is one of the best (if not the best) of the videos outlining Finspan. I'm definitely going to be following you to watch future videos. On top of everything I've said, you are an AMAZING multitasker and I loved that your child was in the video. As a parent myself, I understand that life doesn't stop when are kids are around, and sometimes we have to adapt to support them. You were both mother and UA-camr and did them flawlessly. Thanks for being such a great example. And lastly - YES about the transparent cards! Yes, yes, yes! Jamey could just take my money so easily if only he'd do it! ;)

My first impression is the cover art. Not a fan of the fish they chose. Why not add that vibrant color like the other two by adding a tropical fish? It would be far more inviting. I also like how Wingspan got a little more complex with Wyrmspan. Why not make Finspan even more complex? It feels like this one is the lightest of the 3. Lastly, the components feel cheap and rushed. I’m sure it makes sense and was play tested a ton, but the components of the first two games looks so good but the last one feels cheap.

You said dive in several times. You should have put a splash 💦 sound in during edits. 😅 First video I’ve watched and subscribed.

Love this video, very nice done. You are NOT the "odd one" though. I also love Wingspan (in my top 10) and don't care about Wyrmspan at all. When it comes to your little nit-pick of inside-out vs outside-in player boards -- I don't care on this so much as you. BUT my big problem is that wyrms don't exist, and I wish SM would have made a trilogy about real animals. So, WORMS would have been better (or even barnacles - Darwin's study before "Species") or mammals or insects or really anything else living or extinct.

Wyrm -> wing -> fin for me. I don't mind the concepts of fin but as you mentioned the board isn't great, and I also think the components look childish and cheap. I'll pick it up on ebay in a year

My favorite its wingspan too!! I know it's very unpopular opinion but I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm definitely getting Finspan bc why not have them all?😂

Very interesting to hear about the similarities and the differences between the three games. I think the fish theme of Finspan actually appeals to me the most out of the three.

I have not decided if i like Wingspan yet. And I have not had the chance to try Wyrmspan to date (but I do want to). But I am VERY interested in Finspan a lot!

Transparent cards sound great after you play them, but how would they work in the deck, face down, and players are not supposed to know what's coming up. Maybe as a promo, they can release smart glass tiles to start off opaque and turn transparent when played. More likely, the digital version would be where you'll find what you're hoping for...

Sounds like Flip 7 was the popular Christmas gift. lol. I got it as well as a Christmas gift. Played it a handful of times so far and it feels like it can have 2 speeds to. You'll get a game that drags on cause everyone is busting or very careful anytime they get any number of points. Our last game seemed to go pretty fast as everyone was rolling with the luck.

Also, listicles are always the way to go. Low value or cheap to mass produce

Wok & Roll is extremely easy to get in Singapore, where I'm from. I live in the UK but return to Singapore periodically. It's available at Tangs, Shopee, Lazada, and other toy websites from Singapore. Korean Wave exoansion is readily available too. Time to plan a holiday to Singapore and Bangkok and pick them up! Thanks for putting this game on my radar. The authentic 'zichar' aesthetic is ao beautifully Singaporean (and not China)

Flip 7 was quite simple yet worked pretty well with a 7p group. I agree that waiting for the 200 threshold made it drag a bit.

I got Flip 7 for Christmas and I really like it. I've played it a couple times with my game group, and both times there were big moments where everyone cheers or laughs when someone pushes their luck far enough to go for 7. I think it's a game where how fun it is depends a bit on the people playing it.

Why is it always ladies that are in the top 5% of overall physical attractiveness in this entire world the ones to start off videos and conversations with pointing out a perceived physical flaw they have while still being next level hot where people wouldn’t have even noticed. We have Surfosaurus Max and really enjoy it. It’s great. My 7.5 year old picked it up right away. Not sure about the whole smoothie thing but the production looks pretty at least. We’re 1-play into Flip 7 and had a blast during that play.

Heard of Flip7 but the other two are new to me. C&C sounds INTERESTING!

I have been trying to find Flip 7 and have not been able to get a copy yet. Sure hope the company has more copies on the way to retail.

They actually will have a deluxe token pack available soon! It includes little fish egg tokens, along with meeples for the young and schools. Looks really nice, especially the sort of transparent orange fish eggs.

Level Up Retreat last year was my first board game convention, and I went there by myself too. I was meeting up with some people from a Discord group, and that wound up being a blast, but I also appreciated the "looking for player/teacher" flags and used those when I first arrived.

I have a bit of a different perspective on Gnome Hollow. I actually find it can be fairly interactive with the tile placement, and I've had some games of it be downright brutal! While you can't add a tile to a ring that another player has a gnome on, you can place tiles in nearby spots to make it more difficult for them to finish their rings. In my games we usually wind up having to abandon rings pretty often for this reason. Also because you only have a couple of gnomes and you are incentivized to move one at the end of your turn, it's pretty common for one player to begin working on a ring just for another player to swoop in and steal it out from under them. You can't be everywhere at once. So while you can't prolong the path a player has already claimed without their permission, there definitely are other ways in which you can foil other people's plans in the tile placement.

I much prefer the playing conventions to the selling ones
