Just so you are aware, this is actually a direct copy of a Japanese brand called Defi so be careful telling peopt to buy these over eBay copies as this is also a direct copy of another manufacturers product. Love your work though boys, keep it up 👍
Took the words right out of my mouth here. I know these copies are appealing with young fella's that don't want/can spend the big bucks on genuine but justraceparts didn't "design" anything here.
Had the same gauge setup in my gu for over a year now and it’s been flawless. Love having the egt warning to yell at me when I’m giving it too much up a hill😂
Just as a matter of interest, I fitted a similiar unit to my Defender Tdi300 called the Madman EMS. I was shocked to see the old landy (518k Km on the odo) running at 760 deg C when at full boost. Nearly had a heart attack! Completely changed my driving style on old diesels after seeing that!
Love your work guys. I would recommend a boost controller and a proper dyno tune to keep it safe and reliable. They are worth the extra bucks for sure. I have a GU TD42 intercooled with a 3inch exhaust and my figures went from 65.8kw (rear wheels) @ 9.9psi boost to 104.7kw @ 14.8psi. This is considered a conservative tune with great benefits. The factory intercooler did very little at this stage after which I upgraded with a large HPD top mount. Dyno tune was $320, Boost controller was $90. The intercooler was the expensive part ($2140) but I did the install myself. The way you guys operate you would have no problem installing an intercooler yourself. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for this. Been wanting to fit a simple additional temp gauge / buzzer but I think this will do so much more and be a great deal more useful . Really liked the way you positioned the camera on the gauge when describing, too. Top banana!
Liam- Put a intercooler on it either a factory gu one but make sure it has a fan or HPD. Which I run are unreal and my EGT with 12psi sits about 220* at 100 and goes only upto 300* when I boot it cheers
@@jayarre1839 bruh....... It doesn't matter whether the engine is petrol or diesel, a turbo engine without any load on the turbo will have vacuum/negative manifold pressure

Hey Guys, I was going to order a hoodie but you only have them in 3XL, I'm a big bloke so I'm not sure if that size will fit me... Love that gauge, I might fit one to my 80 series, will you have a discount code in the future or is that grasping at straws?
how is the setup working over time, would it be better to place the control box under the bonnet then you only need to run one wire through the firewall.
Hey boys just got my new jrp 14in 1 screen was just wondering if your screen come with a mounting bracket and if the controller box come with the wiring to connected to power cheers
Hey there, I was trying for ages to do this as well. In case you haven't figured it out you have to turn the ignition on to turn on the unit, slide the switch to SET on the remote, then press the WARN.SET button, then highlight BOOST on the screen (should be the first one), then hold the WARN.SET button until you hear a single beep. It will now be calibrated to zero.
You young lads are Legend's in the making. Cheers fella's.
Negative Boost is how you are meant to read it. Thats when idle .. its vacuum so you need to set 0 boost when engine is off.

Good thing defi is 2nd best to stack. Can't get much better
Defi's is what 1700 plus, where the JRP is 300 odd for the same thing?

On turbo diesel…big dump pipe and big exhaust is better plus an intercooler of some variation

Finally put my order in for my hoodie. 👍🏻
Happy to support a bunch of young fellas giving it a red hot go.
Cannot wait for all the merch I ordered to get here! When my cars built lets go for a rip! I'll bring the drones haha

for sure will do a similar setup when i turbo my 106, love the vids! and just ordered a shirt! keep it up fellas
I just put one on my turbo 106
What a piece of equipment!! How cool is that…
Wish I knew about that when I done all my gauges 👍🏽
your boost was correct, it diddnt need adjustment, its reading negative while off boost as its in a vacuum.
shouldn’t be any vacuum at all on a diesel motor 👍🏼

550 post turbo. 700'pre turbo.
I hit 800'plus up some big dunes tho no issues

My favourite pub right there hahaha all you lads locals ?
Seems like pretty good value !!
Another great episode guys. Thanks. Want some merch, but pouring money into the pajero at the moment, so merch will have to wait....😆
EGt wise, it depends where your sensor is if its pre turbo you can go 700+/ or 800+ for short periods
Post turbo 550~ max generall
That being said my High roof LWB, with a full 3" Straight through with fuel screw almost maxed out never went over 500 post turbo
awesome stuff kewl looks good as well sweet yeh its got the main inputs you need . same inputs as mine but ive got gauges.. big thumbs up
Boost should be 0.0 when engine is off, not at idle.
Yes, because at idle it is under vacuum

Negative boost is normal? You see all the new cars on idle they create a vacuum?
A diesel does not make vacuum
That’s the reason that have a vacuum pump
what is your turbo pressure?
please

Can these run on 24V system? .....bloody safari's
Wishing I knew about this guage setup before doing mine, I spent about $550 for 2 dual digital saas and pillar pod 😢
You should zero all gauges with ignition on, engine off. Boost is usually negative while idling.
Not on a diesel, they don't make vacuum hense why diesel boost gauges don't have provisions for negative pressure
Hey mate are u running ocams or soemthing else. I need new mirrors but don’t really wanna spend $600. Cheers
Knowledgeable blokes 👍🏽
Video title should be “sales pitch for JRP gauge “
Onya boys
When are you guys making a windows sticker
Can u change the display colours on the gagues
Look into raptor coating your cab and tray! 8L would do the whole thing and make it looks unreal only downfall is the paint.
Please no raptor
Raptor looks worse.
You can adjust how you want it so it’s glossy and not so mat and rough
Are you gonna get a stanio snorkel
How did u set the boost at 0???
Just installed one of these on my td ute cant figure out for the life of me how to calibrate the boost to zero how did you do it

what did this cost?
Nice,👍
I would say more bloody boost than a Stock zd30 engine.
more than 16psi?
Aaand I now regret not buying one of those.
Haha your EGTs would be fine up to 550°, even 600+ would.be fine, time so they're go up to 400° then slowly climb from there
All U need now is a stainless steel exhaust
Negative boost is vacuum which is normal
You boys are beli beli gud (hongkong version). soyoungsogood.
So it cost $300 all up for the everything for the gauges
? You tell me
Td42t gu patrols get to 700 egt from factory cause the exhaust is too small and chokes em up that’s post turbo not pre turbo
Has anyone else yelled it should be in vacuum at idle!?
wtf is up with your mirrors ? so far down the door ?
I hope this wasn’t a paid advertisement 🤦♂️
450 egts is nothing for a td42 that’s very low boost with no fuel really
