It’s just she never follows through and refuses to be consistent for more than a week. She kills me with the weighing herself so often and refuses to acknowledge that’s not a good idea and that the scale will move up and down for a million different reasons.
The thing is at Amber's weight you really shouldn't even need to count calories to lose weight. Her base metabolic rate is conservatively around 3,000 calories. If she truly did plateau, it's not because accidentally ate a few hundred calories over 1,600. It's because she is still deeply addicted to food.
This is how stupid Amberlogic is, she is afraid to eat less than what it would take for someone her size to lose. Like the real fear is hunger. She think hunger makes her binge so she eats all day and then ends up binging because it's her mental illness not anything else.
I think people forget to take body fat % into account when you calculate bmr or tdee. When you calculate her dmr based on 40% bf she needs 3300 to maintain but if you change that to a more realistic 70% bf her bmr calories go down to 1800.

No, her BMR is closer to 2,000 or even less than that - hard to tell without knowing her exact activity level. 1,600 is obviously not "easy" for someone who is chronically overeating.
@@ZazooEel57 no it's way higher. she'll use a bunch of cals just going for a dump. and the fluids don't move around on their own or the chest move up and down on it's own.
at the end of the day people who are 500 pounds and have someone else than their own lying ass document what they eat regularly hit 6000-10000++. she could absolutely do the jared diet and have the 2000 cals it had and absolutely lose weight for a long long time.
anyway the formulas don't work for superultramassive persons for calorie burn and neither does the amount of much they can actually use of the food they eat(fatty poop), but in all documentaries and studies from past decades the people who are ambers size eat a lot of food. a lot. anyhow, you could also go take a look at that 'off track' 'non binge' what i eat in a day where she lies the calories to half of what she shows and it's still 3000 something(actual cals 5000-6000).
her resting calorie burn rate could be measured though at a facility(measuring from breathing).
I'm glad someone invented guacamole so amber can eat avacados without dealing with her nemesis, the stupid circle.

It's the American way lol I'm lucky that my tap water is spring water but if lived closer to the cities, I'd definitely invest in a brita filter or something. At this point, people who buy plastic water bottles are just ignorant and lazy.
What makes a plastic bottle non reusable? Because ngl that sounds like a choice. Unless it cracks it’s perfectly reusable.
@Morgan Beck It's recommended to not do that because of the likelihood of chemical leaching and bacteria growing.
I think the chemical leakage can take a bit. Maybe a few days of reusing the plastic water bottle isn’t too bad unless it has high sugar (maybe some preworks, cordials and milk products or other things that aren’t plain water). I forget my water bottle at work every now and then. I buy a water and use the bottle for the rest of the day. I’ll reuse the bottle ( when I go camping I usually use old, used plastic bottles for washing detergent, shampoo or liquid soap or hand hygiene stuff). Or I recycle it. 😅
it's not recommended but then again "re-usable" plastic water bottles aren't recommended either to leave water in.

finland used to have reusable plastic coke bottles though for example(a thicker plastic, you paid extra like 10cent buying them and got the 10c back when you took the bottle back, they have the same system now but they just reuse the plastic instead of reusing the bottle couple of times instead).

6yr post op WLS patient here. “Reset” is a POST bariatric term. It’s called a “pouch reset”. Classic Amber has picked up some term somewhere and using it to make us think she’s into it. Lol

I think she probably just can’t make her calories last into 6 meals. Once she eats she probably doesn’t want to stop and she eats more calories in the first few meals, she has none left for the remaining meals.

I really have to stop listening to these while I'm doing the filing at work. People can't see the bud in my ear and now I look insane because the filing cabinets are apparently hilarious 🤣
When she went to that first weight loss doctor, he had her eating 900 calories. I had my weight loss surgery on December 6th 2022 and on some days I barely get any food in because my stomach just straight up will not accept it. If I had to estimate, I eat less than 300 calories in a day, my body is in such a deep fat burn that I don't even need to be eating. My team has legit told me that if I don't feel hungry, don't eat. Idk why she's got this stick up her ass about 'oh no i have to eat, i HAVE TO EAT.' If you're not hungry, don't eat. That's the #1 rule after weight loss surgery. If she has this mindset after surgery she's gonna end up hurting herself.
Also I can't wait to see the waterworks start after the liquid diet starts. My team had me on a liquid diet for 2 weeks pre-op and 3 weeks post-op. 5 weeks of that shit. If I never see a cup of chicken broth again it'll be too soon.
I had mine on November 28th and I just had pumpkin with a small spaghetti and I can’t eat the spaghetti the pumpkin made me full
she "has" to eat because she is addicted to getting high from eating.
is that a good state to get wls in? well of course no, it isn't. even if she isn't hungry she wants to get high from it.

Yes, there is obviously some feel good chemicals involved, but everyone gets those from food. The real problem is that she doesn't know how else to make herself feel good when she feels bad. It's a mechanism she uses to regulate her emotions. Maybe knowing that her stomach can burst will be enough for her to stop eating for long enough to get her life back in order. There's a pill for alcoholics that makes them physically miserable or die when they consume alcohol. For some people that's enough to not drink.
My money is on she won’t get the surgery
@@RamoArt 'high' is relative to people, she certainly gets way more satisfaction from eating than a normal person, it not even mattering that much what it is(brown rice or whatever). she's extremely uncomfortable if she doesn't get 'high' from eating a lot and that's her choice way of easing being emotionally or physically uncomfortable in addition to being the reward for anything and just plain wanting to do it all the time. you could call it feeling 'normal' vs. feeling 'bad' too but that's subjective - but say what she really wants to do on a weekend holiday is to just eat, eat and eat.
what does work is predicting and explaining her past behavior from the standpoint that she gets high from eating a lot. a normal person doesn't find it worth it to manipulate school staff to get a second lunch, but if you get way more something out of it than a normal person does it's totally worth it. eating trumps everything and anything in her life, its worth losing friends over, it's worth getting kicked out of a house to her and it's worth lying about if people get on her case about it.
knowing that her stomach will burst certainly will not do it, appetite suppressants that take away some of the joy of eating doesn't even work because it's learned behavior, she tries to chow down pizza on those too.
or equivalent to an alcoholic having acute pancreatetitis from drinking and being very likely to get another attack if they continue drinking and dying very painfully after a certain number of attacks destroying their organs(not just pancreas itself) more and more every time, despite that most(way more than half) continue drinking and ambers mindset is certainly in more than that half as literal risk of dying didn't already get her to get her shit together..
It gives me so much heart palpitations to watch her drink FOUR plastic bottles of water while sitting at home 😭
Especially when we know she definitely has a reusable water bottle or twelve.

Yeah...I got bit by a dog at a shelter, deep enough to see fat and tendons, and I was in so much shock I couldn't speak, let alone demand to stop for food before my hand was taken care of.
Also there's a photo floating around of the healed wound. The tip of the knife nicked her...she didn't "stab herself". And if she saw fat, it was because her hand is coated in fat.

When ALR takes a hiatus from UA-cam it’s because she’s full blown into her food addiction and binging. She exposed herself in her video. Her day 1 “streak” means that she has not been eating healthy and she is in the process of starting from the beginning again. Her weigh in got “deleted” because she gained, and she can try and convince herself she’s “plateaued” at 500 lbs- but that’s simply not the truth. She is well over a 3,000 calorie diet a day at this point. She is going to hurt herself if she continues to lie to herself and the professionals, man I’m tired of this.
Yeah lmfao why not just do another weigh in if you accidentally deleted it? Even if it's the next day, your weight isn't going to dramatically change over night...

I just recently saw a video by a UA-camr called Kiana Docherty where they follow a few people trying to lose weight and how they think they are eating a certain amount of calories when in reality they are eating up to three times more calories.
It’s a very interesting video that explains why Amber is eating 1200 and not losing weight.
She's pretty good about researching before her videos for sure. I've seen that one - she's on point.

She’s ordering take out, no way she would maintain eating what she has shown us in groceries. She actually looks like she’s gained. None of what she is doing is going to work, she’s setting herself up to binge, well maybe not, she doesn’t binge anymore.
If she thinks this is stressful now, wait and see, if by some miracle, she gets the surgery, it doesn't end there. She'll have to wait a few months, before trying to eat normal food and a whole lot less. She has to take supplements, and can't overeat or she'll throw up. I know, I went to W/L seminars with my cousin. She had it done and loss a lot of weight. She navigated well through the nausea and discomfort, of the first three months, but it came out good for her. WL surgery is not for sissies, I can tell you that. Doubt if AL will be able to hack it all. She cries about everything.

My surgeon allowed some whole grains. Not all programs are the same. That being said, I still don’t believe she’s actually trying to get surgery. I think it’s just for views.
And she says she doesn't have a cycle, this is back to stage one again of the cycle.
Riveting 👀 the only time AL overcompensates by eating super healthy and starts a day 1 is when she’s been off track and has gained a lot of weight and is trying something new. She looks bigger, like at 540/550 or she’s really swollen.

2 things. First off…. Why isn’t she saying GRAMS of protein?! Second… AYYYG INTOLERANCE WHO?!!!!
She must have ignored specific foods the Dr told her not to eat. Broccoli is a very gaseous good and one you aren't allowed to eat for months after weight loss surgery. I had gastric bypass in 2017 and feel like I can speak on this all since I'm on year 6 post op. She's not giving up soda to he a big, strong, brave girl. She won't be able to drink carbonated drinks after surgery. And this whole eating 6 times a thing day made me laugh because she has 0 idea what that means after WLS. If she can't stick to something now, there's no way she won't gain the weight back she loses IF she gets surgery. Also, just bc one doctor signs a letter saying they think she should qualify doesn't mean she will. Each bariatric practice has their own process but they will still have her see their psychologist. I literally saw a woman get denied the week before her surgery because of her approach. She's putting the cart before the horse.

People are under the rubble for days and weeks in my country (and they are literally starveeeeen unlike our gorl) , and they are dealing with the loss of their homes and families. I come to UA-cam for distraction, and I see another ALR video complaining that her audience is not 100% positive. I relate that everyone has their own struggles and anxieties but ALR has been yearning for positive support for years, and she finally got that in the name of French support and it's still not enough for her. The audience is still blamed for her lack of her ability of being herself. I'm so fed up. Get out of here.

I just find it strange that she got approved within DAYS of starting this program. Most bariatric programs require MONTHS of therapy, dieting, and counseling before you get surgery. Nor do they tell you to loose only “1 pound”. Because losing 1 pound doesn’t prove that you know how to lose weight and keep it off. She is gonna have a huge reality. Check when she can’t eat any solid food for months. She’s not going to survive.
You also couldn’t pay me to eat anything that Amber Lynn cooks because she literally murder is it even more than it’s already dead. She overcooks everything until it is as dry as a Sahara desert. You cannot convince me that people like her cooking.

As someone who cut off a finger tip Twice it's literally extremely painful. The first time I went to Urgent Care and they dumped my finger into straight alcohol for like a minute straight and I honestly would have rather died by a gunshot to the head or drowning or anyting to get away from that situation. Worst pain in my entire life. I've given birth at only six cm dilated. I have had multiple numerous more than I can count episodes of almost dying from allergic reaction. I would rather have an allergic reaction while giving birth than cut off the tip of my finger again.
I was present when this happened to someone (with a kitchen knife) and I remember the trauma as a bystander so I feel you 😭
There's a photo floating around of her injury after it healed a bit. It's obvious she nicked her palm with the knife tip, that's all. Maybe she saw fat but that's only because her hand is coated in fat.
