Thanks for saying what u did about this being a new thing and we did great without before! I personally think this baby led weaning is a joke and of course gimmicky. I wasn’t comfortable doing this. Babies naturally will know how to chew on their own time. I still spoon my baby most of the time and I prefer it that way because I don’t have the time or energy to clean a huge mess every time he eats. Call it lazy if u will but I’m just being honest and it’s what I prefer! If he chooses to want to do feed himself then fine. And another thank u for saying they are fine with milk and or formula. Sometimes my baby will eat once a day or three times a day. I was driving myself crazy with all these details and my pediatrician told me to relax! As long as he’s not losing weight and on tract with his weight gain he’ll be ok.
The pressure from others is wild!!! We gotta do what we think is best for our babes. We are the ones who know them not others. You’re doing amazing!!

I agree. Babies have been going from baby food to solids for 1000s of years. Every baby is different and there’s no set age/month…it’s just a feel. It doesn’t have to be so technical/professional.
