I'm sure some people in the family feel the same actually. You hear them talk when there's family in the hot seat on the podcast, and you regularly hear "I didn't know that" and "I had know idea." So some of this stuff is just getting around the family for the first time as well. I find that fascinating, and yes, I am grateful that they are sharing this stuff with the rest of us. While most of it is tame and perhaps just unknown information, a few things here and there are sort of "skeletons in the closet" type things, and don't always paint everyone in a nice light, but Dale Jr. has really helped everyone be OK with that over time with the podcast. Good stuff. 👍🏼👍🏼

If they're anything like me, they love talking about Dale like I love talking about my own daughter who was killed in a car accident 9 yrs, 1 month and 19 days ago. I'm sure Dale Jr & Kelley probably know exactly how many days it's been that their daddy's been gone. But they still love to talk about him and tell stories. I know I do. I talk about my daughter any chance I get. Because that's all I have now is the memories to share. I miss her more and more every day. 😔
I realize that's not who's on here now. I was just saying in general. But that applies to all of his family. I'm sure they all love talking about Dale Sr.

Thank you to the Earnhardt Family for giving us fans the stories of your lives. My uncle raced on dirt. I grew up listening and watching racing. My Dad loved Dale Sr.'s racing style. He was a hero to the working man. My dad was the head electrician for a Firestone Tire building company. He was deaf. My dad took me to alot of races all up n down the east coast. I became a fan of Big E then Little E. I stopped watching racing the day Dale Jr. Retired. I only watch when he runs his once a yr. Race. What Dale Jr. Does for the fans n to promote the sport we are grateful. For those of us who lost a parent too soon we grieved right there with you. I lost my momma when I was only 19yrs.old. So your fans supported you Dale Jr. N some of us understood a part of what you were going through. So we cheered for you, were sad when things got tough for you n your family. There will never be another relationship between the fans n a driver like there was with Big E n Little E. Thank you for sharing the history of Racing n of your wonderful family.

This is so cool! A peek behind the scenes of a NASCAR legend and his family. Makes you realize he was just as normal as everyone else. But then again we all knew that about Dale Sr. that is why we all loved him. He was one of us.

It can be a bit unnerving at times, when you had a dad that was just like Dale Sr. in most ways. I'm the same age as Jr., and aside from the racing and fame, with the stories and feelings he's covered, we could have swapped dads or childhoods, and there would have been little difference. I can't count the number of times I've said "wow" or say there with my mouth wide open in shock because "that's my dad down to the dotted i and crossed t." Then trying to wrap my head around inserting that life into racing and eventually celebrity status is just mind blowing. Like you said, "one of us." How do you imagine your normal life in that situation?🤷🏻‍♂️🤯 Wow.

I am so very glad that Dale Jr is allowing family to be on his pod cast. I first saw Dale Earnhardt Sr race on my Birthday Oct 14 at North Wilkesboro Speedway North Carolina. My mother knew Dale Sr from family reunions. She is my 2 or 3 rd cousin. So I learned about Sr early on. If I remember correctly he came in #4 place in that race. We only lived about 35 minutes from N. Wilkesboro.

Rubbin' is Racin' I will always love Dale Sr. I have one entire wall dedicated to him. In my eyes Nascar died when we lost Dale. I grew up the daughter of a race car driver and racing is in my blood. My Dad was also one heck of a oval dirt track Champion and I lost him 4 years ago. Hat's off to my 2 favorite drivers, they both will forever live in my heart and there is nothing anyone could say or do to make me feel bad about my Dad or Dale Sr. Those to men were my hero's and will forever remain my hero's. Knowing how Nascar has changed so much for the worst, I feel if Dale Sr. were still with us today, he may have been retired by now but I am certain he would be the OWNER of Nascar in todays world. Dale Sr. had a passion, a dream and yea a hunger for Racin' and I don't think he would have allowed Nascar to become the mess it is in todays world. Dales Pictures and my dads pictures will remain on my walls forever in memory of the 2 greatest men I ever new. Great video Ladies thank you so much for sharing. :)

The Earnhardt's always seem so to be more than willing to share stories and memories of their memories and family...it doesn't matter if it is an interview or meeting someone on the street off camera they are genuine and willing to share what most people, especially celebrities, want to be private and u personable.. . love the stories of fans showing up at Dale's childhood home and "mawmaw" would happily answer and talk with them and I am quite certain it happened often...one webcast with kerry touring kannapolis he "kerry" unscripted ran into his aunt and she talked about how they told martha (mom) she cant just open the door to everybody like that. She was eager and proud to talk about her family. Love that genuine spirit and old time tradition
