I work at Sainsbury's and I was dreading the Xmas music kicking in on December 1st. But they've changed it this year. Some awful Xmas stuff is still there, but there's a lot of upbeat pop songs too. And after 3 days this absolute beauty pops up. I'd completely forgotten about it, and gave myself a pat on the head when I finally remembered it was Aztec Camera. What an absolutely perfect piece of pop music, and the video is so lovely too. I hope I never forget it again.
This sounds like a cross between a smart blue-eyed soul number by The Style Council and some Manic Street Preachers song, which I know is kind of weird a thing to say, but think about it.

Deacon Blue Aztec Camera and early Texas. Scotland had some great bands back then. ❤
11JUL2024 - I heard this the month it came out. Nearly 70 now. Loving life. This could be one of the 80s perfect songs.
How I miss the 80’s when life seemed so much simpler
