At that Mt. Dora dock with a stiff South breeze I’ve had to start with the door open, sitting on the end of a rope looped over a cleat in the 206. Tight quarters, and pointing into the wind can put you into the weeds if there’s any vapor lock on restart. Never knew why starting the engine before casting off isn’t more common. I also use a collapsible boat hook for fending off or hooking the dock if I’ve misjudge the approach or the wind kicks up. You need to do one on sailing next!
I appreciate your efforts to educate people but, I’m sorry, if you really want people to take away something, it would be nice if one could understand you 100%. I’m very good at (US) english in general (I lived in NJ for some years) but I needed to put the video down to 0.75 speed in order to understand every detail. You seem very experienced in docking! Good for you. I’m trying to get better but I don’t have easy access to seaplanes.

Love the drone shots, well done, super good editing
Bad ass. You got that down!
You made it look too damned easy! Rarely works that well for me in a crosswind, but I’ll keep practising…thanks for posting!
Great video, short and to the point
This looks difficult! Always been a dream to fly a seaplane. Hope to give it a crack sometime within the next year
Liked and subscribed! Very cool stuff!
Nice job!
