@@dazzlingpumppouches totally. They used to say it was a rivalry between the Beatles and Stones but growing up in the 70s it was more Stones versus Zeppelin. The United States was more about the individual stars like Elvis, Chuck Berry, later Michael Jackson, Madonna etc...but I just love music in any form.
Jon Arcuckle Why, man? Lennon was a fan of The Stones. He spend so many nights in Keith's toilet in the 60's that they knew him well. He also performed at this show with his Chinese wife.
The way Keith Richards totally nail the rythm and lead section at the same time is just amazing cause we pratically can't hear Brian's guitar...he give all the groove to the song and it just sound so natural and easy... He was a freaking good guitar player back in these days !!
For sure from about 1968-1972 were Keith's best years as a guitarist. There are audio recordings around when you can hear Brian's guitar quite clearly. Contrary to myth he was definitely plugged in. Reality is they hadn't played live in 6 months and were rusty as hell - plus they went on around 2am after being up for nearly a whole day. Nowhere near as bad as even I once thought. I'm imagining how I'd react to this video, if I saw it for the first time, but had never heard the song, or heard of the band. Even now, in 2023, I think I'd be pretty blown away. The passion, the orchestration of the song, it's truly special.
Everyone was so calm and then there's mick who looks like a child who just ate ten sugar cubes
cocaine cubes
Oh he was definitely on something. Based on when this was recorded, id say its probably acid and or hella coke
1:15 this is exactly what my little brother sounds like when he's throwing a tantrum
Or sniffed some “sugar” cubes
That's too funny
My friend from Minnesota just told me that Mr.Jimmy was a town drunk, used to be a musician, and that Mick ordered a cherry red soda but they didn't have any ,so Mr Jimmy turned to Mick and says You can't Always Get What You Want. ❤
That's awesome! I've never heard that story before.
He was the town bum jimmy was I knew him from bumming cigars from my grandpa in excelsior Mn
That story is correct about jimmy
They also did come back the year that jimmy died and sang at the grandstand for free also it was around the 4th of July I remember some of it as I was child then
Good Afternoon! Thank you for the information. Marlene Toledo Grayson
Bye Charlie. One of the best keepers of time that ever lived. Smooth sailing brother
Rock'n'Roll Circus with the greatest Rock'n'Roll Band in the world. Brilliant.
I love Mick’s energy. It makes the entire performance
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
Holds true in the 2024 election for the USA! Love it
Miley Cyrus: I'm the best at twerking
Mick Jagger: Hold my cherry red Soda
I can see it in my mind and I'm laughing my f'n ass off!
Ha between his cheeks
More like, hold my * every drug that has ever been invented, and some that havent *
Haha hehe!

He sings like he is preaching and thinking of the words love him

jk, they’re both great. I happen to like the Beatles more, but they’re both the best
@@thatweirdbeatlesgirl8285 funny because there never was a war between them , as shown by lenon being there. the public made it that way

To think these guys are still Kickin it . Mick still got his moves too. Wowwwwww
Rip Charlie Watts, one of the best rock drummers of all time
mick looks like someone singing to themselves silently in a mirror
So he looks like someone who isnt afraid to be who they are infront of the world. I wonder if that's one of the keys to a successful, happy life.
This explains everything.
I'll be your mirror
Reflect what you are, in case you don't know
I'll be the wind, the rain and the sunset
The light on your door to show that you're home
When you think the night has seen your mind
That inside you're twisted and unkind
Let me stand to show that you are blind
Please put down your hands
Cause I see you
I find it hard to believe you don't know
The beauty you are
But if you don't let me be your eyes
A hand to your darkness, so you won't be afraid
When you think the night has seen your mind
That inside you're twisted and unkind
Let me stand to show that you are blind
Please put down your hands

It's You. It's Me. 😊👑💃
All I want now is Charlie back... But I can’t always get what I want 😢
It’s crazy that you made this comment today and it has so many likes already. I mean the sing is 50 years old. Still a banger.
👏👏👏🙏🤲
yes I know
I put off watching this version for about 25 years. I am glad I did. I NEEDED THIS, TODAY! Been to too many damn Floyd concerts over the last 40 years or so. Not that I regret it, but I should come up for air more often!
I watched this whole video with a big smile on my face. It makes me feel like it's good to be alive and it's worth living, as long as there's great music to listen to
Right?
Cool story bro
Amen
Weird to think this whole concert was almost lost to time until someone found a copy in their attic around 2006.
not quite right .. The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus was released on vhs in 1996
@@paulepperson3536 ah good to know. I wasn't aware. All I remember was seeing this on PBS and them telling a story about how the footage was supposedly lost.

Just think all the songs the stones had up till this was recorded in like 7 years and all the great ones yet to come! The GOAT’s
This is like something from a movie it's hard to believe this is live! I haven't seen a live performance like this before
I have to admit I assumed they were lip syncing and this was a video.
@@michaelcorcoran8768 this doesn't seem lipsynched. The recorded version of this song has like, a choir and an orchestra backing them up, this is a more stripped down live version. They're just good performers, and it was probably well-prodixed since it was meant for tv.
Yeah! And there almost all wearing what looks like rain coats in different colors but Lennon wearing green.
I believe this IS from their movie Rock n Roll Circus.
pretty amazing right?
Jagger establishing the Stones as the bad boys of Rock and Roll.
Amazing fans like yours are the reason we have attained such level of success in our career . Thanks for your undying love and support . How long have you been a fan ?
Thank you guys for your replies to my reply. You made my day!!! Yes, I am a Super Fan of yours. Early on my older brother and my mother were fans of the Beatles, so I, being the slightly naughty one of course rejected the good old Beatles for something a bit more dangerous!!! Love you guys. You are very fascinating folk and all my life I have admired things that withstand the test of time. Good going guys!!!
No Brian did!

This is genuinely my favorite UA-cam video, the amount of energy Mick is radiating is immense
Time less stones , I sang this last night the reaction was people’s talking to me , micks song is powerful they love 💖 the stones its amazing l done it with a rap in the middle then back you can’t allways get the woman but you get what you need ahah 🎸x
It was a welsh person doing a bit in welsh seemed to work u can’t allways get a nice sheep x
Yeah drugs tend to do that
The way he stares through your soul is so weird, I’ve never seen anything like it
Is he wearing lipstick?
Jagger is the only guy in the World who can shake his ass like that and being respected. By the way its a compliment, Stones are the greatest!!! Some people does not know what is "sarcasm"
no insecure man... he is not any man with security within his masculinity knows he isn’t limited or afraid to do anything but express himself freely
Yeah Jagger is a testament that enough confidence will make you win anything
I love the Rolling Stones. I saw them in the seventies four times. I love how Mick Jagger moves. I especially like this song by them. They have many great songs. Thank you for all the great memories.
I always gravitated towards zeppelin growing up. But my appreciation for the Stones keeps gathering steam as I get older. I'm really not sure why but the Rolling Stones truly are phenomenal. I'm 60.
What abt deep purple?
Lol same I’m finding that also. Now in my mid 50s gravitating to their songs more then ever. Maybe some of it is nostalgia but after looking at some of these videos, they are awesome. Now I finally see what the attraction is in Mick Jagger from these two videos when he was younger.
@@dazzlingpumppouches totally. They used to say it was a rivalry between the Beatles and Stones but growing up in the 70s it was more Stones versus Zeppelin. Of course it wasn't really a rivalry at all just some of my group loved one or the other. But all three groups totally rock. Its interesting because Britain was about the great bands. The United States was more about the individual stars like Elvis, Chuck Berry, later Michael Jackson, Madonna etc...but I just love music in any form.
I’m thirty and these old songs are hitting different as I get older lol
@@frankonabigon2974 congrats on being 30..lol.....I remember when....yes these classic British bands just were and still are amazing.

Mick´s energy is out of this world...they are THE BEST! Simply THE BEST!
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
You can’t always git what you want , magic pronunciation, how did he think that one up , pure genius 🎉
Seeing John Lennon in the audience was weirdly surreal
I think Stephen Hawking was there too.
Fun Lennon communist POS!
It was! He was just one of the audience members jamming
@@sentme4774 communism is a lot shitter then capitalism
Jon Arcuckle Why, man? Lennon was a fan of The Stones. He spend so many nights in Keith's toilet in the 60's that they knew him well. He also performed at this show with his Chinese wife.
4:24 Lennon and Yoko in the audience 🤯🤯
Yes, John later sang yer blues on stage
Mick Jagger is such a mood.
Mick telling the fangirls "you can't always get the man that you want" right in their face was cruel af tbh
I think they were to excited to care!! 😂😂
She probably cummmed right in her pants still
Really I don’t find it cruel. It’s true no matter who you are you can’t always get who you want and it was just fun.

This is a clip straight out of the live action movie
There's a deep, important meaning to this song when it comes to finding your partner, and in a relationship
Watching this made me wish Nicky Hopkins was on the studio version.
Keith is my favorite; such a cool guy, musician. Total package🎸❤️

The quality!!!!! The colors!!!!!!! It doesn’t get any more 70s than this 🌼🌺🎀
I love how raw and unpredictable this music is. Everything now is so produced and choreographed. This stuff is grass roots earth music that comes from the soul.
I love the layered sound of 60s ad 70s music. "Sympathy for the Devil" is a classic example of details being layered on as the song progresses.
The way Mick Jagger dances is like a homeless person telling everyone that the world is about to end.
