- I used my finds from the salvage yard to create a nice back fence corner with the iron seed packers. It’s such a neat feature and looks great on the mountain.
For now the project will be on hold and we will probably come back to it next year. We will need around $1000 to really finish it with the continuous fencing that we want to get in the future.
Mark got lucky.....his lady was frisky as heck...❤
Great job repurposing those spike-wheels, they look really good. I like to see old stuff given a new purpose. It soothes my soul. Mark has crazy skills and I am beginning to believe that there is nothing he cannot do. Respect.
Maple Ranch Sculptures by Mark 😎
Those cogs were the icening on the cake .perfectly finished .
Love to hear you loving and affirming each other.
❤❤❤it. Need to do the other side if you can find more disks or something like it. Making Ranch Art that by it self could be sold to some city to beautify the urban landscape. Maybe add a hanging tab/hook to the fence to hang it too then easily add the panels. Just an idea. Also you’re now the 3rd YT farm/ranch/homestead that’s been using metal pipe for posts.
Steam punk fencing ..awesome
Great job building the fence Mark and Ola
I LOVE your "gear" fence, it looks soooo awesome. Keep putting out the videos. I always look forward to them :)
Wow Mark the disks welded together look really smart. Great job. Peace.
Keep doing what you love
Olla ist die Beste vor ever.
Mark, I am always impressed with your ability to anything that comes up. You have a great work ethic and ability. Your creativity is amazing. I enjoy your videos very much.
Worth the wait to see how you used the seed wheels. It looks so artistic. Nicely done creating a treasure from scrap.
I really like your creativity and practical use of the planter wheels.
Thank you very much!
The greening of your mountain looks beautiful and the part of the wheel fence looks awesome nice job

It does look cool. You're an artist to boot. I'll bet that was a lot of fun for you.
That is one cool-looking fence section. Awesome job!
Living on a side hill sure adds a lot of "hold my beer and watch this" experiences. Master operator!
Its cool to see how the two of you work together

gear fence looks awesome
Absolutely LOVE the gears welded into fence art!
The two of you are so refreshing to listen to how you interact, the fence bracing looks so cool. Your own touch.
Agree !!!
Really nice way to manage that hillside Mark. My dad was a welder and I grew up watching him create lots of creative ironworks for our home and others. 👍😊🇨🇦
I love the way you and your wife interact with each other, it brings back a lot of memories. I also think your fence in the cast-iron is a fantastic idea and it looks great. And I hear you about welding cast! Great job.😊
Subscribers are scared when Mark blows up and down those hills.
Thanks for the video you two hard workers.
Very cool looking. Love it
Was this work of art inspired by Ola from way back when she was painting the stairs the shed? 🤔 I seem to recall Ola saying something along the lines of “I can hear the gears grinding in my head…” 😂😜 lol
It sure makes it easy when you can say (down the track), go to the ’GearPaddock’,etc.
Unique, classic and definitely something different, yet thoughtful and creative. Way to go Guys! 💫❤️💫🇦🇺✌🏻
Good morning
Love the gears in the fence! It really looks awesome!

Nice quality job Mark l
Fence looks AWESOME! Good job u2!.... Ilike the repurposing of gears or any metal!
I thought I witnessed all of your talents building the shop but no you continue to demonstrate additional skills, looks great.... Add a few gears to the otherside by the gas tank...?
Nice ,creative artsy fence build! Close all open pipe ends to keep hornets/wasps out...!
Your land is really straight down!! So steep!! But beautiful!!
Nice video folks doing a fine job on the fence cheers stay safe ❤️🙏👍
Good job , I like it .
Gear Gate Looks Good! I really like the design and Wholeheartedly Approve!
it looks great
Looks awesome
That looks so cool 🥰
Yoh had some really great music on this one. I love it when whar's to hand meets creativity and magic happens. I love that gear fence panel. Just fyi, "gear" in Liverpool.slang from the 1960's meant "cool." So you have a really cool thing going there.
Awesome 👍
Good morning!
🌹🌹🌹
So much accomplished even more to go
Youins do a lot of creative projects. It is time to subscribe.
Thank you, tell a friend. Haha :)
❤your art looks good. Difficult fencing on the slope and putting posts into fill. Regardless, your fence looks good too🙏🙂
👍
Scrap de luxe...with a cherry tree on top , PLEASE...
Looks cool. Just needs a coat of black Rustoleum.
🖐😎👍
Hi would like to say hello again from the north east of Ireland I miss you videos for the past few months I thought you had stopped doing them only to discover I was unsubscribed so I am catching up on your videos and I’m looking forward to your new channel once again sorry for not checking I was subscribed ❤❤❤
We have contacted UA-cam for the last two weeks cause you are not the first one to say that. So sorry. Thank you so much
How to make homesteading/ranching more fun? Just follow your lead... A regular entrance for cows would have worked but wouldn't have made you smile every time you're back of the shop. Do you paint to stop the rusting? Or... Do you cap off the hollow poles to keep moist out? Or will the top rail take care of that...
Im unsure yet if I want to paint them, I do really like the rusted look but will decide down the road. The post tops will get a top rail which will cap them off.
Buck up Ola, Mexico got 2 feet of hail in 90 degree temperatures
those post go in with a finger lol
At my house I have a special complaint form that's on a roll in the bathroom
Are you going to reshape the hill between the gate and the shed to meld in with the other uphill sloping alongside the shed.
Yes, the hillside is going to get reshaped along the shop side and it will get reshaped inside the pasture when I go in there to widen the road and pull out the deadfall firewood.
Are you going to Cap the tops of the Fence post to keep water from going into pipe n rotting it out from the inside so it don't break in half
They will get capped with a top rail to seal them off.
Warum machst du dir kein Rohr mit 4 beweglichen Haken daran, um den Zaun zu straffen? Mit dem Traktor.
Heat and AC😂
I’m keep checking my subscription to you guys and UA-cam keep unsubscribe me and both channel you guys better keep eye on that
We have had several followers comment that same problem and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it on our end. We contacted UA-cam and they said they audit subs to remove “bots” and that is as much as they tell us. Thank you for “re-“subscribing.
I do not understand ,work is not to be fun. I do not think you two know like the gate you picked out.. I diffidentlyy like the gear idea to finish that side of the fence. 😂👍👌❤️😢
how did the cast iron weld? did you need to heat it up first?
I did not preheat them but luckily it was a hot sunny day and that helped quite a bit. I did have to go back over a couple spots where the weld cracked as it cooled but ultimately is went together well. It makes a huge difference using the high % nickel welding rod.
only thing i can do with gloves on is p my pants
