I am all for it. Especially since Jugg was the first album that I got by the band. I had heard Make Total Destroy, but never got into them till Jugg released and then I was instantly in love. I am so happy to hear the call backs to some of my favorite songs.

Juggernaut is one of the best concept album what is ever written and their debut album was mind blowing, which literally changed the whole industry. Now their new material (since their last album) has been something what 16 year old kids would like to do. Just angry without any depth in it. Periphery is taking the easy way out just to satisfy the casual listeners.

They are honestly in my opinion the best modern metal band to exist. Not only are they honest musicians and phenomenal songwriters, it's more than just the music. They have their own label, They have their own brands of gear, Etc. They just have a big involvement in the community of music.

I just started getting into Periphery again a few weeks ago and have been listening to P3 back to back nonstop, incredibly excited that they’re dropping some new stuff and it sounds like it’s going to absolutely crush.
Periphery has always done whatever they want, but they always keep the djent somewhere, I love their style and again, going from aggressive to cheerful and back to aggressive is something I love from them, also the random jazz bits, love them too!

I see too many bands taking themselves super super seriously (Which yes there is a place for it) but man when you have a group of guys who write awesome music and have some left turn elements that catch you off guard, it just rules, and as you say Nik, its fun, something some bands kind of forget about. First off, anyone know who plays the sax part - Jørgen Munkeby? Second, that chorus catch is vibiest of vibes I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. Those dissonances and resolves are orgasmic! I also absolutely love Periphery for building and stacking musical melodic themes throughout the albums and at the end the are fully built and resolved, its like a reward lol. And to hear them bring back elements from albums prior, guys... these boys hear nothing short of geniuses. I havent been hyped for a metal type album in a long time, but this has my excitement level up over 100. Fucking awesome!
