I'm waiting on Winter Soldier in 4K which is probably the 2nd best Marvel movie behind Infinity War.
Thor Ragnarok is much better than both
I think I've watched Infinity War one too many times. The last go round the CGI was looking pretty fake in some spots. I think I like WInter Soldier better, best Marvel movie in my book.
@@nick4810 Thor Ragnarok is probably third or 4th after the two previous entries were duds my opinion. The Winter Soldier had better pacing and better acting as Chris, Mark, Jeff, and Teresa delivered most of their lines like they were holding their laughs. Even Cate looked like she wanted to flatout start laughing during half of her scenes. But with that said the action was good in Thor Ragnarok.
@@dickfantastic7908 Infinity Wars is probably my 2nd most watched movie in the last 18 month's with Ready Player being 1st, Bladerunner 2049 is third. Every time I've watched Infinity Wars it's just as good as the last time. I mean Thanos was so damn believable I expected to see him walk down the red carpet. The Winter Soldier on the otherhand has flat exhilarating hand to hand combat and in close quarters. You also got the big screen explosions, highway shootouts, arieal combat, traitors, and double agents. It's one movie I will buy again in 4K when available.
@Colin Iron 2 is good, one like so many of the other movies is the introduction. Iron Man 3 was stupid as hell with fire breathing Guy Pierce almost made me laugh. Iron Man 2 is the only Iron Man movie I've purchased, and yeah it's top ten but certainly not top 5 in the Marvel universe.
Me to I have the 3d and regular Blu-ray , will be sticking with those .
I'm expecting Winter Solider and Civil War to get the same treatment sadly but because they're coming out on steelbook eventually, I'm getting them. Captain America movies are my favorite Marvel films next to the first Avenger movie. I mainly got this for the steelbook and it's beautiful.

I decided to upgrade simply cause my Captain America was a DVD i had all the way back when blockbuster was still around.
Just to let you know all the IMAX versions are going to be on Disney+

I’m wondering if the transfer had to do with the fact that it was the first Digital Hi Def film Marvel did and they used the Panavision Genesis system. Some shots look to “video” if you know what I mean.
Thanks for the review Shane. This was marvels second 3D movie after Thor and is still a great disc, so this was going to be something really special for me to take a second dip on the movie..Looks like I'm saving my cash another movie.
Wow...I couldn't disagree more with this review. I think the HDR ALONE is worth the upgrade...looks like a whole new movie to me in HDR...way more clear and brighter thank the 1080P Blu-ray. To each their own.....

The video issues you’ve been mentioning in this video is probably due to the way it was shot. Since its in WWII, I wasn’t expecting it to be crisp and colorful. I remember this 4K release is closest to how I remember it seeing in theaters.
Shane how was the dialogue volume? On the blu ray I could barely hear the voices. (Had to turn way up) I would get this if dialogue is improved. Thanks.

I just streamed the vudu Captain America in Dolby Vision on my lg oled via Apple TV 4k. Looked damn good to me.
I noticed when I press info on my Yamaha receiver while playing all my dolby atmos blurays the dialogue is increased to +4db automatically. But with the Disney 4k blu rays the dialogue is set to 0db when I press info. There's a clear difference in volume. Wonder why Disney does this
Hyped to order my Winter Soldier and Civil War 4K Steelbook comes out the same week Endgame comes out I believe. Also question, I'm getting a Dolby Vision TV and want to get a 4k player, Do I have to get a Dolby Vision Player TOO just to watch Dolby Vision movies or am I good with just a regular 4k player?
What do you think about 3d Blu-ray movies on the PlayStation VR??
I thought this one was great, and 4K HDR worthy, but I don’t have the Blu Ray to compare it to. I did however, watch The Winter Soldier and Civil War Blu-ray’s immediately after; I know what you mean.
I have the 3d version even though I don't have 3d equipment maybe someday I'll get the PS4 vr so I can watch

@@Bonze661 they work pretty well on psvr. You need a comfortable pair of ear buds and a good seat/position.

Dammit I haven’t seen any other 4K reviews. I can’t believe disney/marvel movies still suffer from the poor audio problem. Funny the marvel title screen when you load the disc has fantastic sound! Then the movie just mutes... and hides for 2 hours. Ugh
Even with HDR, which wasn't all that impressive, this wasn't worth the upgrade from blu-ray.
I'll wait for the reviews for the sequels, before I upgrade the rest.

I thought skinny steve was a real person with chris(the actor)'s head copy pasted on top of the random skinny actors body.
4K is pointless for movies that aren’t filmed in 4K or greater (35mm/70mm)
Shane the reason is simple! The first CA (Paramount back then!) was shot only in 1080p FULL HD resolution like SW Episode II +III

dont you have to actually film in 4k format to call a movie 4k??....most 4k movies are upscaled 2k (bluray).....are we being conned here?...
