Awkward is an understatement. Dave admitted that, even though Megadeth had its most comercially successful album with CTE, he could never accept that Metallica kept eclipsing & outdoing Megadeth (ie, The Black album was more successful than CTE). There were other factors that contributed to Dave's awkwardness here, such as a big bust-up with Menza immediately before taking to the stage, their PA system was faulty throughout the entire concert, Dave was still battling with addiction & missing his wife & kid, and plus having his ex-band playing right in his ear just made for a very bad and unlucky day for Dave. @@jorozco13yearsago40 Yeah sometimes I think the only reason he formed Megadeth was to get back at Metallica honestly and nothing more than that. But only he knows why he created the band so I'm not going to act like I can read Dave's mind.
Awwww Dave.... 🥺
Ok, now imagine that, but instead of creeping death in the back Ride the lightning crashing in
More like The Four Horseman
Poor Dave Jr. he just can't catch a break, he just had to live with people calling him "Junior" as a grown man besides had to do all the heavy lifting when the interview when sour for Dave when Metallica started playing.
6:42 "LET'S GO MOTHERFUCKERS"
~James Hetfield
actually "fuck yea motherfuckers!!!"
This material is pure gold, i swear. Dave's expressions while metallica started playing lmao
Its sad, not that funny. I'm glad Dave is good now and wants to work with Hetfield on some new material. I'm guessing Dave is gonna feature on Metallica's new album because he's been bringing the idea up.
He sounds like Mr. Van Drieson from Beavis and Butt-Head in this video.
This was so fucking hard to watch. I am so sad for him holy shit what a fucked up time to interview
7.10 Creeping death playing on stage, maybe thats why Dave number 1's got the hump!!!
I feel for Dave here. He had been through some extremely rough patches up until this point, battling massive mental health and substance abuse issues. Heck, months prior to this show he was literally pronounced DEAD after overdosing from Valium. I can't imagine how hard it must've been for him to witness Metallica at its peak after so many years of hardships, struggles and unresolved pain
Dave's jumper is hilarious and those trousers wtf 😅😅😅 u feel the ora change when ecstasy of gold kicks in
I'm happy and surprised that they mentioned the "Nine Inch Nails" remix of "Symphony of Destruction". I would have liked to hear Dave Mustaine himself, comment on it? All the Nine Inch Nails remixes are badass!
It sure was an uncomfortable watch.
Poor Dave he just can't catch a break, as soon as Ecstasy of Gold started the playing the whole mood of the interview changed and then he got asked if he would be playing on-stage with Metallica lol.
Do you think the interview's timing has been done on purpose ? I mean, interviewing Dave Mustaine at the moment Metallica started playing on stage is kinda awkward ...
a3sacri yes
Definitely...
a3sacri yeah. You can see how tough it is on him.
@@eva-vs1zu So hard watching him being so tormented because this. I also like Met' but Dave have absolutely nothing to envy them, he owns both of Kirk and James on guitars and he has released more material over the years (unlike them). I wish I was here at that time to tell him fuck these guys, you're the real deal. Met' lost a lot of their fans by becoming a joke but 'Deth are sill kickin' asses.
a3sacri I prefer Metallica but whatever
Dave entered to trauma room when Ectasy of Gold started playing
07:00 dave: kill me please 🙏 😭
