    Love this setup. Reminds me of Optimum Tech.
    How do you deal with monitor distance? I find that whenever I play FPS games I tend to lean in, but I also don’t like pulling my monitor forward and creating a habit of bad posture.

    • @peanutarchives
      @peanutarchives  11 місяців тому +7

      I'm heavily inspired by optimum tech :)
      When playing competitive, I would always pull my monitor about halfway through the desk, I do my best to sit up straight and keep a good posture when gaming. If you know fishychair, I would always remind myself to sit like him.

    Love the setup, very much like Optimum Tech in how you built it and shot the video! Competitive layout was my favorite, also Apex Legends is my favorite game.
    If I could make a recommendation it would be to raise the audio on your voice in the video a little bit.

    Great camera work, would recommend adjusting bass levels as the lower part of your voice drowned out the mids/highs and it was hard to understand what was being said.

    Try applying a low end roll off or shelf to your audio. Your voice sounds “normal” but as if a subwoofer is doubling the octaves below lmao

    Nice setup, cozy and simple but i didn't understand the point to have a dual peripheral usage, like, you switch your peripheral every time you play and when your not ?
    Sorry for that but i found that a little bit stupid because you waste your time and it's not that practical.

    • @peanutarchives
      @peanutarchives  9 місяців тому

      You'd be surprised how often the mouse/aim community switches their setups, they switch to different mouse and mouse pad combos anytime they feel like it, nothing really stays permanent in my desk as I continue to review and test different peripherals. I'm not sure about the keyboard community, but I assume they switch up their keyboards from time to time. It's not practical yes, really inconvenient IMO, I do hate switching stuff up for different tasks, but someday I'd like to have 2 different desk setups, one for content: editing, researching, writing, etc., and another one for gaming and testing peripherals. The idea of that was inspired by Badseed Tech's studio. That way I don't really need to switch up my one setup from productivity to gaming, and vice versa. I'm just too broke rn to afford that.

    Hey I noticed that your desk also has a metal frame around the sides and the monitor arm just clamps to that instead of directly on the wooden desk part. My desk is similar with that metal frame and I was worried the monitor arm won't attach securely. How has it been for you? Is it solid enough even when moving your monitors?

    • @peanutarchives
      @peanutarchives  10 місяців тому

      That's what I didn't like about this desk haha, the metal frame is in the way if you have to clamp something into the desk. As for me, I just made sure to secure it and tighten it to the point that the clamp wouldn't move if I moved my monitors. Just make sure to get a monitor arm with the clearance, the boom arm that I have here is holding to its dear life because it's clamped into the wood and not really secured.

    • @reyhanpradantyo
      @reyhanpradantyo 10 місяців тому

      I have a monitor arm on its way from amazon at the moment and hopefully it won't have any issues gripping the metal part! I also have the same dual monitor setup too so I really need something sturdy lol @@peanutarchives

      I also noticed that my voice had too much base in this video, I'll tone that down next time. But I think the audio level is decent, I edited this with the IEMs in the video and I can tell you that my ears are already bleeding at default level so I had to put my VO in -8dB. MOBO - Gigabyte A520M DS3H
      RAM - Crucial Ballistix 16Gb
      Components were bought around December 2021 except for the GPU. The CPU I was using before was the R5 PRO 4650G for the integrated graphics and was replaced/upgraded with the 5600X just a month ago. GPU was bought around Oct 2022 for the upgrade. Prices have probably dropped for these parts, so make sure to do market research on online shops.
