    As a beginner, not a a pro. But my Cardiologist recommended that I start drinking wines particularly Reds. He was from Spain. After 25 years of my heart attack I finally did. Also had a 4 way bypass. I do wish I had taken the advice years ago. These are in the Bible. When you research the vitamins and all the goodness of the process of wines are so very good for you. Wish I had listened a long time ago. I think I was more shamed into Not drinking wines. Learning the hard way😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

      Yep, This is what the Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy:
      .
      1 Timothy 5:23
      Do not drink water any longer, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent cases of sickness.
      .

    Nebbiolo! The violet and rose petal nose and fruity flavors of a mature Barolo are wonderful. I am drinking up my 97s, as they are fully mature now. And don't forget Sangiovese (as in Chianti and Brunello). Actually, most of my wines are French, not Italian, being a lover of Bordeaux and Burgundy.

    loving the red wine experience, Really when I very started thought it was merlot, like Others, were I fell most and fully in love with Pirot Noir, still today. Then really getting experience, Carenet savignon, now one of my favs. I love experience wineries to see where my level of beastie and experience has leveled. The art of wine and history, beauty each winery has to display excites me. This is what the art of wine is?? just like art? what do you have to pare with it. All I can express is beauty.
    Thank you

      I very much relate to what you said above! Wine is art and wine is a journey, and it's a fun journey for sure! I started off loving Pinot Noir the most, thought that it was the best of reds. Since then my taste has evolved and I definitely gravitate towards fuller-bodied reds like Cabs and Malbecs. Who knows, maybe one day it will change again! Enjoy!

    Hi I live in the NE of Scotland ie Peterhead a fishing town on the East Coast.It’s quite cool here so I prefer slightly more robust reds,Syrah ,Cabornay’s ,Durif which tends to come from Australia and is also used in blends also Rioja, Primitevo and many different blends.For me also my mood dictates what I drink also the temperature, when I’m in warmer climates I tend to drink white wine which I love also so many different verities,I prefer a Sauvignon Blanc or a Chenin Blanc,I’m more of a dry win lover from New Zealand or Chile,but hay there are so many wines and regions to choose from. I’m starting to drink more Italian wines also,i like your Napa valley wines,but don’t get too many of those here in the UK The world of wine is enormous and it’s a great journey of discovery?Love your channel keep up the good work 👍

    Hi. You said in the vidio that Pinot Noir combine with chicken and fish. I toltaly agree! So... Here in the hotel must of customer prefer withe wine with those plates. There are another way to convince them?

    • @MyWineDiary
      @MyWineDiary  День тому

      That's a great question! I first and foremost want to emphasize that if the customer REALLY loves their chicken and fish with white wines- let them enjoy it without trying to convince them otherwise.
      However, it's great to encourage them to experiment with red wines for poultry and fish as well. We don't want a bold red wine to overpower those dishes, so stay away from suggesting Cabs & Malbec, etc.
      Instead- suggest for them to try chicken and fish with lither red wines like Beaujolais Nouveau, Grenache or Pinot Noir, and on top of that- serve it slightly chilled.
      If your restaurant serves those wines by glass, offer them a little taster before they make a commitment.
      And lastly, explore some fun options like Lambrusco! Good luck!

    I think my taste works, pretty much, as you described your own. I am blessed to live in a state that experiences all four very distinct seasons, and temperature does play into my choices, though, not rigidly. I have always been a very light drinker, sometimes having gone months without any at all, so my wine journey is at a virtual snail's pace, compared to most, but when I do partake, I thoroughly enjoy and savor it! I tend to favor the lighter red varieties, too. I have been toying with the idea of trying a malbec, again, but I have been kind of leary of them, since I had a bad experience with some that went off, or bad, a few years ago, with a friend, that had some bottles that been exposed to improper storage temperatures, that were far too warm. If you have ever experienced it, then you know. The only thing that tastes as bad, if not worse, is loose leaf tea, that has been exposed to the same heat treatment. Those are terrible tastes that linger in your nightmares! 😜 I think it is time to put that nightmare to rest with a good malbec, or maybe a shiraz, this time, once I find one. Any suggestions for one?

    • @MyWineDiary
      @MyWineDiary  Рік тому

      Thank you so much for sharing! Sorry to hear that you had a bed experience with Malbec; I certainly imagine how bad that lingering taste is! Definitely recommend for you to re-explore those. Argentina's Malbecs are inexpensive. As far as Shiraz goes, try Australian ones for more jammy and spicy flavors & French Syrah for a lighter, yet still incredibly delicious taste! Good luck and enjoy!

    Dear Madam, you must urgently start planning your trip to Italy. It is a crime not to include even one of their wines in your list.

    I would throw out Cabernet Sauvignon - throw in Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Grenache. Especially I don‘t like 100 percen Cabernet Sauvignon, blends are way better!

      I would imagine anything with lower levels of residual sugars, BUT make sure to consult about wine consumption with your doctor first!
