While I find a lot of wine words like the German and Italian are pretty straightforward, the French words can be a bit trickier to pronounce if you don't speak French. Nice to have a Frenchmen properly demonstrate the correct pronunciation - really learned a lot from your channel! Salut, Julien :)

Love all these vids. However, as a native German speaker, I can tell you that Riesling is pronounced "Rees-ling" with an elongated eeeee sound. Not "riss-ling" as done in this video.

I drink it cold, from the fridge. It gets sweet like a juice, with less of an aftertaste. And I drink it like a juice, after a good meal. Cheers!

Speaking from the family Vineyard heir-apparent's perspective, that's just because their mother tongue doesn't allow them to go all the way pitched as we can like, so they go *"RAIS-LING"* instead of *RIESLING* .

Hi Yvonne, it's a wine glass by the brand "Spiegelau", the model is "Novo Burgundy Red" but I think they don't make it anymore so you might struggle to find it, as alternatives, you might want to look into other Burgundy glasses by Spiegelau, the "Definition" series or the 'Willsbeger' series. Hope this helps :)

Agreed! Not only that but he mispronounced it twice, and in two different ways. 'Riss-ling' and 'Ress-ling'.
We really don't say "blank" in the UK. It's blanc, surely?! At least, when were taught French in school, we never pronounced blanc as blank and would be corrected by the teacher. Ressling too doesn't sound correct either. But everything else does. Happy drinking!
