SUPAH: The most hated BUT honest to god Arknights youtuber. Suprised to see a positive video, specially about alters. And it's a summer event, you never have to take seriously a summer event
Honestly I can't really call this event a "tone killer" - it still has a bit of the usual Arknights sadness & geopolitics, and for all his goofiness, Dolly somehow fits in with the cozy, emotionally healing vibe of this event; this event's tone is mentally chill Also the tone of this game was dead the day they introduced Emperor
@@zifer123bruh the "Misty Memory" lyrics are so damn sad, the "should've taken home more than a bittersweet memory" crushes my heart as it is Eyja returning after learning about her parents and how much they loved her😢
I feel that even whacky characters like Emperor don’t really detract from the tone that much. Not everything in life is serious, and just a casual look at the news and social media shows that utterly insane and goofy shit happens on the daily. Having something lighthearted such as Emperor and the PL crew in general help Terra feel like an actual world. Just like how one person could be having the best day ever while another one is utterly despondent, or how one area of the world can be just fine while another is in utter chaos, Terra like our own world is a place of variation and extremes.
Yeah I thought this event was going to feel silly but Dolly ended up being such a fantastic character and concept. I actually felt a little choked up when you realise two of the sheep are representations of her parents. And sure emperor can be silly, but the shot of him turning up in il siracusano will always be the most arknights of all time and honestly it goes hard as fuck. Generally speaking I appreciate that the writers don't feel tied to making one type of story with a particular look and feel
The whole event and it's bgm.. from the simple background music of story dialogue(Adele's dream still hits hard.. LIKE A BROKEN ONE HIT HARD I GAVE IT ALL-) to the boss music(Sheepnado decimates nomadic city)
I personally think Alters are good for one big reason: it keeps a character relevant in terms of story and gameplay. A player can only remember so many characters, this is especially true when it comes to gachas where multiple characters are released in a monthly basis. Alters help the players keep up to date with the present, ever-evolving story of a character and seeing visible changes related to said story without having to actually change their past details, of which players can get really attached to. The fact that this helps characters stay relevant also helps in fleshing out the world-building and lore of the story. As for how I think alters help characters stay relevant in terms of gameplay, it's a bit of a cheesy technicality. If an older character gets power-crept by newer characters, an alter with the same impact as new characters can be made for the older character. Yeah, it's a bit lazy in terms of power-balancing, but it somehow just makes sense to me, you know? A great example would be Siege, the most power-crept 6* to have ever existed. I think introducing an alter of her would be pretty nice, an alter related to the Sigh of Kings she got. Let her gameplay tie-in with her present story or something, that's cool. Well, that's my take on alters. But yeah, this expectation on Alters is pretty unrealistic in other games that isn't Arknights or something
alters as an idea are never argued to be bad. it's alters for already relevant and popular character that feels like a cheap cashgrab. Would you really put reed alter and eyja alter in the same boat?
@@thatalbeeguy I don't mind if an already popular or relevant character gets an alter tbh. As long as they had major character developments and they aren't too new. But yeah I see your point, swimsuit alters are pretty lame
@@thatalbeeguy That argument would be valid if they constantly made alters for the most popular characters but they usually don’t, so I don’t see how it can be viewed as a cash grab. Obviously every once in a while they will make an alter for a popular character/6 star, and I think there’s nothing inherently wrong with that. In this case they even made an alter for a pretty unpopular character at the same time.
the problem with alters comes more from a why did you made a 6* another 6* and not a lower rarity operator evolving and becoming more powerful, imagine if instead of repeating 6* you got lappland alter, gummy alter or some other beloved character that you barely use because their niche and rarity is low imagine zima indra melantha dobermann, the point is putting some old ops on the meta not already meta ops in the meta again imagine if insteaf of eyja this was a gummy event with the same theme with bears and she got the same healer kit, she was already a healer tank, we went from a caster to a healer
I’d argue thatthe event being goofy isnt tone killing, its just a refresher from all the serious depresso we ve been feed. There are still some serious issues discussed in the event aside from The wacky antics of dolly and the bunch. IMO this was the best summer event so far despite the overtuned eyja
Yeah. Everything being super serious 100% would actually kill the realism of the world. Not everything in life is dark and serious, so goofy events like this one help balance things out. Besides, an immortal penguin rapper was among the earlier characters introduced in the game. And it’s an actual lore point that Doctor boils instant ramen directly in their mouth. Goofiness is just as much Arknights as seriousness.
So in Arknights, you get an Alter if you wear a swimsuit, hold water gun, wield double sword, and wear your dead parent's coat? At this point, I believe the whole Arknights community will be more hyped if Frostleaf get a 6 star Alter. She literally deserves it; gameplay and storywise! I'll be waiting for that for sure.
I mean Swire deserved it gameplay and story wise too lmao. she was made out to be a pretty skilled and powerful fighter in the story and 5* swire is dogshit
While I appreciate this video and his now nuanced take on Alters, I feel like this is just the calm before the storm. 2024 SUPAH's gonna be hatin' like no one's ever hated before. And I'm here to enjoy the ride.
One of the biggest problems for me is that they just stuck Swire in the middle of the event and made the event take place in Siesta just so they can say it's a summer event because everything involving Siesta and Swire is IRRELEVANT TO THE STORY! You can remove everything involving Swire and make the story take place anywhere else and it doesn't change ANYTHING about Eyja's story, and that irritates me since I honestly enjoyed her story but 50% of the event is filler that is only there for take up space and justify another random Alter
Well Adele's parents did show Siesta's volcano to her AND Adele did call out the Volcano's eruption during the Obsidian Festival, so the location at least makes sense. Other than that i 100% agree. Swire and Bison's stuff shouldve been a mini-event or OP record, and don't get me started on Poncirus lol.
Excuse did you play the same event it took place in siesta(or specifically 'old siesta')which lemme remind you has an active volcano and ejya is an volcanologist also it is where her parents and Keller met. So she has a large number of connections with the place. I daresay no other location would have worked
I've always thought that Alters made sense. If you want to make an existing operator the main character of the event (especially if it progresses their story), what are you gonna do, just rerun that operator? Everyone who already has the operator wont be rolling. Not very profitable; you cant even retroactively turn them into a limited operator or increase their rarity. So naturally if you want events where an existing character stars in, you'll make a second version. Granted, I dont think theres enough character development to justify alters most of the time, but I blame it on Arknights's writing just generally not being consistently good
Yeah, I read Break the Ice and Dossoles Holiday one right after another, the quality diff is bizarre. It's just like DH was written by the company's interns to see if they were capable of writing a minimally consistent story and see if they could move up in position. In other hand, BtI is great, everyone has at least more than one personality trait and a good level of dimension, even though having different screen times.
As someone who only got into the game in the last six months, this video has done a good job of voicing the disconnect between past and present Arknights, and how it's not necessarily a bad thing.
@14:06 "Embrace the Goofy" Idk man, i prefer to embrace Nearl or Gummy instead. I don't want ah-hyuck PTSDs anymore... On a serious note, that mindset is probably the most healthy mindset you can take, specially with gachas. AK has its share of problems, but they don't hurt the experience, and i'm all here for it. Loved this event, the vibes, the story, and my heart aches for Eyja everytime.
As someone who has played both Blue Archive and Arknights. I always found it hilarious how different the Arknights community’s reaction was to Summer Ch’en, a busted limited swimsuit alter of a popular character. And the Blue Archive community’s reaction to Summer Hoshino, a busted limited swimsuit alter of a popular character.
The limited op alter spam is breaking many bank accounts and hearts. I rolled 300 to spark because I was on hiatus when Ch’alter and Gavi’alter came out, so I was going for one of them… and ended up with all the things through 300 rolls. Seriously, I scored 14x 6* over 300 pulls (one being the spark for Gavi’alter.) This was likely all my luck for the next year.
If it makes you feel better, I sparked chalter on Gavials banner last year, but luckily I was able to get both 6 stars this time in less than 100 pulls.
While people spending money is the entire reason why Arknights is still around, I kind of don’t feel sorry for people who dump a bunch of money on the game. That’s lack of impulse control on their part. Like, I love it. It has its flaws but it’s honestly one of the best-developed fictional worlds I’ve ever seen. But at the end of the day, it’s just a game. Am I disappointed if I try the banners only to not get what I want? Yeah. But only disappointed. There are other things in life I enjoy so not getting a certain character from a digital gachapon machine isn’t going to be the end of the world. And even if a character is super OP, you can still play the game without them. Arknights is a game that rewards clever thinking and is designed to be largely doable with whatever operators you currently have.
alters are actually good because it means HG can focus on developing their already pre-existing characters instead of creating more characters and not developing already existing characters.
As if there was a major character development. Just because they overcame a hurdle doesn't mean an alter is on the way. Reed is a good example of 6 star alter done right. Her expression from her 5 star compared to her 6 star on E2 is already a story in itself.
I think the biggest difference between Chalter and Eyja Alter in terms of balance is that Chalter removes the relevance of other damage dealers, which is a problem, while Eyja removes a mechanic that almost nobody misses.
She powercreeps every single medic in terms of raw healing, aoe casters in terms of multi-target healing, and especially she powercreeps Lumen since not only his high afk hps was a big part of his value, but stuns lately mostly just come from nervous impairment and she just deletes that.
@@Andrew99994 and what about that invalidates anything of what I said? Eyja's a wandering medic, by all metrics she should have lower hps than other medics, but she's a limited wich means she has to disregard and shit all over the fundamental balance of her class to be marketable.
@@obsiangravel But when i need defense, i'll choose Shining. When i need res, i'll choose NG, and when i need awkward healing position, i'll choose Ptilo. So i don't understand why Adele powercreeping raw healing is such a big issue. This is not Chen's case when she powercrept every single DPS operator possible.
@@velvetra29 When was the last time you needed a medic? I don't mean choosing to bring one, I actively mean, NEEDED, a medic. Shining comes out every millenia to help Hoshiguma/Cuora/Nian facetank some 103432 level CC boss, and Nightingale carries that one HX level. Elemental Damage, or rather the culmination of it, Status Effect was one of the very few reasons left to ever actually use a medic. On the very off-chance you need a medic, Eyja's probably the answer. (Not to mention she clears a tile for use by another DP by virtue of healing from a whole plane landing strip away.)
Honestly making the event called "so long Adele" and NOT killing Eyja in it is probably the biggest missed opportunity for me. Like, that would automatically justify the alter and be honest, it ain't like you're gonna do much with her after this.
Honestly, I enjoyed the tonal shift to this event and below the surface it still has some rather Arknights undertones with what the sheep are. Levity is good. It barely feels like a summer event (partly the fault of the cold snap the ushered the event in on Global), it's half a summer event and half about Eyja's self discovery. She's not in a swimsuit but her parent's old protective gear. When every other arc is looming war or annihilation, being able to just party is a good thing. Also every single bit of event music flipping bops, they killed it again.
This pretty much encapsulates my opinions. I understand SUPAH's points, but I've also really enjoyed the event so far, both in gameplay and story-wise. And this music is legit some of the best they've put out.
I love the fact that all your videos are about criticizing Arknights. Every time I ask my self "Why if Supah doesn't like a single thing he keeps playing and doing videos?" but than I realize that I'm doing the same thing by criticing you while I always watch every single video you made. This is so caotic and sweet.
As a Fate Grand Order player, I don't see a single one of the issues you set in place as an actual problem. Lol I'm numb to every single one of these issues. Well the "they're lazy" argument is still pretty strong as an argument. But otherwise I just can't support your criticisms, though I do understand them.
As a f2p who keeps coming to the game and leaving it, I don't think alters were ever an issue. Having a game where playable units recognize the passage of time by having them get new stuff/units is a common aspect of gacha games, so really I don't find the alter aspect to be weird. Being upset about their lack of "appropriate character development" for an alter seems to me a bit silly when HG at least tries to embody actual narrative development. So much more gacha games do so much less for a seasonal variant. 6*s getting a 6* alter is also not too strange imo because popular characters help make money. Chen was a major character in the main story, and Eyjafyalla has been the most powerful Core caster since year 1. Gavial The Great Chief Returns was a really sick event, and while I wasn't around for the initial run, I love the hell out of the SS and made me love Gavial, Tomimi, and Eunectes, and I'm glad that Gavial got an alter too with the Ideal City, although it sucks that she's limited and I never got to play Ideal City. Eyja not receiving anything substantial (and no, a skin is not substantial, it is a skin, not a performance package) in terms of narrative or what not for the many years she's sat on top of the Core Caster pyramid honestly makes me welcome Eyja Alter, who isn't even so much a "summer" unit as much as she is a girl wearing her dead mother's heat-protection gear coming to terms with the death of her parents. I'm an Estelle simp like Dr. Silvergun, holy shit would I love for Estelle to at minimum get a 5* alter, but I don't particularly hate other characters getting theirs. Limited is still an issue, mostly because we can only assume when a limited banner will come back and not catch players with their pants down and lacking pulls. And from what I remember hearing, this limited banner came so much earlier than it was expected to. But alters are fine in the grand scheme of things. I would fucking love an alter of Silverash and Estelle. An alter of Fang, an alter of Blaze, heck, even give a 4* alter of a 6*, I think that that would be pretty cool.
Goofy? Bruh last time i checked, in hortus de escapismo event, they literally shows us a decapitated sarkaz head(which was covered by a cloth btw) so i don't know what the hell are you talking about arknights being goofy
Yeah, it's fine having a fun and "dreamlike" event between all the other serious and depressing ones. Also, that scene really surprised me lol. Except for the mechanics, everything else in Hortus is really great
Will there be two more holiday alters next year? "On another note, there have been speculation that Blaze or Leizi might get a spring alter eventually based on Leizi operator record and Blaze's module, likely with the law sibling"
the thing about alters is, Its a new unit, I don't have to trust farm them. thats about it. when eyja dropped 6 months ago, I saw the banner and was like meh, I guess I can skip it. the mylnar showcase you link pretty sure has some elemental damage down (probably playing on easy not even surging waves) and isn't really a valid showcase. by all means go ahead and try it for yourself, see what relics are required or what surging waves. I tried it, without relics I'm pretty sure it doesn't work even on surging waves 0.
blue archive releasing summer units works bc it's an unserious and fan-servicey game most of the time arknights isn't really an unserious and fan-servicey game, it's kinda the opposite, ppl expect serious lore and storylines if arknights wants to do silly stuff without ppl criticizing, then they'll have to break off from the edgy and embrace fun
As much as i hate the typical cash grabbing summer event stuff most gacha's have, at least so far two of them have given me fun Specialist Operators to use in my Niche Knights while also being generally pretty to look at.
SUPAH brother, another pogger vid from the rizzler himself. Yeah I think the inital wave of seeing Eyja alter exist was a bit too negative but once the event hit global I really did enjoy the entire package (GG Summer Skin is peak cute) so I'm glad to be proven wrong to some extent.
I think who got alters in this event does actually make sense, but only if you look at two important factors: The time scale of moving chess pieces in this game is very, very long, and that events are not in chronological order or scale across plotlines. For example, each Sui event after Ancient Forge (which is its own bit of weirdness) is supposed to be happening over three weeks to a couple months at most, despite it being a year between events for us. This event is the progression of the dual plotlines of Dossoles Holiday and Heart of Surging Flame, which chronologically happened at the same time, six months after the end of Chapter 8. This would be the same time as Near Light and sometime before Stultifera Navis. This event is set around two years later, based on the Siestan volcano having not erupted yet and that Sire alter has two more years of experience than Swire original. Eyja's reason for becoming a medic is tied to why she got an alter: her actions in Heart of Surging Flames was directly tied to saving lives, and again in So Long Adele. It's her progression from using the prodigious arts she studied in her youth to the life saving arts she uses to save others that could have suffered the same fate as her parents. Which makes at least as much sense as why original Gavial is a medic. Also, between the her and her alter, there's been no change in her combat experience: None. She's a child Arts prodigy and living war machine, and also canonically is a noncombatant more suited for healing than mass murder. Also probably helped her get an alter that her story was directly tied to a Sovereign of Beasts, who tend to be key players in many events. Swire's reasoning is more complicated, being the tie in to Dossoles Holiday and the Main Story. Previously she was an operator under orders of the LGD, and was a member there against her fathers wishes. Even still though, she was cast in her father's shadow instead of her own light. Swire alter is her progression of both accepting the role as commissioner of the LGD and forcing her father's legacy away with her own business accomplishments. She's now an operator because she wants to help Rhodes Island, though she's business savvy enough to still charge for it, and thus is a Merchant Alter. That all being said, what you said is understandable. The weirdness of in-game timescale and the very slow roll out of these connected events makes it feel like the stories drag on forever. The interuptions of more exciting events also means people forget what arcs are in progress and the developments characters have, usually well before they get their event.
I'm gonna be honest, the tone of the game has been killed for me since code of brawl, having an immortal rapping penguin who wears a beanie, shades, a tupac t-shirt and a deagle nicknamed "Li'l Homie" told me that AK was gonna have some real goofy shit.
This event, i did 2 things First was play caster knights (with added mumu). It was the single worst decision i could have made, those invisible enemies are almsot impossible to kill when your only blocker is a weaker goldenglow. The second was fill out my entire screen of unbuilt 6 stars, with swire alter and regular ejya being the final pieces. ( Hopefully I'll get a new 6 star soon, i need eyja with her module for a goldenglow buff, but don'twant to build her and ruin the page) Still, events fun, and the steam mechanic, whilst a little jank, is engaging.
"and make even the EN player that can't read for shit realise she's balans" 6:52 I feel personally called out for that after having Eyja for 4 months and only now finding out she's broken
Ejya alter is a weird one because for the last six months before her appearance, we either had functionally zero elemental damage or so much that you were better off with a therapist to just resist the status effect the damage inflicted because the existing wandering medics had zero chance of doing anything about it
It baffles me how you of all people could come to such a sensible, nuanced, and self-reflective conclusion. Are you even the same SUPAH that makes those community posts about how easy it would be to groom the Ursus Student Self-Governing Group if you were Tachanka?
So basically the conclusion is, games lower their standards over time, so I accepted the consequence of a game living so many years and going lower on the standard scale, but I have to say that is not really the truth, because they prove time and time again that they still can do great stuff (like the Rhine Labs event or, probably, the Arturia event), which makes these weird bad banners (and events) stand out. But, hey, to put a positive spin on it, that we can still tell those are bad offshoots means there is still quality in the game as a whole.
Well last week I played the event for the first time and I love it, the song hitting the beats and my heart every time And the lore was so interesting, being able to see another of this lord of the beast npc. while weird as the rest of speaking animals, it was such a nice support to eyja, helping one of the most tragically affected by originium characters regain a bit of her childhood. Or how this magical being only shows to kids and probably that old man
The sheer insanity of the UA-cam posts were a thing, but ending a summer alter video on such an accepting and positive note? Who are you, and what did you- oh it was Swire. Yeah, no, that's completely understandable.
Damn, Supah got a whole redemption arc going on. Btw, i got summer swire from the ticket and eyjaberry from daily pull eventhough i dont want them. I guess you attract what you dont want.
Scratch past the jolly beachwave surface and you'll see a brave little soul attempting to come to terms not only with her grief, but mortality. The arknights vibe firmly remains whilst maintaining a psychological healing theme, even with Eyja's alter itself alluding to famous volcanic healing propertys. Knowing this, can you really say you're incapable of taking the rest of the story seriously with a straight face, Supah?
SUPAH: Nighty and Ptilo are OP medics but in a subtle way because they don't disintegrate enemies Kal'tsit: Hello? Btw, is it really overtuned and broken for Eya to erase a niche type of damage that only 10% or so enemies have, while Nighty erased a common type of damage that 50% of enemies have since day 1?
It's probably more a case of people seeing Kal'tsit as a summoner who can heal, as opposed to a proper medic. Considering she's programmed to target herself and Monst3r for healing before anyone else regardless of the situation, it's a pretty accurate assessment.
Yes,yes she is overturned.eyja is probably not even as good as nightingale for her respective niche, but her healing numbers is ridiculous. No one uses nightingale for normal content because her s3 is not useful when consistency is needed and her s2 while is good falls short in terms of raw numbers. Before eyja everyone used lumen for general use, since he had numbers comparable to single target medics while bring extra utility and a huge range, but now eyja heals about as much but ontwo targets?? How is that not broken
@@Lo-bp3zn before Eyja, everyone used whatever single target medics they like for general contents because a medic that only heal is replaceable. The reason many people used Lumen is because they were fooled into investing a whole lot of resources to make him viable so leaving him to rot would be wasteful. The only one who made a difference was Warfarin because she provides an irreplaceable atk buff and SP charge. As for IS3, the content with the most elemental damage, everyone would have invested in Cunnyberry or Mulberry for that and they served their purpose well. Eyja is cool but she's not as big of an improvement to guarantee wasting 4 more hopes early on for her.
13:57 ehh, not really? Dolly is a Sovereign of Beasts, just like Emperor. It's basically sheep god, making sheep "clones" with the minds, memories, and emotions of the people it liked.

@@CzDelta92fate keep doin it over and over again so why ak cant do it ??
Supah are you ok? I hope positivity did not take too bad a toll on you, get well soon 🙏
Supah character development deserves an alter event. Supalter will so OP that every social media meta will break when Supalter releases.
Can't wait for Eyja Alter 2.
I heard she'll be Juggernaut.
with healable juggernaut module.
@@vbrawny_zuelong5300 she's a volcanologist right? Maybe she uses the power of magma for shield and self-sustains.
Eyjafjalla the Akainu confirmed.
hell naw I saw this comment and just imagined half crystalized eyja holding lane against patriot. I hate my own imagination sometime
I’d argue thatthe event being goofy isnt tone killing, its just a refresher from all the serious depresso we ve been feed. There are still some serious issues discussed in the event aside from
The wacky antics of dolly and the bunch.
Yea surprisingly I'd like some dessert after seeing Clement fucking decapitate someone.
Even Dossoles event dealt with the politics of Dossoles City profiteering from the Bolivarian civil war
Yup, not everything had to be all serious and depressing
I... I did it... the positive video... it's here... I finally released it...
I bet you weren't expecting THIS to be the positive video.
I am very disappointed.
something is wrong
wtf supah
not sure what to feel, but for your mental health I guess having this character arc is overall good for you
So that's why the community post went bonkers 😂 you just had compensate somewhere. Jk, I love your videos❤
"Well, that was something."
"Yeah, it was shit."
@14:06 "Embrace the Goofy"
Idk man, i prefer to embrace Nearl or Gummy instead.
BA fanbase is already busted and degenerate tho
How can you be the most hated Arknights UA-camr when you are the coolest Arknights UA-camr?
The limited op alter spam is breaking many bank accounts and hearts. I rolled 300 to spark because I was on hiatus when Ch’alter and Gavi’alter came out, so I was going for one of them… and ended up with all the things through 300 rolls. Seriously, I scored 14x 6* over 300 pulls (one being the spark for Gavi’alter.) This was likely all my luck for the next year.
I got Chen holungday as my second 6 star 86 pulls which was pretty nutty
Got 5 6* after 250 pulls, 3 of which were Swire 😂 (I'm done with this game)
@@obsiangravel bruh youre comparing a freebie to a limited unit, obviously they gonna make the later more busted 😂
The way this man spent a year brainwashing me into finally maxing out my Gummy smh
Bro I feel proud for sticking through to have witnessed your character arc.
SUPAH Alter.
Or SUPAH, The Grateful or something.
new character arc is going crazy
Honestly making the event called "so long Adele" and NOT killing Eyja in it is probably the biggest missed opportunity for me. Like, that would automatically justify the alter and be honest, it ain't like you're gonna do much with her after this.
I remember you 5 months ago commenting that the story was probably gonna be eyja in a coma dream lmao
@@SUPAH_SUPAH_SUPAH Still salty that it wasn't NGL. Unlike you I still yearn for the year one days.
They saving the lin swimsuit skin for an alter executor specialist.
Seeing "No Matoimaru" skin in the bingo card made me die inside
Thank you SUPAH, for such a fun and positive video!
Ngl thought this was just a well thought out rant vid but honestly this was a pretty banger video.
As a Fate Grand Order player, I don't see a single one of the issues you set in place as an actual problem. Lol I'm numb to every single one of these issues. Well the "they're lazy" argument is still pretty strong as an argument. But otherwise I just can't support your criticisms, though I do understand them.
"i have him on my sights, should i take the shot , mr. polarisu?"
Well damn, wasnt expecting a cameo in the video. Much love Supah
You should've added the beginning part at the end for better viewer retention 🤓
SUPAH, blink twice if you're held at gunpoint
this is basically how i feel now after a bunch of alters exist.
I feel like this is still the original Supah but with more subtlety. Stay cool, Supah, you're awesome 💯
Tears in my eyes. Who knew Supah sounding so peacefully resigned would be so beautiful.
Gummy man folded at last.
SUPAH finally did it. He evolved from being the most hated Arknights UA-camr and upgraded into a semblance of a based human being
As a f2p who keeps coming to the game and leaving it, I don't think alters were ever an issue.
Pretty much hit the nail on the head on all points. Everyone else can pack up and go home. Their comments will be just as pointless as this video.
i can't imagine what would happen if SUPAH decides to play limbus only to realise that every character is an alter
Except for the mechanics, everything else in Hortus is really great
Imagine if the Sui event livestream tomorrow has an alter for one of the six stars lol
Waiting for ling alter😶
Will there be two more holiday alters next year?

Damn, to this day i use Eyjaalter and never thought how lucky i was
I got her from free speen
the thing about alters is, Its a new unit, I don't have to trust farm them.
thats about it. when eyja dropped 6 months ago, I saw the banner and was like meh, I guess I can skip it.
the mylnar showcase you link pretty sure has some elemental damage down (probably playing on easy not even surging waves) and isn't really a valid showcase.
by all means go ahead and try it for yourself, see what relics are required or what surging waves. I tried it, without relics I'm pretty sure it doesn't work even on surging waves 0.
I need Supah to rambling about Blue Archive now
one of the best arcs i have witnessed in the history of arknights
happy arknights anniversary Supah
blue archive releasing summer units works bc it's an unserious and fan-servicey game most of the time
arknights isn't really an unserious and fan-servicey game, it's kinda the opposite, ppl expect serious lore and storylines
if arknights wants to do silly stuff without ppl criticizing, then they'll have to break off from the edgy and embrace fun
As much as i hate the typical cash grabbing summer event stuff most gacha's have, at least so far two of them have given me fun Specialist Operators to use in my Niche Knights while also being generally pretty to look at.
This might be out off topic but i love how you choose "Victory" bgm from Phoenix Wright Ace attorney in your resolution.
I am waiting for SUPAH Alter after all that character development
Wow, what a rollercoaster and a character development.
Supah having a passing acceptance and not a hyperbolic meltdown? 2024 already hitting different
glad the antagonist has finally become the ally. we will all band together to defeat the true big bad!!!
ayo SUPALTER just dropped
what an unexpected character development!
SUPAH has finally evolved to the lapland stage
Watching Supah all this time was just a reminder to think about this whole thing independently.
SUPAH character development, you say? So, where's SUPAH Alter to show this character development?
SUPAH had a character arc? Time for SUPAH ALTER.
I'm gonna be honest, the tone of the game has been killed for me since code of brawl, having an immortal rapping penguin who wears a beanie, shades, a tupac t-shirt and a deagle nicknamed "Li'l Homie" told me that AK was gonna have some real goofy shit.
U know i can see the madness of Supah when W alter come to global haha, also i bet SUPAH will be so freaking happy if his Gummy got alter😂.
This event, i did 2 things
First was play caster knights (with added mumu). It was the single worst decision i could have made, those invisible enemies are almsot impossible to kill when your only blocker is a weaker goldenglow.
The second was fill out my entire screen of unbuilt 6 stars, with swire alter and regular ejya being the final pieces.
( Hopefully I'll get a new 6 star soon, i need eyja with her module for a goldenglow buff, but don'twant to build her and ruin the page)
Still, events fun, and the steam mechanic, whilst a little jank, is engaging.
"and make even the EN player that can't read for shit realise she's balans" 6:52
I feel personally called out for that after having Eyja for 4 months and only now finding out she's broken
SUPAH are you ok? Is Mister Arknights holding your pet rock hostage? Come on you can tell us, just say Gummy is mid and we know something is up.
Ejya alter is a weird one because for the last six months before her appearance, we either had functionally zero elemental damage or so much that you were better off with a therapist to just resist the status effect the damage inflicted because the existing wandering medics had zero chance of doing anything about it
And also the names of those two archetypes seems swapped around
They will change the meta
We need new new ursus student event with alter gummy next.
Can't wait for something like the Gavial event's Blaze alter with a broken version of La Pluma Archetype.
It baffles me how you of all people could come to such a sensible, nuanced, and self-reflective conclusion. Are you even the same SUPAH that makes those community posts about how easy it would be to groom the Ursus Student Self-Governing Group if you were Tachanka?
That community post was also sensible, nuanced and self-reflective.
There's also the other argument: When HG pushed out survey questions to the CN community, what did the players respond with that caused this shift?
Somewhat sane is a good way to describe you
Holy sh!t, SUPAH and character development? Name a more surprising pair!
I had to spark for Muelsyse. So I feel the pain.
SUPAH, please blink 4 times next video if you are being held hostage
Well last week I played the event for the first time and I love it, the song hitting the beats and my heart every time
And the lore was so interesting, being able to see another of this lord of the beast npc. while weird as the rest of speaking animals, it was such a nice support to eyja, helping one of the most tragically affected by originium characters regain a bit of her childhood. Or how this magical being only shows to kids and probably that old man
Honestly this vid and hearing your new perspective on the matter of Alters is kinda touching lol
Gummy is mad. You freaked out on Myrtle's skin.
The sheer insanity of the UA-cam posts were a thing, but ending a summer alter video on such an accepting and positive note? Who are you, and what did you- oh it was Swire. Yeah, no, that's completely understandable.

SUPAH: Nighty and Ptilo are OP medics but in a subtle way because they don't disintegrate enemies
Kal'tsit: Hello?
Btw, is it really overtuned and broken for Eya to erase a niche type of damage that only 10% or so enemies have, while
Nighty erased a common type of damage that 50% of enemies have since day 1?
If you think of it that way, it makes sense, as Emperor is the same class of creature but just spends his time as a rap god for fun. They've lived the entire time span of the planet and have god level powers, so crap is gonna get real wierd, real fast.
We need a pregnant gummy alter
