Just wanted to say for everyone who hasn't beaten MC2 yet, the larger red eye that pops out of her when you knock out her shield is connected to her health bar, so hitting it will deal damage to her. If you knock the large eye out of the air and bat it into the spike pit on the left side of the arena, you can use the spheralis to spam lasers and deal massive damage to the boss, usually killing her in one round.
Funny thing is, my way of defeating this boss is by using the spear as a platform to the left side right below the door and spam power spear over and over again. It's a cheap tactic but hey, it works just fine.
MC2 is one of those bosses where she's incredibly difficult normally, but you can ignore like half her attacks completely if you know how to cheese them. It's a bit of a shame she's so imbalanced, because her easier version in the royal archives was a lot of fun to fight.

4:09 I was trying to focus on the fight but then these goofballs show up, failing to wake the Phoenix. I needed a moment to stop laughing.

That’s kinda looks like the Mother Brain from Metroid Zero Mission, but similar
