Brennick you observed correctly in your description!👏 Gracie's ears were pinned and one of them squealed. It wasn't life or death fight, but you're right that Gracie is very protective and I think Katie said a 1st time Momma. So cute though 😘
@@dkelly8985 her horses are very sweet . I was just wondering how you would handle it if that isn’t the case. How do separate animals that are that big and mad. Katie’s seem like such sweet angels!
I just have to comment on how bloody amazing your mares look. They are so well looked after and it shows in their condition. Penelope is such a carbon copy of Trudy, I love me a rich bay. Petey is just too flipping cute. Typical little boy - looks like butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth, but you know damn well he has a mischievous side. Gracie has the helicopter mama mode locked down to an art 😂
Katie, I don't think you realize how much your videos help me!!! They help my mental and physical health. I've always been an animal lover. I feel mentally at peace when I'm not doing well physically. I used to get sad and mad that this is my life. All your hard work that you put into your posts are SO greatly appreciated! Thank you Katie! ❤
I absolutely love watching all of your horses, but I especially love watching the horses with the babies out starting to get to know each other. I am totally blown away by how motherly the mamas are I just love that!! I’ve been around horses somewhat all of my life but I’ve never been around horses babies. I think Gracie is super protective. Love love all your animals. Your videos make my dad❤
You know Katie, when we’ve had a stressful day, you bring peace and comfort… just watching something so peaceful as both Mama’s with their babies can calm you can reduce your stress.. thank you!!
That damn fly just won’t leave Petey alone! 😂 I loved how he ran to momma like help me I keep shooing it away but it keeps touching me! I didn’t consent!
I loved them getting to meet! Can’t wait to see them play together. On a side note, Katie I absolutely love your hair. You are gorgeous. With or without makeup on you are just so beautiful and it shines through every day. Love your personality.
Thank you for the beautiful video I am a senior lady now but in my days I've always loved horses I believe when God created the Earth the first animal on the earth that he ever created was a horse they had a most beautiful graceful animals there ever was and you are so lucky to be able to have your horses I am so jealous God bless you and God bless your horses🥰😇🐾🐾❤💜🐴🐎😁👍😄
One of my broodmares will go into total recluse mode, like being within a mile of both horses and people is too close, for the first month after foaling and once that first month is done she'll come stand by the gate ready to be back in the action 😂
I really really enjoy watching you with your horses and your miniature cows all your pets I really do And I like the way Gracie and Trudy got along that's pretty good for the first time being together once they had their babies I really liked it enjoyed it all
My wife is an avid fan on TikTok and added you to my UA-cam on her laptop by accident, but I have been liking the break from all my cars and crazy channels, lol. I enjoy all your critters and your explanations of everything that's going on with them.
Watching you with your horses fills my heart of missing mine. I had one I rescued & was told he had been gelded. Turned out he was just young & they hadn't dropped yet. I found that out 8 months after I got a mayor. The 2 of them made a beautiful little girl though. I ended up giving all 3 of them to my girlfriend who had others on her farm when I left Tennessee to move back north. I miss them so much & watching you with yours is beautiful. I sure do miss riding.
Have you ever ready the book "The Little Fellow" by Margurite Henry? Well your mares and their foals look similar to the characters! One Momma is Chocolate and her foal Chip (Trudy and Penelope). But your mare Gracie and Petey look so similar to the characters Fanny Jenks and her little foal Strawberry Jenks! The Little Fellow was my absolute favorite as a child and it was so fun to stumble upon this video. Very enjoyable, love those little cuties! Thanks for sharing! ❤🐎
I worked with thorubred horses for 30years and messed with yearles and 2yearolds that's never been tunched I for one love that you teach them so Yung so thank you so much for all the time you spent with them
The reason for this much drama is cuz when foals are that young, moms have to make sure the foal can recognize its mom very well, as a result, in nature, females become a bit reserved and aloof within the herd, if that didn't happen, the foal would struggle to recognize its mom. This doesn't happen with all species, but horses? Yeah a bit. After some time (can't remember how long, some months i guess) the mom feels the foal has learned to recognize her and so She feels secure enough to introduce her Little one to the herd. EDIT: Source: my etology professor in university!
I love horses but don't have a ton of practical experience with them, can you explain why you wrap the lead rope behind the foals when you lead them? Love your content, thanks for making these videos!
In the beginning when Gracie whipped around I thought “uh oh”. I’m a non horsey person but Gracie seems like she’s being an amazing first time mom.

@@kimcwhite6509 what would Katie have been able to do if it had turned super aggressive?
She is! Just very protective
@@brennik05 I suspect that they didn’t expect it to be any worse than it was. They know their horses and they know how many mommas react.

I think Petey might be the most adorable foal I’ve ever seen 🥰
Totally agree 💯 💙🐴
❤
I think so too!! He just has the sweetest little face!!!
So good to see a foal being halter broke the right way. Good job. I was a trainer for over 40 yrs and seen some heart breaking destructive techniques.

*It's heartwarming to see Gracie so protective of her baby, Peteys, and it's great to see his legs improving. Watching them together is such a joy.*
Absolutely just beautiful horses ❤❤❤❤😊
So great the foals followed their Mom❤
And soon they will get closer as you said.

I can never get over how beautiful Trudy is. I find myself just staring at her in these videos, haha.
My nefew just sent me pictures of his new colt. She 2days old now looks like her mom. Horses are such beautiful majestic animal's.
The white spot on that little foals forehead looks as though it was drawn with a compass then filled in with white . So perfect .
Gracie is such a good momma.
The babies grow so fast, and their personalities will grow quickly also❤
Trudy might be the most beautiful horse I ever seen.
Such fun watching the babies discover the big world. ♥️♥️
