To be honest, I wasn't angry that Skrull replaced the fantastic four. It meant having a little bit of everyone, instead of having to choose only 3 of the 4 if I wanted a full team.
Taskmaster I felt was a good choice to have. Super Skrull I liked as well because what's the point of having the Fantastic Four as playable characters if you have a character that has all their powers. It's better that way.

Last I checked, the ColecoVision launched with Donkey Kong in the box and Nintendo really dragged their feet on granting the rights. Primarily at Atari's behest since Atari was looking to add the Console rights to the PC rights they already had. The CV version of Donkey Kong did also come out at Retail on its own as well; boxed copies come up every so often on eBay. Also, the CV was more powerful than the 2600 and IntelliVision, but not really that much. The 2600 and IV ports were mostly gimped because Coleco wanted to use the minimum amount of ROM possible. Atari and Mattel did exactly the same things as well with their ports, it wasn't isolated to Coleco. IIRC, the Atarisoft version of Centipede for the CV is significantly worse than Coleco's own port of the very similar Slither. Mattel didn't even bother making cart shells for the CV and 2600, they just used an Intellivision cart shell with a very basic slot adapter glued to the bottom. If the CV wasn't any good, Sega wouldn't have basically lifted it, replaced the discontinued parts like the Graphics Chip, simplified the controller and sold it as the Master System. The systems are so close, most of the Master System emulators can properly run ColecoVision games if you load the ColecoVision BIOS into it.
As a programmer, I can almost guarantee the reason that the Watch Dogs texture pack was still included was that it was close to release and they were afraid of breaking everything when they took it out, so it was just easier to leave it in.
I'd also believe that a dev left it in because they thought it'd be a waste of hard work to take it out, knowing that's it's there they could buy the game later and reapply the updated textures themselves
To be honest, I'm surprised MvC3 had as many characters as it did which Fox/Sony own the movie rights to. It ties into the main reason I just don't give a crap about Marvel these days: I don't really care about a majority of the characters Marvel 'kept' the movie rights for, and who they have the movie rights for basically dictates everything else. Actively trying to destroy franchises like X-men and Fantastic Four for the sake of movie rights, shit like MvC:Infinite missing a bunch of fan favourite and roster staple characters, forcing shit into the comic storylines in attempts to kill off interest, ceasing merchandise for those characters. "Fuck Wolverine, we've got a Doctor Strange movie out, you'll play as him instead. Now go buy a god damn Thor 2 movie ticket". I'm honestly stunned Spiderman has managed to stay relevant up until Marvel 'got him back'.
Thankfully the X-men have come back on the comics side. Marvel this year for some reason decided to doubled down on X-men comics and there are now around 11 X-men books.
When it comes to mvci in largely blaming the issues on Disney. I played the game at CEO and capcom did an absolutely fantastic job on the gameplay. Things such as the roster being lackluster I'm blaming Disney's influence on that.
Contacting you from the future my friend… and it turns out Disney wasn’t actually to blame at all. The man you’re looking for is Ike Perlmutter, former head of Marvel Entertainment. *He* was the one responsible for the disowning of the Fantastic Four and X-Men, the disaster that became of Marvel Television, and he nearly ruined the MCU too if not for *Disney* of all people stepping in to stop him. So in a bizarre twist, The House of Mouse is actually not to blame for this. Weird isn’t it?
In games, it's often easier to disable the program's access to said content than it is to remove content. There's probably something in the old code that is required for something else, so rather than delete it and risk breaking something else, just disable access to things it's not using.
Christopher Lambert is American? Not with that accent Larry. He's from Belgium. You know, Flemish. Like me on a day with high pollen counts. Bah dum pum...
I still cannot comprehend the whole "PS4 and Xbone were too weak to properly run Watch Doges" thing. GTA4 and inFamous 2, both big detailed open world games, were released on PS3, and ran just FINE. How much fucking horsepower do you need to run a modern game nowadays?!?
I'm surprised Francois didn't try to sue Atari for unpaid wages. However, in the end it did work out, since karma tends to deal in irony. Soon after shipping their final title, "Fight for Life", Atari lost theirs. I recall another story about a game called "Spintires," where the developer placed a "time bomb" within the code of the game which would cause the game to stop functioning unless the developer was paid his due in order to fix it. This was due to non-payment by the company for work done by the developer. I archived an article covering the situation last year, for those who are curious. archive.is/vayaP
Regarding MvC3 and the Fantastic 4... Were you talking about Super Skrull? He's the one with the F4's powers - Taskmaster uses spiderman, captain america, and hawkeye's abilities, all characters appearing in the game alongside him.
From the core roster of MVCI, there are only FOUR new playable characters with the rest just returning characters from UMVC3 and SIX other new playable characters are behind PAID DLC. Gotta force them season pass, amirite? Not only that, they're excuse for not involving X-men are friggin' petty. It's a PR disaster, coupled with some "Pro players" trying so hard to convince everyone that there's NOTHING wrong with Chun Li's previous face. I bet you 100 bisonbux they won't change a thing if we hadn't stopped nagging them about all the wrong stuff we've seen. Yes, they fixed some of the face, I'm a bit glad, but they took notice only because their faces was one of the complaints that is very vocal, don't know if they fixed all the other problems. Don't get me wrong, it's a game I want to be good, but the only saving grace for it is the game mechanics and it's been overshadowed by corporate politics, shitty business practices, and god awful PR. I'm keeping my guard up until launch...
And then there's Capcom saying stupid shit to justify the lack of X-Men, and while what Combofiend said is true for the competitive scene, it's still bullshit. Keep in mind, I don't think the lack of legacy characters is going to hurt the game too much in the long run. Fuck, a lot of the FGC thinks SF3 was the best Street Fighter, both competitive and casual players, so if people make the exception for SF3, why not MvCI. As for the Season Pass, I would much rather they have a Season Pass that gets me every character and all the DLC even if some of it is day one, than buy a Season Pass and get all the DLC characters except the pre-order bonus characters that everyone wants (Fuck Netherrealm (why do I need to pay extra on top of the season pass to get one of the best Superman villains ever? And why microtransactions?) and fuck Namco (especially Namco $25 only gets me 3 characters (no one asked for Geese Howard, by the way. We already have Akuma (also, if the rumors that the next DLC character is from Overwatch are true, I'm fucking done)) and some metallic skins? I don't even get Eliza? Fuck you)).

Silver Samurai was not obscure. There's a whole long and bloody story surround Wolverine, X-13 and the Silver Samurai directly from the era of Children of the Atom.
On the other hand, Shuma Gorath was super obscure and was actually picked because Capcom were flipping through Marvel supplied character guides and loved his design.
Look, you guys are clearly X-Men fans (Hey, I am too.) but any villainous character who wasn't a Brotherhood mutant at one point is obscure from a Mainstream stand point, due to the insular nature of X-men plots and how SO FUCKING MANY CHARACTERS they have. Hell, Proteus had a few huge plots involving him and most people don't know who he is.
Well, define "obscure," first off. Comic enthusiasts would certainly not label that stuff as obscure, but the rest of us don't know dick about it. So....yeah, for 99% of us, it's not common knowledge, my dude.
Buckythestickman if you think X-Men stories are insular, be terrified of Hulk stories. Marvel policy used to be that Hulk/gamma-themed villains only existed in Hulk stories, meaning that you never knew if Hulk stories counted in the Marvel Universe or not.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Coleco Adam port of Donkey Kong. Aside from some slightly rearranged level layouts and simplified graphics, the Adam port of Donkey Kong was damn near arcade perfect and goes above and beyond in terms of presentation. It even features a rather catchy original musical composition for the name entry screen that wasn’t in any other version.
I remember seeing an interview back when the PC version was first shown off with the lower graphics, with the dev lead having the gall to say that the PS4/XB1 were going to be more powerful than the PC. That's what got a lot of people datamining the game if I recall. I don't know why someone would be so dumb to claim that.

Pretty sure the Coleco making Atari and Intellivision ports bad on purpose is a myth. Several programmers and employess of Coleco back then debunked that myth. A few programmers I have listened to talk at the Classic Gaming Expo's said the same thing. Does not make much business sense.

I'm genuinely surprised Larry didn't mention the absolute abysmal PR attempt to cover it up, where a capcom employee said that those characters wont be missed and aernt important because they gave their functions to other characters, suggesting that no one cares for fantastic four or x-men characters for who they are or because they like the characters, but only for their functions and movesets. That is the ultimate gutpunch of MvC Infinite.
It wasn't Taskmaster that got in MvC3 in lieu of the Fantastic Four. It was Super Skrull, whose main trait is encompassing all four of their powers. Originally, the Human Torch was in instead of him, but they apparently couldn't get the flame effects to work exactly right or something. It wasn't an early sign of the F4/X purge, either, because LEGO Marvel Super Heroes came out a couple years after MvC3 and featured tons of X-Men AND the Fantastic Four. (The sequel of which is coming this year and seems to suffer from similar limitations as Infinite due to said purge.)
T.S. Eliot also said "Oh! Well, I never! Was there ever a cat so clever as Magical Mister Mistoffelees?" Not sure how we can relate that to vidya, tho.
Yeah, I don’t know anyone who would gladly keep working without getting paid for their work. (I get paid crap at my job, but at least my job doesn’t withhold my paycheck for four months straight, I get paid bi-weekly. Though a couple months ago, there was one Friday where I didn’t get my paycheck. I was on vacation at the time with my family but was totally planning to raise hell if I didn’t get paid. Luckily, they caught their mistake before I could bring it to their attention - apparently, I was one of two employees who mistakenly didn’t get paid - and paid me the following Tuesday.)
Not sure if this was already mentioned, but in the MVC3 part, I would imagine it would make more sense of Super Skrull being more of the Fantastic Four replacement than Taskmaster. I mean, he pretty much uses all the powers of the FF minus invisible woman.
I would like to bring something up in relation to Marvel VS Capcom Infinite: Disney were not the ones who demanded the removal of the Fantastic Four and X-Men characters. The villain you are looking for is a man named Ike Perlmutter, former CEO of Marvel Entertainment (the group that had the *actual* power to green light those inclusions). Perlmutter was a creatively bankrupt money grubber who was behind the disowning of The Fan Four and X-Man simply because it didn’t make them (read: him) any money. He also caused a lot of friction with Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios, as he kept interfering with the films and their stories (he’s the reason it took so long to get Black Panther and Captain Marvel in the MCU btw). In fact this meddling got so bad that he literally tried to have Iron Man removed from Civil War because he simply didn’t want to pay Robert Downey Jr to come back! That little scheme nearly destroyed the MCU if it wasn’t for Bob Iger stepping in, splitting Marvel Studios from Marvel Entertainment and then giving full control of both the studio and the MCU to Kevin Feige. So in a bizarre plot twist, Disney were not only *not* responsible for the meddling seen in MVC 3 and MvCI, but they were actually the *good guys* at the end of the day! Waddaya know?
I think the intent of this list was games that were supposed to be good, but were sabotaged. Takeshi's Challenge was made exactly the way it was originally intended to be. :-D
has Marvel and Capcom really not tried to integrate stories together, so that Japan has a whole host of "superheros" of their own, that Marvel can pull from at some point, like having the S.T.A.R.S. members a part of SHIELD or something, how badass would it be if Dante teamed up with Wolverine against the Silver Samuri
Deals to share control of characters almost never end well. That's why we'll never get a new Roger Rabbit, why MC3 was pulled from shelves, and is the reason the Spider-man movie situation is such a mess.
most of what Capcom does is make the games, the DMC anime was made by an anime company that owns the rights to it, the light novels were made by a company that makes light novels, and if there were a manga for it that would be made by a manga company, and if they were to make a live action story that would be yet a different company, as far as movies go its exactly the same way, you think Marvels legal situation is a huge mess, Capcom is relatively simple, they make a game with characters, then sell the rights of that character in any other form of media to dozens of different companies, thats why Death Notes manga is put out by Shonin Jump, the anime is produced by Madhouse, there are video games by Konami, and the new live action film will be made by Netflix
Because that script dictates if the movie is either good or bad, dumbass. If it's bad, then the movie is bad. it's the spine of every media, from games, to books. If it's a mess, then everything's falling down. Roger rabbit had a fantastic script.
Lots of companies use that second trick. Lots of PC games that are "fps throttled" are throttled because they don't want to make a "definite" version on any one console. It's bad for the industry to make any one version obviously superior to any other, but it's insulting to PC users who create machines dedicated to running these games smoothly. Ubisoft isn't the only one that does that.
He said task master in lieu of fantastic 4 as in he knows they aren’t related but marvel claimed it was cheaper to use him rather than fantastic 4 but it was actually a legal issue
I think as a console and Pc gamer the worst part of the Watch_dogs story was that Ubisoft released a patch completely blocking people from using those files after it got out. Shame because the game was stunning to play on my mid end pc and it barely affected the performance. So their finished game wasn't even optimised that well compared to what modders had managed to unlock.
Pretty surprised to see MvC: Infinite taking the #1 spot at first since it hasn't been officially released yet but, when I heard the reasoning, I definitely can understand. Might be a blessing in disguise for some fans though; Doom's hidden missiles and footdive shenanigans lol Side-note, I'm still planning on getting it day 1 after playing the demo and seeing it in person at a major. Please let Asura be in it...
Bink it's really not. I get the animosity towards Capcom and honestly they do deserve it but, after playing the demo and at CEO, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Also, people need to respect the pipe from Haggar heh.
Donkey Kong wasn't the only victim of the "purposely made to look bad" treatment on the Atari 2600 - Mattel did pretty much the same thing with the BurgerTime (to make their Intellivision look better)!
Yo, why are you showing Devil may cry 3, Kingdom Hearts, Shadow of the colossus, Okami, and Sly Cooper when you talked about games being rushed and unfinished!? Your sending me mixed messages.
Larry Bundy Jr Ok, is there a specific video(s)? I've seen plenty of fact hunts and haven't seen you mention some of these games. I'll go and start my hunt. P.S. You and your vids still rock.
There's usually a pattern or theme on these beginning segments. In this case, it was all PS2 titles. It has absolutely nothing to do with the video in question. The games you saw there are high-quality.
Glad to be back. Was subscribed before... been gone for a while. It's taking me a while to remember every channel I was subscribed to... glad this one popped into my recommended!
I kind of feel the last one on the list, MvCi, was a bit misguiding - because the game isn't even out yet, so it's a bit too early to say it's crap - nor that the change of removing FoX-men characters actually makes the game worse - not necessarily, it just means there'll be other characters. Like you said - the characters they have inserted instead, have a CRAP-load of fans, salivating at their inclusion in the game. Does that actually make the game bad? No, of course not. With that said... the war between Ike Perlmutter (draconian objectivist madman in charge of Disney, forcing his employees to obey every evil command) and FoX can of course be described as imbecilic at best.
I'm sure this has been said but PC gaming is way more successful than your script implies. I like your work Larry but PC game sales continue to increase dramatically every year.
The illusion is caused by there being less console games, paired with the "season" aspect of shooters and sports games, which make up a huge part of the console market. Because of this, you have the smaller console player base spread across the same few games at any given point in time, making the single AAA game have a larger following on console than pc at the height of its popularity. That being said, there are more pc players, but there are WAY more games. On top of that, games have longer shelf lives on pc. If you need an example, just look at any shooter on console compared to pc. When the modern warfare series ended, on console the first games was already owned by hackers and almost unpopulated. On PC, the first game was still going strong and people played it regularly. The lack of urgency to play a particular game in a particular time on PC due to the fact that pcs aren't closed, and therefore don't need to be fully replaced, means people take more time on games they really love, so fan bases for games tend to die down slower, and games tend to gain new players for far longer into that games cycle than on console. On top of this, this is good for the developer because of how pc games are purchased. There is no large used market for pc games. If you buy a game on steam 3 years after release (almost always at a massive discount), the developer gets that money. If you buy a used disc 3 years after release for console (good luck finding a new one), the developer doesn't get a dime. This means that over time, a game will give a good revenue stream on PC, even if it didn't get the immediate seasonal following. This also means though that there is an illusion of pc gaming being less popular. When you have so many choices, you end up with less people at one time in a certain game, meaning that someone looking at a snapshot of the numbers on release date for a AAA multiplat title could make the false assumption that pc gaming is less popular, not realizing the vast horde of players playing other games, or playing games that will never be on console.
So does the amount of PC games. When you have gamers waiting until that awesome AAA game goes on sale for $5 because they spend $100 in a bunch of indie shovelware, it isn't a surprise developers are growing more interested in consoles
When a ton of people bought Goat Simulator don't tell me PC gamers aren't shovelware-happy. "Oh look a steam sale with a bunch of lazy-ass games I barely know anything about! Buy!!"
MvC:I shouldn't be here since A) it's not even out B) it's still being revamped. C) what's being showed at the conference and cons has some of the FGC approval. Yes, the removal of the X-Men brand does blow chunks, but they (the devs working on the game) said that the inclusion of the X-brand characters can still happen down the line. So yeah, not list worthy. Also, Super Skrull is a FF character soooo...yeah.
He was born in New York because his father was a French diplomat who worked at the UN. They moved to Geneva when he was 2, then to France when he was 16. Lambert served in the French military and holds French citizenship. So yes, he is American. /s

No worries, Larry. You're still great. For the record, Taskmaster can't copy powers. He can learn fighting techniques perfectly well just by seeing them. This is stuff like martial arts and archery and rope climbing, not like fireballs and invisibility.
1) Console favoritism at it's finest. And though it was a success, Coleco wouldn't last long due to the game crash of 1983. 2) Oh I know way too well about Watch Dogs. I had no idea they made the PC port look like crap just so that the console ports are better. Oh Ubisoft! Had to make a Jim Sterling quote. 3) Wow. How petty can you be Ocean. Seriously. How fucking petty do you have to fucking be to make your game look bad just because you don't want to pay royalties. What bastards! 4) Atari really was petty even back then. Guess it would be inevitable that the failure of the Jaguar and the Lynx would spell doom. They had been doomed ever since the crash of 83 and even to this day, they are not the same. How sad. 5) If there is ANYONE you should blame for this... it isn't Disney. It's Marvel president Isaac Perlmutter that is the reason why Disney and Fox are on bitter terms. To be fair, Marvel was nearly going bankrupt in the 90s so what can they do & now Fox is determined to hold on to the licenses as long as it makes them bank, even if the films are shitte. The exceptions being Logan and Deadpool. They made bank but the F4 reboot tanked. That's why I'm not buying MvCI. Not worth my money if the game is like this due to pettiness. At least Sony and Marvel were able to get along, which is why we got Spider-Man Homecoming but still... a sad day for us all. Oh and fuck Capcom for being incompetent as well. Great fact hunt Larry. A new favorite episode indeed.
@Ash Cash: Ocean eventually did go out of business, but the company never truly went away. It's now part of Infrogrames, the same company that owns the Atari name nowadays.

Thank Permullter for this shitty situation.
Since 2014 I stop buy any marvel and by extension disney product.
+MrSafior
And I'm sure you've hurt their sales figures very badly (sarcasm)
Actually they didn't get him back they only go the ok to do 2 movies their is rumours that Sony is going to get him back after the 2 film
Capcom is trying their hardest to save this game, the new trailer is awesome but sadly we'll never get what Capcom wanted to give us.

Highlander: "The Producers" done right.
I was about to make that point, but you beat me to it.
"Cash"? That's a strange name for a video game, but sure, I'll make my check out to that!
Hey, Lotus Prince. Small world, eh?
Indeed. :-D

Regarding MvC3 and the Fantastic 4... Were you talking about Super Skrull? He's the one with the F4's powers - Taskmaster uses spiderman, captain america, and hawkeye's abilities, all characters appearing in the game alongside him.
Yeah, that was a whoopsie.
Fuck you)).
RaveSault same
RaveSault Quite disappointing honestly, a slap to the face to all the fans
but muh functions
I gotta blame Marvel on this, the gameplay is godlike and the new trailer finally got my attention but it seriously fucked me up on the first trailer.
Did you just really say "Long before ISIS made decapitations popular"...? Dude xD
I agree. The French Revolution made decapitations popular. Poor fact checking, Fact Hunt.
Sambou Jaiteh ah yes, i remember when the last decaptiation was in the news, everyone immideatly remembered the french revolution in the CURRENT YEAR of 2017
fucking savage man XD
moohammed himself was cutting off heads around 1,000 years before the French Rev.
He meant it's popularity in pop-culture and not necessarily as a wartime punishment, otherwise the Roman Empire would take top cake here.
Hell, Proteus had a few huge plots involving him and most people don't know who he is.
that's actually a good point.
Good video, as always, Guru Larry! Man, I really was surprised by how shady & scummy the gaming business underworld is.
But that's what I love about your videos! You show us not just the games, but what went into making them, & why! There's only so many answers you can get looking at the code, after all, for example, & I think this kind of content isn't made often enough!!
Finally able to watch one of your videos as soon as it's uploaded! Cheers from the US
Cheers bud :)
"replaced all the decent characters for the sequel"
"decent"
"characters"
What decent character? the cardboard protagonist counts as decent? Was it a decent cardboard?
I take annoying hipster over boring piece of plank
Ironic considering 2's characters have way more actual... Character.
Hey, Larry! Watching this video in the middle of researching Final Fantasy V so that I can participate in the Four Job Fiesta charity was a nice way to spend this morning on my birthday, and the dumpster fires in the comments below didn't upset me because I'm pretty good at laughing that kind of shit off. Just wanted to say that you're still putting smiles on people's faces with your content, mate! Keep up the great work. ^_^
ooh, happy birthday dude!!! :)
Thank you! It's going nicely. ^^
Pretty sure the Coleco making Atari and Intellivision ports bad on purpose is a myth. Several programmers and employess of Coleco back then debunked that myth. A few programmers I have listened to talk at the Classic Gaming Expo's said the same thing. Does not make much business sense.
"Americans pretending to be Scottish." Christopher Lambert is French.
Exactly. How the hell anyone could confuse him for an American, with his French accent and surname, is beyond me.
he was born in Newyork
He's got an english first name and also Canadians exist.
Protip: GuruLarry didn't confuse it. Look up the WatchMojo incident for why he includes "gaffs" like these.
DoomRate That's not a fake fact though the guy was born in NY and was raised in geneva because he was born NY it makes him American
>watch dogs 1
>decent characters
Yeah, i liked the characters in WD2 for at least not all being complete dicks like WD1 hahaha, sort of a lesser evil thing.
I much rather prefer a mostly lack of character with one guy that really should be the protagonist over a bunch of guys with the personality of someone who unironically laughs at memes
I prefer WD1. Granted though WD2 did some good things that WD1 didn't do, like more variety in terms of hacking and other graphical improvements...but...yet WD1 feels a bit more better in terms of open world. I felt like there was more things to do in that game and wasn't annoying unlike the pandering in WD2....
This is literally the first time I've heard someone say that the dull-fest of Watch Dogs 1 had any semblance of good characters in there.
To be fair, the main character problem in Watch Underscore Dogs 1 was Aiden being a completely unrepentant dickbag villain. A lot of the other characters were at least okay. I mean, ish.

you mixed Taskmaster with SUper Skrull. The Skrull is the char with all the fantastic 4 powers
The Fight For Life one wasn't a dickish developer, he wasn't being paid. Quite frankly he was in the right.

"An Italian woman kidnapping King Kong"? Something is very wrong with that sentence.
"An Italian woman-kidnapping King Kong"
Nice use of the BBC 'Watchdog' theme during the Watch_Dogs segment. :)
At least they added Mega Man X to the roster. Mega Man was my favourite in the old arcade games.
I believe MvC 1 and 2 (maybe just two?) had classic Mega Man as a playable character. I can't remember what of the games X has been in.
I think he meant Zero in MvC3
Not sure if this was already mentioned, but in the MVC3 part, I would imagine it would make more sense of Super Skrull being more of the Fantastic Four replacement than Taskmaster. I mean, he pretty much uses all the powers of the FF minus invisible woman.
He can use hers, too, he's just too egotistical and possibly misogynist.
Automatic thumb up for having: Black, Resident Evil 4, God of War 2, and Cold Fear featured in the intro. All great games. Pretty good vid too!
I was hoping they'd do a reboot of Cold Fear as there's an easter egg of it in Watch Dogs.
One day you NEED to bring Peter on this show as a guest
Then have a follow up video
"5 Times Peter Molyneux was rude to me in the last video"
What, no Takeshi's Challenge?
ThePreciseClimber That's porposly made insanely difficult and unfair, hence the name "challenge"

(To Retro Plus) Or the Fact Takeshi Kitano hates Video Games and he wanted to make the game Frustrating as posible.
Or Maybe Both.

I think the intent of this list was games that were supposed to be good, but were sabotaged. Takeshi's Challenge was made exactly the way it was originally intended to be. :-D
Thank you so much for the "Look Around You" reference.
I think you're the first person to notice that :D
THANTS!
I noted it down in my copybook.
has Marvel and Capcom really not tried to integrate stories together, so that Japan has a whole host of "superheros" of their own, that Marvel can pull from at some point, like having the S.T.A.R.S. members a part of SHIELD or something, how badass would it be if Dante teamed up with Wolverine against the Silver Samuri
Deals to share control of characters almost never end well. That's why we'll never get a new Roger Rabbit, why MC3 was pulled from shelves, and is the reason the Spider-man movie situation is such a mess.
most of what Capcom does is make the games, the DMC anime was made by an anime company that owns the rights to it, the light novels were made by a company that makes light novels, and if there were a manga for it that would be made by a manga company, and if they were to make a live action story that would be yet a different company, as far as movies go its exactly the same way, you think Marvels legal situation is a huge mess, Capcom is relatively simple, they make a game with characters, then sell the rights of that character in any other form of media to dozens of different companies, thats why Death Notes manga is put out by Shonin Jump, the anime is produced by Madhouse, there are video games by Konami, and the new live action film will be made by Netflix
no the reason we wont get a new Roger is because the script sucks
Calm down flamelord, seriously calm down and think. Why would he specifically say script to address an entire movie as being bad? Think fucker.
"Not anytime soon"
well.... That was euphorically foresight filled.

Is that the planned crossover episode with "Will it Fit"?
Taskmaster has nothing to do with the Fantastic Four - you meant Super-Skrull.
He said task master in lieu of fantastic 4 as in he knows they aren’t related but marvel claimed it was cheaper to use him rather than fantastic 4 but it was actually a legal issue

8:38 He's not Spanish, he's Egyptian!
And calling Christopher Lambert American although technically correct is a bit of a stretch because he left the US when he was 2 to live in Europe.
Wow some of these are shady af
Pretty surprised to see MvC: Infinite taking the #1 spot at first since it hasn't been officially released yet but, when I heard the reasoning, I definitely can understand. Might be a blessing in disguise for some fans though; Doom's hidden missiles and footdive shenanigans lol
Side-note, I'm still planning on getting it day 1 after playing the demo and seeing it in person at a major. Please let Asura be in it...
LeonHartEX The combat is shit anyways
Bink it's really not. I get the animosity towards Capcom and honestly they do deserve it but, after playing the demo and at CEO, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Also, people need to respect the pipe from Haggar heh.
Donkey Kong wasn't the only victim of the "purposely made to look bad" treatment on the Atari 2600 - Mattel did pretty much the same thing with the BurgerTime (to make their Intellivision look better)!
Thank you for the subtitles. Putting in the extra work for people who need them
Top marks for using the theme tune to the BBC show Watchdog for the Watchdogs part. Took me way to long to get it
I actually really like that we got Taskmaster and Super Skrull in MvC3. I feel like they were two of the best parts of the game.

Taskmaster? Pardon? Don't you mean Super Skrull? Because IIRC, that's the one character that uses the Fantastic Four powers in one single slot.
There's one thing I'll give credit to Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite.
It actually has Megaman.
Several months later from this video Disney now owns Fox...

Mighty number nine was made in 48 hours for easy cash confirmed
I don't think the removal of the X-Men counts as being terrible.
I bet when Capcom saw the trailer for Dragon Ball Fighter Z they were thinking "Oh crap we're screwed"

Thank you for speaking truth about watch dogs 2.
I'm sure this has been said but PC gaming is way more successful than your script implies. I like your work Larry but PC game sales continue to increase dramatically every year.
EscapeRouteBritish Damn fucking straight.
Jack Mcslay
Woah what sort of an argument is that?
$100 on PC shovel Ware?
Sorry, coming from the same people who always buy COD on consoles?
When a ton of people bought Goat Simulator don't tell me PC gamers aren't shovelware-happy.
"Oh look a steam sale with a bunch of lazy-ass games I barely know anything about! Buy!!"
MvC:I shouldn't be here since
A) it's not even out
B) it's still being revamped.
Well, this hasn't aged well. The PC Game market is now bigger than the console game market.

He was born in New York because his father was a French diplomat who worked at the UN. They moved to Geneva when he was 2, then to France when he was 16. Lambert served in the French military and holds French citizenship. So yes, he is American. /s
Yup, he was born in the US, he has since adopted dual French nationality though.
The House Always Wins just like Mel Gibson, who's an American by birth, but grew up as an Aussie.
Christopher Lambert’s Father was French Jewish. Also, Chris Played a generally solemn version of Tarzan in Greystoke!
@@SlapstickGenius23 Jewish is not a nationality.
the intro was great because you're talking about devs making their games terrible and almost all of the games shown in the intro are fantastic / some of the highest rated games of all time
Wasn't one of the excuses given for removing the X-Men and Deadpool from MvCI that "nobody remembers them?"
“nobody remembers them”
Deadpool and Logan are 2 of the most popular movies ever
The war between Fox and Disney continues.
Super-Skrull was the character that replaced Johnny Storm of FF, not Tasky. Was this one of your bait info?
No, that was me being an idiot, I looked it up initally and Task can copy other people's powers too, so I thought it was right. but I saw skrull, I'll re-edit this soon.
I guess you didn't pay attention to the fact that the royalties would have literally bankrupt Ocean.
MegamanNG You make a great point on #5. Speaking of which, I saw Spider-Man Homecoming last Saturday and of course it was awesome.
@Ash Cash: Ocean eventually did go out of business, but the company never truly went away. It's now part of Infrogrames, the same company that owns the Atari name nowadays.
Wow. I need to check it out.
MegamanNG I
"... Americans pretenting to be Scottish..." Christopher Lambert is French, so he's a Frenchman pretending to be Scottish. Same funny, different brand.
"... and Scottsmen pretending to be Spaniards!" 'I'm not Spanish, I'm Egyptian!'
"X released an unfinished build so they wouldn't have to pay the developer." Sounds like Soul Calibur 5... Though at least that one played well.
"Thanks, Capcom! ... Crapcom." Fun fact: Monster Hunter Tri's online chat had a notoriously wonky profanity filter, but do you know what WASN'T blocked by it? 'Crapcom'.
You are my favorite British UA-cam's channel! S2
