EASIEST (and FREE) Way To Keep Up With Your Reptiles | Herpfiles

- Good Morning, Reptilians! Let’s talk about my new favorite thing in reptile keeping. So far so good as far as me keeping up with it.
I CAN’T BELIEVE I FORGOT TO MENTION!!! This app has to-do lists and reminders. You can set it up to remind you to do things. How cool is that for those of us who have awful memories… me. I’m talking about me. And to-do lists are my go to for every day anything, so it’s nice to have a place to make those here, too.
*Tip from the developer* If you make sure to always put in a number for feeder count (I’ve just been using “1” for salads/gecko food), it’ll turn the little dots on your graphs green, and then if you leave the feeder count blank, it’ll turn the dots red. So that can be used as an “ate” vs “didn’t eat”. You can also click the little dots to go back and edit that feeding instance. 🥰

This app looks cool I’m going to give it a try. I was looking for an app like this a little while ago but couldn’t find anything. I got tired of my binder so I ended up creating a Google Sheets Workbook. I put a nfc tag on each enclosure & fish tank. Each tag is linked to the animal’s individual worksheet within the Google Sheets Workbook.
It’s like a breath of fresh air to look at a good enclosure

I use a old recipe file and index cards works great for me. I just keep in reptile room. If something goes wrong with your phone then you lose that info but not my card file.

Elle, I love your videos, but I think this might actually count as a sponsorship. If you have your own promo-code, I'm assuming you get a small kickback anytime someone signs up with your code. That means you are getting monetary compensation out of the deal. (My apologies if my assumption is wrong and you are not getting a kickback.) So saying it's "not sponsored" when you have your own promo-code and get compensated when someone uses it still counts as a sponsorship, even if that money only comes after the video is released.

What a cool app. I’ve only got 3 Ball Pythons so it’s pretty easy to keep track of them but this will be really useful if you have a lot of reptiles for sure.
I don't know if I could keep as many animals as I do without an app! Lol access to to care guides is really cool. I currently use exotikeeper. And I love it! I'll check this one out too!

@EllesReptiles mine gives notifications that I set. So I don't miss feedings or cleanings. Lol 😆

i house three blotched blue tongue lizards in one indoor enclosure.
two of them were born in captivity and have shared their whole life (even before i got them) and the third i've had with them for a year, ive had the first two for just under 3 years and the third just over a year and never had any issues.
but recently i have been reading up on shared housing and EVERYTHING says not to do it..
but i don't really have room to seperate them, is it irresponsible of me to continue keeping them together?
should i work out how to split them up? the last thing i want is for them to be unsafe...
again, i haven't had any issues yet

I have a question. I'm getting a bearded dragon, and I wanted to know if I can use salt clay to build a hideout and a basking platform? Is it safe for a bearded dragon?
I tried it and didn't see a way to track my gecko's weight. I ended up putting the weight in measurements, but it says it's inches instead of grams. So it says my gecko is 3.5 inches instead of grams. My gecko is a tiny hatchling. lol
does it send reminders for things? I currently use my calendar to send me reminders on when to trim nails and when to give medications, and I could see it being useful for snakes who only eat once every couple weeks too
It does! It's a toggle option under the feeding section. I haven't used it, because I'm really bad about turning a reminder off, and then not knowing if I turned it off because I did it, or because i planned to do it 😅😅😅 but it does have the option haha
