Take a bow-this is the most informative and straightforward review I've seen for this watch, without any marketing fluff. It checked all the boxes for me, and I ordered one after watching it. I hope my experience is as positive as yours!
@@thatgearguy Chopping wood and shooting .50Cal's, etc not high G's!? After what I heard you say though, I too am considering the mechanical, which is considerably more expensive than the quartz. I also have a Bertucci Retroform (review on here) which I love. It has 100m of WR. It has a beautifully high domed plexi-crystal, sterile dial and USA made metal movement, similar to this Marathon (3 jewels). Has a 22mm strap. There are 3 variants. I picked the drab olive. But its 40mm, which you may not like. Thank you for the review.
@@St.CrispinsDayGLORY hmmm never really thought about that. I guess they probably are high G or at least high impact. It certainly held up without issue and it saw a hell of a lot of .50cal!
@@thatgearguy Thanks! I went for the sage green U.S. Army version (recently discontinued). Although I preferred black, I heard sage green looks darker in lower light, which sealed the deal. Tritium second is an uncommon and nice feature also. There were 3 new ones left and I was lucky to get one at 40% off, which never happens to me! Cheers!👍

Thanks!!
Yes! Thanks for making this. Excited to see a long term wear.
Thanks pal.
Been looking for that watch used. You can throw that into a seiko skx type case and make it look like a gsar for cheap.
I just ordered the Quartz version⌚👀
Good?
@@asyjiin Very Good.. I highly recommend it⌚💰👍👍
Just wondering why you chose the mechanical over the quartz, if you intended exposing it to high G-forces?
I didnt intend exposing it to high G Forces.

@@thatgearguy Great! Thanks, Mate. I ordered. I went for the same as yours, NGM dial and automatic. Let us know what you end up getting next.
Trying to decide between yours and the sage-green U.S. Army mechanical verson, which also has Tritium on the second hand. What do you think?
Sage green!
