- hiii! here's a realistic work day in my life as a search, digital marketing manager in the office, based in nyc. it was a pretty productive day for me, lots of meetings with clients and internal teams, and time to get work done during the 9-5 work period.
I've been actively working on learning (again) how to take proper breaks during busy work days. Something I've always struggled with is forgetting to take care of myself, and my health at work, or in any stressful situations really. But I'm always reminding myself daily that I come first, before anything else

Inspirational, do you have any tips on how to prepare for a marketing job interview
Thank you 😊 definitely do some research on the company & look up some questions on Google on what they may ask based on the role you applied for! Check out the companies Glassdoor page, you may be able to find some questions the hiring team may ask you.
A good question I typically like to master is “tell me about yourself” - I feel like this is like your elevator pitch! I also like to jot down some examples on 1) team collaboration 2) challenges & what was the solution 3) time management & organization 4) soft skills questions (you can prob look some up on Google!) 5) depending on your role you applied for they may ask you some technical skills questions. Make sure to always have examples based on your experiences to back up your answers bc they love to hear about your impact in your previous roles, and what you can bring to the team here. How can one become what you do? I’m currently working on a certificate program and I have a bachelor degree in business from 2018.
hi! here’s what I would recommend
if you’re interested in what I do specifically (SEO). Look into seo/digital marketing internships, even if it’s unpaid for a short period of time. It can teach you basic skills/ fundamentals and help build your resume. Theres also free Google certifications you can take (and watch videos about SEO if you feel like you need to learn more).
As “projects”, you can choose a few websites of your choice (I recommend e-commerce, B2B, healthcare, finance brands) and provide SEO recommendations on how you can improve the brands’ website performance (this can be done on separate PowerPoints). There are also free tools you can use for keyword research such as Google keyword planner. When given a chance during an interview, you can showcase these projects :). Everything here can be included on your resume!
Lastly, when interviewing for jobs, always phrase your responses in a way where you can bring value to the team & how you’re willing to learn. Best of luck ✨✨

hey :) sorry for the delayed response! I think It would depend on if you have your bachelors in a similiar field? I do have my bachelors in digital marketing, which is why I feel like it’s not worth for myself to get my masters, however if you’re trying to break into this field (and you already have bachelors in another major), I think it may be worth it for you to explore getting your masters! You may also find value in it!
I would say def do some research in what you want to do specifically in digital marketing before committing to your masters! Maybe something you can consider before applying to a masters programs are online courses (to see what digital marketing is like before committing). Internships may also be something you can look into to gauge what it is that you like/ want to do in digital marketing.
I’ve also heard from coworkers who have completely different bachelors such as psychology, English, sociology, political science who are currently working digital marketing jobs. Hope that helps!! And good luck ✨
