- hiii ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ welcome back to an office work vlog in nyc! this will be my last work vlog for a little while.. ;) i quit my corporate 9-5 marketing job with no job lined up -- i'm scared but also really excited!
in today's day in the life vlog, i'll be taking you through my last day working in as a digital marketing manager in new york city. it is my last office day, so i spent the day wrapping up working, connecting with coworkers, taking advantage of the office space while i still can.
i've spent the last year contemplating if i should take this career break for myself and i thought now would be the perfect time to do so! there were many reasons went behind my decision to quit my 9-5 job, but as a burnt out, unhappy, unfulfilled millennial i've decided to prioritize myself and im really excited for this new chapter in my life (more to come in my next vlog!!)

You have NO IDEA how much I needed this. I am in the exact same boat in life right now ; 30 years old, burnt out and it's now affecting my mental and physical well being. I'm just perpetually drained and life just seems to have lost its colours. I know it's time to let go of my 9 to 5 but as always my crippling anxiety mixed with adhd makes me overthink and go into a spiral of doubt. Listening to your story made me realise that I'm not alone and seeing you take this bold step just made me feel soo much at ease. Hopefully, I'll have the guts to quit soon and I hope I'll feel the same excitement for the future as you :)

can i ask how are going to pay for rent food etc ? how much do you have saved up for the break just wondering please ?
savings! i have about 9-10 months of fixed monthly expenses/food saved for my break. i always overestimate expenses this way it gives myself some cushion. hope that was helpful :)
