It only lasted me 2 weeks and that's without using it every day. But that's my luck. I didn't get a chance to return it so a few months later I was cleaning up and I was about to throw it away. So I decided to take it apart and I found 2 of the chips wore deformed on the bord. So I'm like what the hack i removed the bord and wired it directly to the switch and motor with an 18v milwaukee battery. I thought it would burn it out. But instead I've been using it very often and it's got more power but the 2 downsides are no speed control and i have to be careful not to hold down the trigger if it doesn't have the power to brake something loose cause i will definitely burn out the motor or catch fire lol but I love it now and I don't mind the long wire connected to my Milwaukee battery.
@@transam8607 Dude that's awesome. I have an old pistol style craftsman electric screwdriver that I keep saying I am going to do something similar with.
@Pat Clark-Barnes just make sure it will handle the voltage or be like me f***** 12v and I was using an 18v Milwaukee battery it was like supercharged but it lasted 2 years and I didn't worry about the battery dying out on me for a very long time between charges and having a wire on the tool power by a battery it's not bad at all. It beats an extention cord. Plus it will make you feel better modifying it and giving it more power. You will appreciate the tool alot more just try to get it right or go with experiments on it if you don't care to much about it.
iam happy with my husky rachet it does the job for me i had it for a month and been using on working on transmission i cant complain i love the price on this thing realy cheap.i was gonna buy ac delco but they cost more.and forget about millwaukee it cost 2hundred bucks.
@@patcb829 100 is crazy. I mean it ain’t bad at all but definitely I wouldn’t pay that I’m sure they will go on sale again so I would snag them there. I’m glad it’s holding up for you though 👍
Thanks Dan, I just don't think it sold very well. There are so many other companies that offer far better cordless ratchets, especially if you are already in their battery platform.
@@DadBradTo5 Unfortunately I don't know where the receipt is but its probably very close to the two year mark. Would they still honor the exchange without it?
@@eoll6322 Sorry, to hear that mine is still running strong at year four. Wonder if you had any luck trying to warranty it? I don't remember if there was a product registration for it
Finally someone who as actually used the tool and used it long term to know if it works and last. Thank you!
Thank you.

Keep these coming, great review, you've made me want to buy this set... like I need another one! I like you actually show it and that's awesome.
It is definitely in the want category, definitely not a need. Thanks for stopping by.

For the price it is hard to beat. I have had very good luck with my Husky tools and they seem to be a good value.
Where can I get the same one in a kit..just got mine today just th tool with case and charger
My ratchet is still holding strong, unfortunately it looks like they discontinued the kit. Maybe you can find one on the used market.
It’s beefy but I had it and thought it worked great. 50$ is a steal I think they are actually up to 80$ now
Yeah it still running strong. I believe it is over $100 now which is kind of crazy.

Love your video man hoping I get one of these today but I feel like it’s weak
Thank you Arian, it basically has 1/4” power in a 3/8" drive and size unit.
i agree about the usb
File your switch a little bro for comfort. I have this and let's face it this things no joke!
That's a good idea. Thanks for the tip.
Nice to see some vids! Keep them coming! I was hoping to see more Husky cordless this year after seeing that.. I guess that’s it for now.. nice vid!👍👍

Pat Clark-Barnes could still be a good clean one to have at work for car interior work.. to bad it’s a 3/8..
@@AutobahnDan When I first got it a number of people compared it to the gen1 Milwaukee. Unfortunately, it is a lot bigger than it looks.
Used it once to remove gas tank bolts and that was all I got out of it. Tool is completely dead. Anyone know how to replace the battery in this thing?
Your tool has a 2 year warranty, so if its still within that period, you can return it to Home Depot for an exchange. Hope this helps!

@@patcb829 No registration from what I remember. Never did try to exchange it since I didn't have the receipt for it unfortunately.
