Hiya Natasha! Yeay! What have you got to try? and Thank you so much for giving our clever little bars a try and for joining us on our mission to #giveupthebottle, 💚🌏~Eleanor
Soap can be found in some Shampoo Bars, but not ours! Soap is a really good at cleaning, but it does have one serious drawback. True soap is really alkaline - it simply cannot hold its structure below a pH of about 9. While most people’s skin copes with that ok (for which you can thank the acid mantle), your hair won’t! If you'd like to learn more about this, we have a great blog on this topic: ethique.com/blogs/science/what-is-soap 💚 ~ Georgia
Great question! We've recently changed some of our bar shapes to make them easier to identify: Shampoo bars: remain unchanged in their iconic, practical square shape. Conditioner bars: now a sleek, circular shape. The rounded edges also mean the bar are thicker to remain the same weight, which helps your bar last even longer without breaking. Prior to the shape change the easier was to identify between the Shampoo and Conditioner bar was their size - Shampoo bars are 110g vs 60g for the conditioner. Hope this helps but please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions! ~Kate
It sure it does! We have a great blog on everything you need to know about solid shampoos, I'd recommend checking out here: ethique.com/blogs/ethique-products/everything-you-need-to-know-about-solid-shampoo-bars We also have 40,000 5 start reviews, you can check these out on our website! 💚~ Georgia
While our bars may seem expensive at the get-go; in the long run, they really aren’t. Our conditioners last 6 months on average, with some customers saying theirs last a year! We are also focused on many other areas besides being plastic free. We use only biodegradable, palm oil free, naturally derived and responsibly sourced ingredients which can be up to 15x more expensive than its counterparts. For example, using palm isn’t an option for us, so we use alternatives, which can be 8-15 times more expensive. And as one of the highest-rated BCorps in the world, we are focused on the people also, we are also living wage employers and ensure that our suppliers are fairly paid for their goods. This can't be said for all shampoo bar makers. You can find out more on our pricing transparency page: ethiqueworld.com/pages/pricing-transparency We also donate 2% of our annual sales to charity. Hope this helps but please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions or concerns! ~Meg

Question, how do you tell the difference between your shampoo and conditioner and shave cream bars
Great question! We've recently changed some of our bar shapes to make them easier to identify:

The liquid shampoo is essentially the same, but with 60% water and packaged in a plastic bottle.
What ph should shampoo bars be?
yes!!!! They last way longer than liquid shampoo and are amazing quality + better for environment 💚
each batch varies but generally between 4 and 6, which is perfect for hair!
Leave the shampoo bar but kinda expensive
