They also just came out with purple shampoo and conditioner. It worked so well on my hair to tone the brassiness. Their products are also great for travel. Love Kitsch
I got an ad for these shampoo and conditioner bars but I was a bit confused as to how it was supposed to be used and if they actually worked. I love the way you two talked about the product after using it for a while and not just once or twice, because that's so much more realistic, plus you are both so charismatic I felt like I was chatting with friends ❤❤
Girls, I know this video is almost half a year old, but you have convinced me to try this! I got a sampler pack with the shower caddy and a sensitive scalp bar and conditioner along with a discount code, so now I will have to camp out at my local PO and stalk the nice people who work for the US Mail until my order comes in! Sooooooo excited! Thanks!
@@sweetbeep So I tried it-it was ok. I don’t know that Inwill reorder, though. It was a little messier than I thought and there is something in it that my scalp hates. That was what turned me off from it.
Along with the kitsch rice water shampoo and conditioner, I also use ginger root juice on my scalp which is supposed to promote better circulation and more hair growth. I’ll also use aloe Vera gel on my scalp for moisture, especially in the winter months when the air is drier.
I tend to wash my hair every other day. After 3 washes, my scalp is super itchy. I can’t stop scratching my head. I was excited for the concept of a bar shampoo, but for me, I’m returning my Kitsch bar.
Ive been using shampoo and conditioner bars for years, there are some great brands out there! Another REALLY good brand to check out is B.O.B (Bars Over Bottles)
Thank you both for being very informative on how to shampoo & condition my hair. I just bought these and really didn't know if I was doing it right. Thanks to you both, now I do! Aloha!
I use the Viori shampoo & conditioner bars & I love them. Once you get used to using them, it becomes more natural. I have very short hair so mine lasts me a very long time. Here's a tip for the conditioner bar, use it from edge to edge and it will last much longer 😉
❤love the dual honest review. I saw a promo on my Shop app for Kitsch and instantly searched for a review thank goodness yours popped up at the top. I’m definitely going to try this and purchase for stocking stuffers. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for making this video! I kept seeing the ads for this product and wanted to know if it was worth it or not. Y’all’s video definitely helped! Especially since I have thin fine hair like Cheryl does! Thanks again ladies! Im definitely going to subscribe to your channel!!!
I would like to know if it actually strengthens your hair or thickens it ?? My hair has been thinning and I really wanted to know if rice water helps or it’s just a social media hype.
Your review seemed really genuine...so, you talked me into trying it. I lov that they're 100% vegan. You both come across as pleasant and not too giggly/goofy as some women reviewers get. Good review 👍
You girls have the most beautiful eyes. 🤩 Stacey I think you needed the more moisturizing conditioner. That one wasn’t the best choice. It is for strength.
Thanks for your review. Have you ladies heard of Ethique? It is a woman owned company that makes sustainable items from shampoo bars and concentrates to deodorant to lipstick.
I ordered the tea tree mint shampoo bar and coconut conditioning bar at the same time I bought the no-heat curl system after watching your review of it. Still haven’t tried the no-heat roller but am really liking the bars and they do last a long time! It was a different application method but not difficult. I’ll be a return customer on these. Thanks for the reviews ladies!
@shannonhenson3221 Hi! It’s Stacey. Yes we do! I am actually using the castor oil shampoo and coconut oil conditioner. They work really well in my dry hair!
I've had the same issue. I've been using the rice water protein bars for 3 weeks and I'm still seeing alot of hair in the drain. I think it's time to try something new.
I use a cleansing conditioner instead of shampoo and conditioner and it has saved my hair! But I have unusual hair- type 3c and 4a curls , almost all white, and very dry and breakable with knots like crazy. My daughter has the opposite hair - fine, thin, limp and oily. She got her dad's hair. Sigh. A blend of us two would have been nice for her, but I digress. She also co- washes and has found her hair is much happier than it was. More bouncy and lift, less oil, and less scalp breakouts. Maybe it would be worth trying for you ladies. I liked hearing about the bars though. I used bars years ago and it was a disaster! These seem to be improved.
Hey Ronda!! It's Cheryl. We'll have to give that a try! Do you have a favorite brand? P.S. one of my sons got my fine, flat hair. My other son has thick glorious curls!! We don't know where he got it because my husband doesn't have that hair type either! LOLOL!! Thanks for the comment!❤
I think the shampoo bars from years ago were either saponified oils like a bar soap or strong sulfates like some of Lushs bars ( fabulous for very oily hair). One thing about cowashes is people must clarify every two weeks or what ever works for them. I think the hair loss claims had mostly to do with the scalp clogging up and hair giving up the ghost which is not uncommon with cowashes they are finding. I’m scouring for a dupe for Hair Story’s New wash. It works so well but so far nothing is like it not even cowashes. 😔 it is even more expensive then WEN. I enjoyed WEN in the past. Especially all the different flavors.
I’d like to know how you would use this when doing a hot oil treatment. I normally add my liquid shampoo to my dry hair first. I like the concept of natural and less waste though.
I wish you would’ve shown how the products actually worked on your hair. I tried a bar shampoo/conditioner years ago. It still sits in my cupboard. My hair did not feel clean-it felt like it had residue in it (I have a water softener,so hard water is t the reason). What exactly are the ingredients in these? What is it that makes them a solid bar? I feel like that’s the stuff that makes my hair feel yucky. Wish you’d review other brands-I keep seeing Humby popping up in my FB feed. I’ve been using Olaplex for the past several months. I like it,but it’s $$$ and Ive been hearing people say it makes their hair fall out. I do lose quite a bit of hair when I wash it,but I only shampoo once a week (my hair is very dry and below my butt and such a pain to wash/condition/comb) so I think I’m getting 7 days worth of fallout at once. I dont know, I’m still not completely sold on the new shampoo bars…,
Hi! Cheryl here. I haven't used the conditioner as a leave in because I have very fine hair and leave in conditioners tend to weigh my hair down. Rinsing out the conditioner worked for my hair type.
I don’t get how these are supposed to last for 100 washes. I’ve had them for a month and they’re already half way to 2/3 of the way gone. I love the formula and it works great on my hair but it’s kind of pricey to have to buy this every 1.5 to 2 months.
I have been using a shampoo bar from Trader Joe's to find out if I liked it. I knew that there would be a learning curve, so I wanted to start with minimal investment. Did you find that the shampoo bars stopped hair loss or promoted hair growth?
@Liz-fw3xi No, we are not compensated by Kitsch. The review we provided was honest based on our experience. We would disclose if we were an affiliate and received a commission from this company.
I'm intrigued but seems like it would be messy. Plus I always spray my shower down with shower spray after and wouldn't want to get it on the bars or have to remove them after every shower ?
I keep mine in their shower caddy. I use a squeegee and then spray after every shower as well. I find the caddy easy to just remove and then clean the shower
Hi Bonnie! It's Cheryl. We have not found anything that works really well on hair loss. We're researching different products right now, but we haven't found anything yet. As soon as we try something, we'll do a video!
I’ve seen a big improvement after using the Rice Protein shampoo and conditioner bars. But it could also be related to a health issue. I’d recommend a visit to your Dr to discuss
Yes, pumpkin seed oil capsules or drops (must keep drops in fridge). I use NOW brand capsules off of Amazon. The drops can be found at Mom’s grocer or Whole Foods refrigerated. Capsules work great and are big, but easy to take.
biotin, rosemary oil, vitamin ( zinc and vitamin b , d, c , selenium… ) eat eggs, dont over wash. use a fungal shampoo for dry scalp sometimes hair loss is because of that
I just LOVE love the shampoo and conditioner bars, BUT!!! I don’t like the new packaging. It breaks half, I’m wasting more shampoo and conditioner because of the design. It breaks if you drop after 1/2 thru the bar. It gets weak at the mid s shape and breaks. Bring back the round whole hockey puck bar of shampoo!!!! I’m tired of wasting shampoo!!!
Hi Gina! Cheryl here! It's really not that much effort -- maybe we made it sound more complicated than it is! LOLOLOL. You can rinse the conditioner right away, if you choose. Stacey found that leaving on for 5 minutes worked for her hair type. I left it on from 2-5 minutes, which is what I do with any conditioner. Thank you for the comment!!❤
I have the bars too and it’s not a lot of work - just a little different the first time or two because we’re all so used to liquid in a bottle. I concur with 2AG - the bars are great!
I bought these two bars (and shave bar) before seeing this review. Love the results. My hair is smooth and has no buildup. Smell’s good and yes, I did leave the conditioner on while shaving for about 5 mins. I have the satin no heat roller for waves/curlers and will try this weekend :)
No these DONT WORK! Tried for a month and my hair was dryer than when I used my Aveda shampoo and conditioner. It would be nice to see real honest reviews.
This is such a rude comment. Like the lady above me said. Just because it didn't work for you doesn't mean it didn't work for them. Everyone's hair is different. It may not have worked because you didn't apply it right or leave it in long enough. Either way it was unnecessary for you to essentially call their video a lie.
What I find most amazing is that the shampoo and conditioning bars get used up at the same rate, that never happens with the bottles 😂
@Kim Villasenor 😂😂 Great point!!!!
I think it really depends on the conditioner bars, they are meant to be used up slower
Do you have to do the vinegar rinse thing??
I tend to use more of the shampoo than conditioner. But that’s my personal preference
They also just came out with purple shampoo and conditioner. It worked so well on my hair to tone the brassiness. Their products are also great for travel. Love Kitsch
@michelemoline5984 We love that they came out with this!!

There seem to be a lot of mixed opinions on this subject. For some people it works, some it doesn't 🤷🏼♀️ might be a genetic thing

When it says "hair growth" does that mean it would help bald men?
Definitely does Not last 100 washes !! Although I do like the conditioner 😊 I will still look around & shop around.

They're not really messy. As a suggestion, you could keep them in travel soap containers in your shower keeping them safe from the shower spray.
I keep mine in their shower caddy. I use a squeegee and then spray after every shower as well. I find the caddy easy to just remove and then clean the shower
Viori sells really cute stackable bamboo holders that might work well for you. They look like steamers for dumplings
Not supposed to rub the bar on your hair in circles but you just paint in one direction on top and underneath.
I bought both for £4 don't understand the cost everything comes from china haven't tried yet
What is the ph level?
Natural fragrances from plants are horrendous for me and many other people. They trigger both allergic contact dermatitis and eczema.
