Indeed! Brilliant and beautiful technique! It's been my pleasure to be her teaching colleague this year at the University of Oklahoma. Beautiful voice and wonderful colleague.

More Linda on UA-cam, please! Someone would do a new generation of Wagnerians a favour if they could but put up the Liebestod from the Decca WNO/Goodall recording. Still the most overwhelming version I've ever heard. And I've been pleading for ages for someone to reissue the Proms performance of the Wesendonck Lieder with Haitink. She only has a cassette with loads of radio interference.
More is to be found on Linda's website.

A truly great singer! Her Isolde is quite something else - One of the greats of all time.

I fell in love with that sound the first time I heard it as Isolde on the Goodall/Decca recording. Isolde's Narration and Curse is hair-raising, then meltingly beautiful and finally heroic. Though the career was relatively short, she showed her greatness from the very start.
