I've been wanting to make this video for a while and am so glad I finally had the time to do it! It addresses a lot of the FAQs I've been getting but, of course, I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have. If you don't already know, I've been streaming my solo attempts at playing Elden Ring with harp here: www.twitch.tv/lettuce4dayz. For the next few Mondays, I'll also be co-oping the game with CZR_drums so we can beat some ER enemies duet style (harp+drums). Watch our band practice at multitwitch.tv/czr_drums/lettuce4dayz.
Thank you! While setting up the hardware and the controls within Bome were up to me, I did watch another video by ThioJoeTech about turning a guitar into a controller that gave software recommendations.
This thing takes dedication, determination and a minor loss of sanity. I would surely love to do something similar with my piano, the only thing I am missing is a pc and skill with wires. Exellent work!
Just remembered that boss fight I saw and came back to find you did a bts video! So detailed as well, that dedication, simply awesome! Hope this gets way more than 370 views as of now. Keep it up, that's impressive and fun stuff!
Thank you! It's so interesting because everyone I've met who's tried playing games with an instrument controller has a slightly different setup and control scheme. I'm glad you appreciate the effort!
Hey Anna, this is so awesome! We are actually developing a game that you can play with your real instrument called Intervallic and I'd love your input. We have the midi input system working and we're currently working on putting pitch detection in so that you can play without any cables.
Hi. I searched video about komplete audio 6 interface. 😂. And what I just watched? Using interface to create a controller from harp. 😅 This is insane. But I watched till the end. And maybe I will buy this interface😊
@@AnnaEllsworthMusic I just bought one used 😅. I will use just for listening to music. 😅. But who knows, maybe it will take me to something unusual too😄
I didn't realise there was a harp bow, ill check that out, thanks. Edit: I found it, its really cool, it even makes as twang noise when you fire it, thanks.
Hi Anna, I think there’s a way to avoid adding the delay by ticking “emulate keystrokes slowly”. When I set up my e-drum kit as a controller I followed this tutorial ua-cam.com/video/EqOI9xvJrF0/v-deo.html and I didn’t get the same input lag that I got when I followed your tutorial. I hope this helps. And I love what you’re doing btw!
Thank you! Hmm, interesting...you mean to leave Emulate Keystrokes Slowly unchecked? I do have it checked for most of the commands except for one; I think it was because my character wouldn't perform the action unless I checked them. But also, it's been a little while since I've set everything up (and after the initial setup, I wanted to leave Bome alone so it wouldn't get messed up), so I'm sure things could use some refining. I actually know CZR (person who made that tutorial), so maybe I'll ask him about it. In any case, thank you for the idea and that's super cool that you're trying something similar!
"walking requires the most translators" that's what I was thinking when I commented on the other vid. Thx for responding so fast you're awesome! When can we expect the speedrun? 🫡
Yeah, it definitely took me the longest to find a good way to move around! For my very, very first time doing this (DS1 tutorial), I'm pretty sure I only gave myself the ability to walk forward. In any case, I might have to leave an actual speedrun to another harpist 😅 It's been difficult enough doing it at my own pace

That's incredibly technical - and it is wonderful to see a person who is a musician and have a engineer mentality as well. Keep it up! :)

Artistic and Scientific mind mixed to create magic 🪄
This has got to be the most expensive controller ever. 🤣
Glad that there are people like you to do fascinating things like this.
Haha yep, there's no way I'm accidentally breaking this controller if I rage!
new challenge : beat elden rings and all the souls series using a triangle
That's how Miyazaki intended the games to be played
Finally, the Electric Triangle
@@Happy_Wanderer- Not really what the world needs but maybe what we deserve
No, beat it using a singular rock, bang it on the floor to get the pitch, the title can be, elden ring but I made it fucking impossible to play
This is what I've been looking for, thank you for such an excellent tutorial and demonstration of this unique setup!! 😎

Thank you! Maybe there's a piano run in your future...I actually think there are a good number of benefits to doing this with piano rather than harp.
Underated UA-camr! How is this not viral
Thanks for watching 😄🎶

You are very talented & intelligent! I hope to see more of your vids, keep it up.
Aw, thanks so much!

Hey! Sorry, I just saw this. Send me a message on my website: annaellsworthmusic.com
Great! Now I just need a lyon and healy style 100
Hahaha sorry, I got you stuck on the first step
Hi. I searched video about komplete audio 6 interface. 😂. And what I just watched? Using interface to create a controller from harp. 😅 This is insane. But I watched till the end. And maybe I will buy this interface😊
Haha it does get the job done!
@@AnnaEllsworthMusic I just bought one used 😅. I will use just for listening to music. 😅. But who knows, maybe it will take me to something unusual too😄
You have a magical mind.
Very Cool!
We want the full harp let's play now
description: oh yeah this is about Skyrim!
good job youtube
Infamous youtube algorithm hard at work as always 😅
This is really cool, I play the harp, and I also play elden ring, although unlike you I don't play them at the same time
Oh nice! I bet you were excited too when you found out about the harp bow in the game.

Wow
Elden ring symphony boss fight with a bunch of people playing the game when?
Czr_drums and I are planning on something kind of like this! We're going to stream some of the game with me on harp and him on drums.

Dude I can’t even beat souls games with a regular controller
Don't give up, skeleton!
Why don’t you just use a controller, then re-record with a harp. Then you don’t have to use the harp while playing the game, but you gain the fame.
sounds extremely boring
