- Professional logo design Illustrator tutorial. Tom with Satori Graphics back with another graphic design Illustrator tutorial; today we make a logo design in this Illustrator tutorial using circles as guides for logo designing. I did upload a logo design tutorial where we used circles last week, and that was the first episode of this miniseries of more logo design tutorials to come. Today however, this professional logo design tutorial is a little more advanced that the first episode, but I still make the logo design fairly straight forward to make with the method of my Illustrator tutorial. So follow along with Satori Graphics and create this professional contemporary logo design yourself using Illustrator.
If you do enjoy this miniseries where I show you how to design logos in Illustrator using logos, let me know and I will keep the series going. I do have a lot of experience with making logo designs as I am myself a professional logo designer, with nearly 10 years of practical experience within the industry. With my knowledge and experience, I try to bring to you guys helpful graphic design tutorials and seeing as being a logo maker is my forté many of my design tutorials are based around logo design.
Don’t be afraid of this logo design tutorial in Illustrator being 10 minutes long, it is pretty straight forward to follow in a step by step method. I would suggest that if you are a graphic designer with at least the most basic experience with Illustrator, you will be able to follow along with the design tutorial, and finish with your very own professional logo design. You can then use the tips and methods that I have shown in the tutorial for making your own original and unique logo design.
For this folded Illustrator logo design tutorial, you will be using tools and techniques such as:
The shape tools
Selection tools
Gradient tool
Guides
Align tool
Shape builder tool
Pen tool

Hy Satori graphics i really really like your tutorials and thanks alot for making them for all of us
I have a request can you make something which illustrate the meaning of spot light
Im a beginner in this field and have noo idea how can i make a logo which shows the meaning of spot light and clothing as well
Thanks in advance 😊😊
Hey sorry but that is a very specific tutorial. Do you mean spotlight as in a focal point, or do you mean literally a spotlight on the design?
I mean a spotlight on a design
Hello, great tutorial. Is there pre-made grids available for making logos? Thanks again?
I am professional logo Designer
satori, can you explain how can I do logo research to avoid it same design with others?
a good example of research would be to look at the colour schemes of logos in the relevant industry. So for example a pharmaceutical logo will most likely use greens, light blues and white. Also look at the use of logotype, are the logos pictorial, strictly typographic, or symbolic? The idea is not to rip off a logo of course, this is both immoral and will not benefit the client, and you need to make something original at the end of the day.
When you're deleting the weird anchor point anomalies I wish you had explained that clearer, I tried deleting them on my version and it's like they're never-ending; I have no idea what's going on lol.
Sometimes we mess it up when making the circles, atleast I did. It took me a little extra time, so I thought moving the main art to the side so I could delete the anomalies and it worked. But as far as I know, there isn't a straight up pattern for that, we just need to adapt and overcome those issues.
wow thanks a lot, but how that logo is when you need a monochrome version?, you know, just a black shape on a white paper, how could it be?
You would use black paper with a white logo, and then a very light grey gradient :)
hmmm i don't know, i'm not sure we are talking about the same thing, you're saying about gradients and i'm talking about monochrome, these are not compatible words, surely is a designer joke that i can't understand due my low design level xD
Oh you mean literally a flat design with no gradients. No I had just woken up and was bleary eye'd. The design would work as a flat monochrome design, but it does look better with gradients added, which does almost break one rule of logo design, in that a logo should work fine without gradients. I think it 'passes' as a design without gradients
thnx nd have fun with ur design passion
If your stroke starts acting funny, Select it, Convert stroke to outlines *object -> path -> outline stroke*. Helped me.
Yeah I think I missed putting that in as it makes sense! Cheers Grim :P
No harm done, keep up the good work! :)
cheers bro, I wil do!
in min 5 its does not fill the exact shape ? what the problem
Nicu
love the tutorial! perfect...keep it coming, but you do skip some minor points that some people may be confused....one thing is for sure ...u have totally confused me with the gradient method that you used, why not make life easier and use 100% opacity and the gradient tool ...i have used it and got the same results.
You can get the same results, but it is easier to use a 0% opacity on the far end because then the background colour merges into the gradient smoother. You can take the same colour as the background and add that to the side of the gradient you need to, but for me it is just easier to use a 0% opacity.
I will try to explain everything in more detail in the future, and there are many ways to achieve the same thing in Illustrator :)
Thank you great info..: )
Satori plz let me know at 4:56 how u did that stroke mine couldnt work like that
select the shape and press x i think if it doesnt work just turn this 01:32 to fill
@@qweren7920 It didnt work for me either.. :(
Me either didn't work
2 hours later... Lol thank you.
Hello there, thank you for this :)
but can u tell me how to make logo design in photshop cs6? as i dont know how to use illustrator :(
You should learn how to use adobe illustrator for logo design, because itt's a vector based program and it's way easier. photoshop is more for photo based edits
