I’ve been a musician for forty years, lead singer and bass player and grew up listening to all her music. I’ve had the pleasure of playing with some very talented people, and always focused on harmonies everything from the Eagles to CSN and everything in between. I’ve even done studio work with my vocals for ( at the time ) one of the largest Karaoke companies in the US and I have to say that Linda could sing the phone book and make it sound great. She is truly a natural and it shows in her sometimes very intermit vocals all the way to her aggressive rock & roll. She is without a doubt the Real Deal. Besides, I always thought she was drop dead gorgeous I am 66 years old and still do. God bless you Linda for your contribution to music, and society.
Wow, I could have written this.. (save the karaoke studio experience) a good bassist/lead singer/harmonies is a wonderful benefit.. do you have anything on UA-cam that I could check out?
She was sensational, bought her records and my next-door neighbour and I used to put them up during the day and then we got into it singing our lungs out, we were young and loved her songs so much 😄😄 Still love her to this day, she sounded mellow with such a height to her voice.
@@lindaronstadt7426 Thank you for your sincere reply and decades of music to us fans, you are the gift that keeps on giving ♥️ take care of your health because you've taken care of us, God blessed ya.
I have been a long time fan since the early1970's and could go on forever about all the genre's of music that I love that Linda has covered. I also love all of the Trio albums. That is the other reason I am writing is to mention that I came across a band a few months ago called called "Foxes and Fissures." It is three female singers (the Foxes) and the guys who are the (Fissures). I just found them on UA-cam but don't them and have never seen them perform (just on UA-cam.) I heard one of their covers of "Telling Me Lies." from the Trio album. Have to say they have done an absolute beautiful cover and the female voices singing harmonies on this song is breathtaking. They have done (in my opinion anyway), incredible justice on this song. I hope Linda might read this and have a listen too. I have just written this message here and not on any of Dolly Parton's or Emmylou videos. Figure if Linda does read this and likes it she can tell the others about it.
Just one look. That’s all it took, yeah, just one look. (At Linda, that is, for me to to fall in love with her back in the early 70s. And her million dollar singing voice was just the icing on the cake!!)
I seen Linda in Glasgow in the early 70,s and her backing band featured Andrew Gold on the piano and he sang a song that went on to become a hit.Linda never spoke until the very end when wearing a tartan scarf she said and i quote I love your Tottie Scones tottie means potato in Scotland.Apart from loving her songs and voice I also thought she was a babe
I, personally, met this person in person many years ago. I thought she was a genuine person. I love her voice which reminds me of Vera Lynn. Of course you have to be in your 80th decade to know who Vera Lynn was. So sad....old age had many memories!

We were all in love with her, especially in the crazy 70's; how could you not be.
Still in love with her after 50 years. Blue Bayou makes me freeze in my tracks anytime I hear it.
Linda so beautiful inside as well as outside!
I always loved her voice, so strong! Loved her songs too!
My favorite is I Knew You When. She does a great job on that song.
EVERYTHING THAT LINDA TOUCHED TURNED TO GOLD

Except for a boyfriend turned husband. Kind of surprising but not everyone needs or wants to have a spouse.
@@danielfronc4304 🎶hurts so bad!🤷♂️💞

Long Long Time

A young beautiful and now an older beautiful with an amazing voice. Hi, from the UK and thanks for the wonderful memories. x

Hurt So Bad was my favorite by Linda Ronstadt.
You made a mistake on the picture of Neil Young, it's actually Glen Frey.
I too noticed that immediately.
You mentioned Neil Young and show a photo of Linda and Glenn Frey from the Eagles.
What a Universal Treasure.
American Treasure ❤️

One of your pics is not identified correctly. The one that you say is Neil Young is actually Glen Frey of the Eagles. Great video, thank you!
GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE.MAM LINDA
Called glen fry Neil young.shes the best that's ever been
Beat me to it, Even if I hadn't recognized Frey, AFAIK Young never had a moustache.
@@fbxx9845 me too..
Lowell George and Little Feat was forgotten. Love Linda! Thx for the video.
Linda is so very talented. What a wonderful singer. I am sorry to hear of her diagnosis.
Still nice and beautiful xx love from scotlandstan xxx

🎶we'll meet again👋🏻🙄💞
Oh heck, she's still Linda Ronstadt
apa kabar linda ronstard...selalu sehat ya...masih bisa bernyanyi...aku ingat duet sama aaron nevile anda cantik sekali...salam dari indonesia
Respect.
That wasn’t Neil young in the photo it was Don Henley
No, it was Glenn Frey. Henley did not play guitar then.
That was NOT Neal Young! That was Glenn Frey from the Eagles. 🤦♀️Get the facts correct please. Linda is the QUEEN
She did not “move to Tucson in 1997”. She is a daughter of Tucson and the Sonoran Desert.
You left out collaboration with Glenn Frey and Don Henley, who played in her band in the 70s. She encouraged them to form the Eagles.
Good video but forgot Linda Ronstadt's unforgettable collaboration with Aaron Neville
My first proper crush amd still is
Mine too.
🎶get in line!☝🏻😉💞
Funny, Neil Young looks a lot alike Glenn Frey
One of the photos shown was of Toni Tennille with the captain, not Linda.
Shame that radio doesn’t play her hit songs anymore. Not even satellite radio plays her music. It’s bizarre.
an organised crime group used her music in some tawdry show and the association tarnished her whole career
Linda Ronstadt is the finest female singer ever to grace this planet. If there was a god then she would still enertain us

What about Karen Carpenter? She had the voice of an angel.
@@tonyjedioftheforest1364 True, but not as comprehensive as that of Linda's
@@tonyjedioftheforest1364 perhaps. Not as versatile as Linda.
@@tonyjedioftheforest1364 yes she deserves a mention💞🙌🏻💞
She has 11 grammys
Why is The Captain & Tenille shown with their award?
1:57 Not Neil Young.
That's Glen Frey from the Eagles (1:57).
@@keithlane4343 Exactly.
she also collaborated with Aaron Neville
Picture of Linda and Glenn Frye while they say she teamed up with Neil Young. Kinda ok since Glenn probably wouldn't have become famous without her.
That wasn't Neil Young
Do you have any on Andy Bell of Erasure?
Neil Young... Really? You better double check the photo displayed and realize that it is Glenn Frey :-)..
"Neil Young" then shows photo of Linda and Glenn Frey. Sloppy.
Few people know what a truly funny person she is and describes herself as a " spiritual atheist " !
Linda, you are so good. But, WHY Governor moonbeam?
Sad....she is an atheist. Breaks my heart she doesn't know Jesus. I pray she will know him one day.
Sad to hear-
Spiritual atheist sounds like an oxymoron.
🎶she knows lo💓e😏💜
sooo, sad!
Are her kids really adopted?
Nowhere near as good as Karen Carpenter. How much would she be worth if she had not died so young?
that was not neil young
Baby you’re no good 😊
