The only thing I remember is Saber and Race with that lone Hot Dog XD
WTF
Not even verified. Tsk tsk
WHY IS THIS CONVENTION FULL OF WHITE MEN
My sister was like 12 and it was her first convention. We flew in from Kansas City Missouri and she was basically the only child in attendance and was treated like a celebrity guest. The world's manliest brony carried her on his shoulders, the vendors gave her expensive merch for free, she was told to sit at a panel with the panel hosts and discuss pony lore, she was interviewed by Sam Swicegood and is the person in the pink hat in the front of the harlem shake. This con was wild
Sounds like she was the one person to have a good time.

@@BugsyFoga what "good" would come out of a con _burning down?_

This con is the reason I met my husband!
Two of my friends were going, and asked a local pony forum group if anyone else from [HOME STATE] would be there, and my future husband respond and agreed to meet up with them. The ensuing chaos and ruin of the con meant that they hung out as a group more then initially planned, and they became close by the end of the weekend. When they got back, my friends were like, hey we met this guy out in Vegas and he lives pretty close to you, you should totally date him. I met him like two weeks later, and although it took us forever to finally actually date, we became best friends pretty quickly. Every so often he'll reminisce about his fun trip to Vegas, then remember it was actually a really horrible pony convention and he'll cringe, but we'll always be fond of it that it serendipitously brought us together :3
Omg... @0:34 that's my friends who are cosplaying as twilight and scootaloo. Orange hoodie guy EXITING A BUILDING WITH A POSSIBLE FIRE ON A RAZOR SCOOTER in the back is most noticable.

I remember hearing about this since I have a relative who worked at the Riviera when it happened (they’ve transferred to a different casino since). Them and their coworkers originally thought it was gonna be a convention for kids, and were absolutely terrified when they saw all these grown men showing up. I’m not sure how if they knew exactly what bronies were, but it was funny hearing their reactions
@Dusk Raccoon normal is boring and overrated anyway
Wait this is a odd question but isn't this the same place featured in a ghost adventures episode?
@Dusk Raccoon To be fair bronies subculture seems extremely forced to the point of parody, like quite doubt anyone without proper knowledge wouldn't think is this an elaborated bad joke
At this point, they believed they got into the deepest part from this "rabbit hole", but I wouldn't be surprised if they found something weirder beyond those wonderful subcultures/pop culture. Hell, nowadays, those peoples don't see anything "normal" from their perspective.

I think this was a subtle way of telling us that he doesn't like this game
I said the same thing,

@@klaykid117 Also in one of his Xbox games videos he straight up said he isn’t ashamed to take sponsorship money from shady mobile games, basically as a reply to people mad at him about the Raid ads on older videos. If I were him I’d try to sneak in sarcastic jabs as well. Compare this to when he advertised Hypercharged Unboxed for Nintendo Switch for free and gushed about the game in a statement that obviously wasn’t done at gunpoint.
Raid will pay on average $2k for an ad plug. That's the gun.

Oh god, Unicon, this was literally my first convention ever at 15. Words can't describe how excited I was to experience the community but never knew how bad it really was after the fact. Fortunately I documented the whole thing! I had gone partially as a regular attendee with PRESS passes accompanying Joseph Frye filming his Unicon recap, seen at 9:06, I still remember filming this cosplayer as well as the Cali Bronies flag at 15:10.
We had no clue this was happening as we went around filming and interviewing the cosplayers, voice actors, and those horse-famous in the community. I even remember talking to Sandi on her scooter at one point outside the green room for the musicians when going to interview the VAs; yeaaa, she wasn't great.
The celebrity dinner was an absolute nightmare by the way. I had paid $200 to have dinner with Cathy Weseluck, however, they screwed up so badly that her table was full. Luckily MicTheMicrophone got me a table with Lee Tockar which was great, and both Peter New & Andrew Francis left their tables to join as well for a moment which leads to some goofs in my vlog, very memorable.
It's all in my recap vlog if anyone is interested in seeing what the dinner was kinda like. Genuinely a crazy first con experience, though honestly one of the best nights of my life getting to eat with the musicians after the concert had ended when I was both tired and miserably sick catching a bad cough there, and it absolutely made my night.
It goes to show Bronies are some of the best people out there in communities.
Pan never gets enough credit for the editing in these live-action videos, all the clips from cartoons and movies timed to tie in with the things he's talking about add a lot to the humour.

This video ended up being more fun than I expected. The early 2010s nostalgia helped maybe though.
My country's only convention is called Unicon and I got a heart attack. Our convention is not based around ponies to its just a general convention where everything goes
Same, I was really confused why are people making a video on a small con in a small country, but turned out it's not the in my country
So that’s why Sabers next upload took two weeks.. huh
My new favorite thing is ex Horse-famous youtubers talking abt the shitshow that was the mlp fanbase
Today we have a double session of Saber being a Furry. What a time to be alive.
I always read the "What a time to be alive" in 2 minute papers voice
WOW WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE
@@bilbostabbins1882 I don't know what you mean but it sound like fun
@@benjulc9271 Its another youtube channel but it deals more with software and hardware advancements
The idea of fandom as an identity still weirds me out. The good stuff a work promotes can still inform one's values without the work itself consuming one's identity.

that be awesome

I didn't see Shadow Man in that ad.
sony vegas, images from google search, bad memes. no thanks
I never watched MLP but this should never happen again.
It will not only happen again, but the worst is yet to come. Maybe it won't be MLP, but it'll be even worse than Rainfurrest 2015. You'll see.
@@john_o It would probably either be Comic-Con, gamers, or the anime fandom.
@@john_o Nah, cons are dead after the pandemic.
Nobody is gonna want to hold a convention when people are afraid of sneezes
@@Klonoahedgehog We'll see. Tbh I think once the vaccine is administered, most people will be more lax regarding the virus.
@@john_o No vaccine is gonna cure COVID. Staying in your house and wearing a mask will cure COVID.
Damn. Saberspark is older than I thought
Less hair than I thought..
@@syedsyclone6827 I knew he was a geek but this is just embarrassing lol
@@jackwhite49 uff
@@SatanenPerkele he's a big dude too and doesn't sound like his youtube voice at all.
@@Chaogod1233 he just has a different cadence in his regular speaking voice than in his UA-cam videos
It would also have been nice on what the other MLPFIM VA's thought of it, like Tabitha St. Germain, Ashleigh Ball and Andrea Libman.
"You know how much I prefer real graphics over cartoony ones."
Are you sure you're Pan? 🤔
What kind of person tries to flex by claiming to know the guys from Gold & Silver? "Uh, yeah, I'm kind of a big deal, I'm GOOD friends with Fiona Bruce from Antique Roadshow"
It sounds like their main problem was that they started too big. With a first year con, you can't expect big crowds so you need to be modest with what you offer. Side note, Vegas does have a lot of family-friendly stuff (in fact, in the 90s they tried to rebrand as a good place for family vacations) so I don't think location was a big issue.
It's always fascinatingly satisfying to see large buildings get demolished with the charges to somewhat safely bring them down, and also REALLY damn cool.
Each year has the cursed conventions I heard from 2013-2018
2013: unicon
2014: dashcon
2015: rainfurrest
2016: fyre festival
2017: rainfurrest (again)
2018: tanacon
What about 2019-2024?
Everyone keeps calling this a “TitaniCon” when really, its more of a “Costa Concordia Con.”
"that's a fire alarm--" "SABER WHAT DID YOU DO" ended me
