The Shape Tape is the best concealer I've ever used & at 58yrs old I've used a ton! It does have a learning curve but once you figure it out for your individual skin, it works like a charm. Having a good skincare regimen is important too, as makeup can't always mask cutting corners in that area. ;-) My NYC winters are very cold & windy but my concealer doesn't dry, freeze & crack like others have. I have normal/combo skin. My eye area has a little discoloration & fine lines which look deeper on my occasional "puffy" days. I moisturize my undereye with an eyecream first, then tap on a little oil. The trick is to slow down & let each layer absorb before the concealer goes on. I apply a SMALL amount of Shape Tape, work it in with a damp beauty blender & melt it in with my fingers. A tiny bit of Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder sets it & I'm good all day! Hope this helps someone! ~Susanne xoxo
I too broke a new bottle of mac pro wear concealer. Bought a new one and wrapped that bottle in heavy duty duct tape!! May not look pretty but a least it should be protected in case of another fall!! Bought the Tarte tape shape Love it too!!
My under eyes are dry so I thought the ShapeTape would be too dry. But, I have been using the Tarte CC Undereye Corrector first, which is very emollient, and it helps balance out the dryness of the ShapeTape. Also, use a damp mini Swisspers makeup sponge (great dupe for mini Beauty Blender), to pat in the ShapeTape on my under eye area. This combination works very well for me.
I don't buy a lot of high end makeup except for concealer and nothing has ever covered my dark circles so well as the Tarte shape tape. it took me a while to get it but I'm glad I did! I need it a little lighter to really brighten but it does work great on my face on spots too! next time I'll buy a lighter shade for just my eyes
Love the Shape Tape!!! As the weather has gotten warmer and colder, I adjust my moisturizer accordingly. Stays in place all day, don't need a lot of product to conceal, and plays well with my other products.
My Ulta has plenty of stock of ShapeTape! I wanted to love it, but even after really working it into the skin it just dried to a really matte finish and made my undereye area feel so dry and tight. Returned this and the salesperson told me they are getting some many returns! Maybe it so great in a cold wintery climate. My personal fave for mature skin is Lancôme Effarcernes waterproof concealer. It doesn't really need setting, but I usually use a little Makeup Forever HD powder to set and on me it lasts all day. I only use this under my eyes, (in the trough) nowhere as far down on the cheeks as I see others doing it. To brighten, I use a touché eclat knockoff by Boots No.7 called Radiant Glow (available at Target).
I've also heard that Shape Tape is drying. Anymore I am searching out potted concealers figuring they tend to be more emollient. I can't use too much product or else it ages me. So I'm on the hunt for a creamy, not-drying, opaque concealer. I generally don't splurge on cosmetics, but this is one product that would be worth it to me because if I don't wear anything else on my face, undereye concealer really helps to make me look alive.
+Denise Marie I have REALLY dry skin and so far so good-I was very surprised! I have found that the really creamy concealers tend to crease on me. And the ones that are light in texture don't have enough pigment! It's hard to find a good one!
You convinced me to try Tarte Shape Tape. My Ulta has plenty of it! I bought it today in light neutral. Popped it on IN. THE. CAR. I didn't immediately love it but I kept patting & patting and then it was like it suddenly melted into my skin and became undetectable and my circles were GONE. I used the TINIEST amount between ring fingers patted in and it helps that I ALWAYS moisturize my undereyes very very well with Mario Badescu hyaluronic eye cream, it's VERY emolient. Thanks for the recommendation!!!!
Marnie, I am the same skin tone as you and bought the Fair Neutral Shape Tape. I thought it was definitely brightening, but when I saw myself in a photo, I had very obvious white circles under my eyes. For me, I will be using the Light/Neutral under my eyes (has a yellow undertone which is good for my blue veins) and the Light for face concealing. It is an amazing product.
Connie Nunez yes, I feel the same way. I'm very pale, but find the lighter concealers give me a strange look. The shade Light is looking great, love the product!
Thank you Marnie! I have been struggling about purchasing the Shape Tape but your opinion and research have solved my under eye dilemma. Now to find it!! Thank you again!!!!
I'm a fellow fair skin lady and I struggle so much with light enough under eye concealer - this was a brilliant video! I'm in the UK but desperately trying to get hold of the tarte shape tape! Thank you! X
I am 25 years old, and I love my Shape Tape. I know Tarte has come out with a better shade range for this concealer. I am pretty fair, but probably a shade or two darker than you, and I live in the (cold, harsh) Canadian weather and it stands up to that! So I'm impressed.
Good morning I came across your video and I must say I am blown away because there's so many young UA-camrs which are fantastic and they're so gorgeous but my skin is 44 years old so I'm mature very oily very rosacea skin type so it's kind of hard and plus I'm a newbie at makeup so I'm learning as I'm watching all of your UA-camrs videos
Love the Shape Tape. Had to wait just a little bit for it but was worth the wait. It is very creamy, doesn’t cake or crease, & I found my perfect shade.
I have both the Too Faced and the Tarte concealers. I recently mixed the two of them, since the Too Faced is a little too hydrating for me, causing creasing, and the Tarte is kind of drying, and they worked beautifully together.
The Shape Tape is my favorite too. I wear it in Light Sand (I'm fair with a yellow undertone). I like the full coverage and the fact that it doesn't need to be set with a powder.
I bought the shape tape after you responded to me in the comments asking what you had done different cause you looked even better than usual! I found it in my shade at ulta.com and omg..it's wonderful! it doesn't crease or look cakey..it hides all dark circles and blemishes...it's just wonderful! thank you for the recommendation Marnie!
I keep my MAC prolong wear in the box now after smashing two vials of the stuff! I have it in two shades and have the most success with it in covering a particularly dark photoage spot :( I am curious about the Shape Tape. Thanks for your review!
I have not tried either of those 3, but I am curious about the Shape Tape. For sure I will look for it! I'm 47, so creasing and flaking are concerns. I have come to love Tarte Creaseless Concealer, blended with the tiniest drop of moisturizer to thin in out a bit. Amazing coverage and look.
Thank-you for this comparison. I do want to try the Shape Tape, but it's even harder to find in Canada (no ULTA).... Meantime...on my light-toned, extra-dry, 45-year-old skin, with dark undereye circles...my current fave combo is the NYX dark circle corrector (just on the dark area) layered under foundation (TF Born This Way - thank-you Marnie!) with just a little bit of Lancome Effecernes, patted with my ring finger, on top. I set with just a small amount of Laura Mercier translucent setting powder and it lasts all day. Never creases, never looks dry.I've used the TF BTW concealer, and it's ok, but it doesn't cover as well and tends to crease a bit on me too. Love the foundation though!
Spot on! Exactly same cons & pros with all of them for me. Love that we have been the same color & there is someone I can watch for honest reviews for mature skin. Love your videos!
thanks Marnie for your 3 concealer testing, I am a mature skin woman, and have been hesitant to try the "holy grail Tarte shape Tape", because of the dryness I have heard. thank you. I'm trying the Lancome Effacernes waterproof concealer and setting with Laura Mercier. give it a try, I like it so far
Great video, Marni! I've tried so many concealers and my favorite is the Tarte Shape Tape too, followed by Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. Both are fabulous for mature eyes.
Almost 40 and prepping like the people for the apocalypse with my holy grail and go to drawer. I finally found the shape tape and the IT BB cream around the same time. I was also doing generic testing to figure out why I'm cracking and creasing under my eyes. I found that after my moisturizer and before my primer if I use a few drops of tarte maracuja oil under eye and on laugh lines, where ever I could see a problem zone id apply it. I let it sink in while I do other stuff, then apply the IT foundation and the smallest bit of concealer and I'm done. I have seriously bad dark circles and did a serious happy dance to look younger even by a few years or so.
I had heard so many good things about the Tarte Shape Tape also that I had to try it! I waltzed into the Ulta at Northwoods hoping it would be available and it was!! They seemed to have a pretty good variety of the shades in stock. That was about two weeks ago but I thought I would mention it to you in case you hadn't looked at that location. My shade is Light Sand and I love it!!
You are right, the tarte shape tape is impossible to find. I haven't even be able to see it to swatch it. Looking forward to trying it. In the meantime, I've been mixing the tarte crealess concealer with the maybelline fit me and love it! Great video'
I can't think of a particular item that I want to see a comparison of. I've found all your videos very informative and just have to go out there to see what works for me. I have very dry skin, and I live in a semi tropical area, Hilton Head. We're having an incredibly warm January, 70 degree temps, and we know that it's not going to last. However, like your area, we have very humid summers. Brutal. Right now I'm using a smashbox foundation. I have a lot of broken capillaries on my face so I need a good coverage. And having turned 60 back in November, am very interested in products for an older complexion. Thank you again for another great video.
Rita Cymbalista hi friend I’m 61 going 2 be 62 in December. I use IT cc foundation the best ever, but i was using the old too faced thinner concealer which I like, but I think I will try Lancôme 4 my age. Watching reviews & a lot of this is 4 younger people. Let me know what u think & maybe we could trade tips, I’m a MAJOR MAKEUP JUNKIE, lol
Got Tarte Shape Tape at Ulta luckily they had one left most were sold out, liked it a lot and it covers my freckles too. I have used MAC too, which is a good one too. I had no issue with drying I do put on after all my eye creams, moisturizers and foundation. Of course we have rainy weather this winter and it does it cold yesterday it was 49 degrees.
Marnie, thanks for the video. I have been looking for a great under eye concealer that doesn't show all my wrinkles. FYI for you and your subscribers: QVC carries Tarte Shape Tape.
Thanks for the comparison, trust your opinion because you are so down to earth! High end to drugstore store if it doesn't work you say it doesn't work.
The best ones: wet n wild, nyx, la pro girl and Elf. Very cheap doesn't crease and last long. High brand suggestion: urban decay naked skin and It cosmetic bye bye lines. The best ever. All those brands are cruelty free 😊
Thanks for such a helpful video. For the life of me I can't understand why Mac won't change that bottle! I've repurchased the Mac one 3 times. I really love the product. A tiny bit goes a long way, which makes that pump even more ridiculous. I purchased an empty pill case (you know those small cases with a screw on top) and I pump 7 or 8 pumps of the Mac Pro long wear into the pill container & then apply with a small foundation brush. Still very messy & high maintenance, but it is less wasteful.
I never thought Shape Tape could live up to the hype, but it does! So good. I lucked out around the holidays and my shade was in stock on the Ulta website. Total fluke.
prolongwear is my fav because its more moisturizing but i broke 2 bottles in 2 weeks! i ended up buying a container (teeny plastic one) and just pump the concealer into the container and im keeping the glass original one somewhere safe in a carpeted room 😆 also love shape tape but have to use it very lightly.
Great review! I am more fair than you. Love Shape Tape in fair, because it really does brighten. First brand ever to do that for me. I set with Hourglass diffused light. The slight yellow tone of powder also helps brighten for me. Like the idea of buying a second color for my face, will have to look into that. Take care.
Great video! I actually haven't tried any of these products. I'm currently using IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye and have been happy with that. I keep hearing mixed reviews on the Shape tape so I haven't tried that but you've piqued my curiosity!
My teen daughter loves the too faced one . I personally love Armani maestro and the new guerlain concealer . My next purchase will be the tarte shape tape .
Maquillage79 don’t too dry, but I’m 61 soon to be 61 and have good skin naturally. Lancôme is the best left it and going back. Not the waterproof though. Try let me know and the IT CC foundation best ever and I’ve tried them all. Skin is great, let me know
I've order the Shape Tape on your recommendation... FINALLY. LOL. I ordered shades Fair Beige & Light. I ordered the 2 because I've never seen it in person but know I need a light shade with a slight pink undertone. & Tarte finally had an International free shipping offer. So excited for it to get here. Should arrive tomorrow according to my tracking. 😊😊😆😆😆
Since this is a review for mature skin, can I ask how old you are? You look great, but many doing this tutorials are young, so that makes no sense to me. I am 54 and struggle with crepe under eye area. I just purchase the Tarte Shape Tape and love it! The Mac accentuates my problem and well as the Born This Way!
I'm 50 and went through chemo 2 yrs ago and it tore up my skin, drying and thinning it out under my eyes. I use great skin care. But haven't been able to find a concealer that doesn't crease on me. I just got the Tarte creasless concealer and it's the worst ever! I haven't tried the regular shape tape yet because when I went into ulta they told me to avoid that because it will settle into my fine lines because of it being so thick but I see so many people using it. Guess maybe I'd better try it
You have convinced me to try shape tape. I am super pale as well and most products are too dark. By the way ❤️ ur tassel earrings. They remind me of the new ones from Stella & dot :)
Hi. I know this video is older, but if I have a concealer that’s good coverage but dry on my under eyes (Too Faced Sculpting concealer), I mix a dot of the Too Faced radiant with it and it gives it just a bit more moisture, without losing coverage.
Tip: to prevent waste and risk of breaking the glass container, pump out Mac PLW Concealer into a sample container and keep refilling the small container (in a carpeted area, so it doesn't break if you drop it).
I found the too faced one is to liquidy and sheer .... I prefer the urban decay naked concealer .... And I am waiting for shape tape order to arrive to try it
I have combo skin (normal/dry). I can't say that I've found a concealer that I truly love. My go to currently is the It Bye Bye concealer. Think I will try the Tarte brand to see if it's the one. Thanks for the review/comparisons.
I switched all my Makeup this year to IT COSMETICS Lovin Life, but never got the concealer yet, but got the correction concealer, for darkness by the eye area, and then I just love the Maybelline Lumi Pen...will have to try the IT concealer !
Marnie, i think you can save money on the MAC Radiant Rose. now....the Shape Tape is such ultra coverage, I doubt that you'll see any of the Radiant Rose underneath
Thank you for the review. I have very dark circles under my eyes and am very pale as well. So far, everything I try leaves lines. I will have to try the Tarte.
Cindi Barber no my friend I’m going to be 62 in a few months, trust me too drying. Get Lancôme but not waterproof. Use the IT CC foundation amazing. I have good genes, very fair Italian, and let me tell u even if u happen 2 sleep in it by accident it has good properties in it. Try It cc cream and let me know. Don’t work 4 them just tired of spending hard earn $ 4 nonsense.
I ordered the tarte shape tape a few days ago & waiting for delivery. Very excited to try it, considering the hype around it on UA-cam! I ordered from the tarte website & they deliver to heaps of different countries which is great for those of us living outside the USA. Will it be better than my favourite double wear concealer that is the only concealer I have found that sets without the need for powder? Can't wait to find out!
I was using the Bobbi Brown concealer and the Maybelline together and like it..but I recently started to notice more lines underneath my eyes. I just bought the Tarte shape tape this past weekend and I'm in love! I think I might go stock up because it's so hard to find in fair. I'm realizing that even those with darker skin than me (which is everyone) lol buys fair! #redheadprobs
I actually prefer the Mac concealer side better on you. I hated the Tarte Shape tape concealer...I have a really dry undereye and dark circles. I had a hard time blending it so I had to return it! Also it didn't really cover my circles & emphasized my lines & dryness.
Really excited to try that Shape Tape! Thanks so much for your recommendations and for all of your hard work from two of your newest subscribers and fans - xoxo, 2 Real Chicks (Cindy and Carla).
Love Shape Tape! I am older and have really dark circles under my eyes, genetics is to blame. I also have dry under the eye skin, and Shape Tape solved my under eye concealing problems. Just watched the beauty segment on the Today show and Nars concealer came out as the most sold concealer.
Same here, Nars creased on me as well. Before Shape Tape, Urban's Naked Skin Concealer was my "holy grail." But now, I just use my other concealers just to use them up. By the way, QVC also sells the Shape Tape for $28.00 but it comes with the sponge but they haven't had it n stock for months now.
Dina Maravilla after the amazing reviews of Nars I was sad it didn't live up to the hype for me. glad I only bought the travel size. drying, creased & didn't cover my dark circles :(
EVERYTHING shows the texture in my underage area. Even the MAC prep and prime. I'm tempted to try this though. Its on my list after I get my hands on the peach palette!
Marnie , at the first view even without testing it , i would have eliminate also the glass pump bottle ,sorry about my english, the bottle packaging .. is not practical at all , i don't like that, and on you i think the tarte is the most beautiful too , you are right, thank you marnie
Love the video! Have you tried Cle de Peau? It is a holy grail for me! The price is high but now that I have been using it for a couple years, it doesn't seem so bad.
Sara Hyma I personally disliked the foundation, too drying and too thick, but I don't have this issue with the concealer and from what I heard this is one of the reason why it was reformulated and packaged in a tube with a wand. I do moisturise and apply a bit of primer and I have no issues !
I'm going to try the shape tape, I am older than you and have some crepiness beginning and some fine lines and the Maybelline age rewind just doesn't look good on me after I set it. I use a few different setting powders but I look like a dry wrinkly mess. Plus I wear glasses and that magnifies the issue. Thanks for the review, have a great day today.....
Hi Marnie---How about a video on Valentines gifts for your boyfriend/husband??? Maybe your boys and Michael could chime in? I'm starting to kinda panic :) I once gave my husband a book where I filled in all the reasons I loved him and he actually got a tear in his eye :) Haha he like it!
Well that is a very sweet gift!! You can't buy anything better than that! I did do a video with Michael for V-Day...here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/zwPYyhMRDn0/v-deo.html It's a couple of years old so I could probably add a few things to the list, but I think you'll get a few ideas from it!
I got the tarte shape tape from your recommendation..its the first concealer, both high end and drugstore that I have ever liked..I hated nars sheer glow. Thank you..I agree with your review of it!
I found the Too Faced one to be very early which I do not like. Love the Mac concealer but after my friend sliced finger trying to get into the packaging to get the rest out not as big a fan anymore. XO
Marnie what brand/shade are you using currently to conceal blemishes? Everything I buy that you reccomend/wear is spot on for me - just picked up Mac Pink Plaid after seeing you wear it. Love!!
You're killing me, Marnie! I didn't want to try yet another under eye concealer for my dry, crepy 46 yo skin but with this review I need tarte shape tape in my life 😊 my holy grail so far has been It Cosmetics bye bye under eye but by the end of the day I look 46 😝
Marnie Goldberg I do really like the Naked Skin by UD as well but I put a touch of jojoba oil under my eye first. You mentioned a MAC product for brightening.... you use that before concealer? I will look for that as well 😊⭐
Taste products are only available at Sephora where I live (Sydney, Australia). Heading off there today for a couple of items (ha! as if I'll stop at a 'couple'!) Fingers crossed they have this but I'm not confident. As mentioned elsewhere, we usually have to wait months and months for new releases.
+junipa Sephora doesn't carry it in the US either if that makes you feel better. It's exclusive to Ulta in stores. Online there are a few more options.
I recently bought it in light, but I'm not sure if I have the right shade for me. I'm very pale. The associate at Ulta said to match your skin, not go lighter. Maybe I should exchange it for the lighter shade? I'm new to under-eye concealer.
No offense to those that work at Ulta, but I've yet to meet one that knew what they were talking about. I've "met" some here online that were brilliant, but in real life, in my experience, not so much.
Hate shape tape...it creased....that's my major issue with concealer. Mac prolongwear did not crease and didn't have to set with a powder....but yes the bottle and pump is annoying, but I just saved the other half of concealer on the top of the pump and put the cap back on....and voila, use it next time....only issue with mac is if you work 14 hours or so like me, it can start to dry out and look dry, but fix plus spray renewed it and moisturized too! Personally, I care more about creasing than the packaging...
Hi Marnie, just a quick question about colour - is the fair shade super fair? I'm currently using the maybelline instant age rewind in the brightener shade (which pretty much matches my skin as I'm even paler than yourself and cool toned), so concealer is a tricky problem. Too faced - much too dark in every face product. The collection concealer although readily available in Scotland is much too dark/yellow. I'm currently mixing white foundation into any other concealers which as you can imagine changes the texture/coverage. I also use the NYX lavender concealer as a mixing medium if something is too yellow. Do you think the lightest shade of the shape tape would work? Many thanks.
For me I'm 40 I've learned that using something closer to my skin tone covers my bags if I brighten under my eyes it shows more flaws

Thank you, Marnie. What would help is if I slept more...most times I'm a walking zombie!
Maybe the key is your eye cream? You don't need sleep if you have good concealers!! ;)
I like using oils and mixed with glycerin I get a nice locked-in moisturized face. Yes - concealers are life in a bottle!
Good morning, Marnie. I finally got the Shape Tape, and was surprised how well it worked for me. I now understand why it's always sold out.
Traci Knoppe and others, Sephora stores and Sephora's inside JC Penney have Tarte products as well as Ulta.
You convinced me to try Tarte Shape Tape. My Ulta has plenty of it! I bought it today in light neutral. Popped it on IN. THE. CAR. I just bought this concealer at Ulta and I love it! I'm 53 and have been searching for a good concealer and so far this is it!

Thank you Marnie! I have been struggling about purchasing the Shape Tape but your opinion and research have solved my under eye dilemma. Now to find it!! Thank you again!!!!
I guess I'm considered "mature" at 47, but of all the concealers I've tried in my life the best is by Lancome. Try it sometime.
It's on my list!
I'm a fellow fair skin lady and I struggle so much with light enough under eye concealer - this was a brilliant video! I'm in the UK but desperately trying to get hold of the tarte shape tape! Thank you! X

+Aracelis Mendez That is a brilliant idea! I'm going to try that!
Marnie Goldberg I hope it helps :)
I used tarte shape tape to cover blemishes and it covers beautifully you cant tell you have blemishes covered its that good!
I want to try the shape tape, I have been using tarte marajuca creaseless and it's so good!! It's thick but blends out incredibly well.
The Shape Tape is my favorite too. I wear it in Light Sand (I'm fair with a yellow undertone). I like the full coverage and the fact that it doesn't need to be set with a powder.
I have been using Tarte for about a week with. Blender. Used brush this morning. Game changer! Thank you
I bought the shape tape after you responded to me in the comments asking what you had done different cause you looked even better than usual!
My favorite is the tarte shape tape. Number two is Nars concealer.
Loving the new Milani concealer - Retouch and Erase. It's absolutely great and only $8!!
VAlerie Schoettmer thank you I'm going to try that method I have the same problem with you
I had heard so many good things about the Tarte Shape Tape also that I had to try it! I waltzed into the Ulta at Northwoods hoping it would be available and it was!! They seemed to have a pretty good variety of the shades in stock. That was about two weeks ago but I thought I would mention it to you in case you hadn't looked at that location. My shade is Light Sand and I love it!!
So far nothing has come close to beating the Maybelline Master Conceal. Luxury or drugstore; nothing tops it!
+Jennifer Myers I need to pick that one up!
It's so amazing, and I hear very few people ever talking about it! It's a sleeper product, apparently! But a hidden gem for sure, if you ask me.
Jennifer Myers is Maybelline master conceal OK for dry skin.
First of all you are so pretty. I just started using Tarte shape. I love it.
Thank you for the taste tip. I was about to throw mine out, but now I'll give it another chance and PAT more.

Thank you for taking your time to making more than 1 video a week. I look forward to your videos and appreciate you honesty. Don't change a thing! 😊
By the way trying to love the Shape Tape but struggling 😩
It's ok-you don't have to love it!! Everyone is different!
Very useful review. I wanted to try the Too Faced concealer but I was not sure if the lightest shade would be light enough. Now I know!
One of the few concealers that does not cake and crease in my mature fine lines..lasts all day without touchups..
Thank you! You somehow read my mind. I've been researching under eye concealers for my fair and sad to say aging skin. Soooo helpful!
Skin is great, let me know
Thanks for explaining the patting part..never knew that, I have it and I wasnt doing it right!
I love the tarte shape. The First day I wore it I got compliments.
Thanks Marnie! Should receive my shape tape today! Anxious to try it!
Of course-I’ll be 45 in March.
Thanks for the review Marnie. I will soon be 65 and have not found one that I truly love so I guess I will try the Shape Tape. xoxo
I am a redhead as well and i have a hard time finding makup that is light enough for me. I feel your pain
I actually prefer the Mac concealer side better on you. I hated the Tarte Shape tape concealer...I have a really dry undereye and dark circles. I had a hard time blending it so I had to return it! Also it didn't really cover my circles & emphasized my lines & dryness.
+Jane doe Do you apply it with a beauty blender?
Tarte.....Found it with no problem. Tried in many different ways. Used several eye creams under it and in the end, tossed it. Just too drying!
That's funny-the Nars one creased on me and made my undereyes look so dry!!
Michelle Moncure I have the same issue! I would give the Tarte shape tape a try. it looks amazing under my eyes! I hope it works for you too :)
I use it cosmetics under eye cream. It's thick. But you only need a little. Thanks. I want to try this one.
Marnie , at the first view even without testing it , i would have eliminate also the glass pump bottle ,sorry about my english, the bottle packaging .. is not practical at all , i don't like that, and on you i think the tarte is the most beautiful too , you are right, thank you marnie
Have you tried the Bare Minerals serum concealer? I love it!
Can't wait to get my hands on the Shape Tape. Have you tried any of The Ordinary's products yet? Would love to hear what you think about them.
Neato Keto , I have used and am still using several products from The Ordinary line, and love them all.
Love the video! Have you tried Cle de Peau? It is a holy grail for me! The price is high but now that I have been using it for a couple years, it doesn't seem so bad.
Gorgeous lady and thx for factual delivery of information!
I hated the Too Faced as well it did not look good at all ! I just got the Kat Von D and I am very impressed !
I love KVD foundation so maybe I should try her concealer.
Marie Josee Pitre the foundation was a little too dry for me. is the concealer similar?
Sara Hyma I personally disliked the foundation, too drying and too thick, but I don't have this issue with the concealer and from what I heard this is one of the reason why it was reformulated and packaged in a tube with a wand. I do moisturise and apply a bit of primer and I have no issues !
Your make up is on point, tutorial please?! ;)
Me too Deborah!. Wrinkles and magnified by glasses, one sad lady.:D
XO
Going to pick up Shape Tape! Thanks girl!
XOXOXO
And tarte shape tape is my favorite
Thanks for the review Marnie. 👍🏻 by the way blue is definitely your color. OMG you look precious. 😍
Marnie what brand/shade are you using currently to conceal blemishes? Everything I buy that you reccomend/wear is spot on for me - just picked up Mac Pink Plaid after seeing you wear it. Love!!
I'm using Cle de Peau concealer in Ivory (the lightest shade). It's pretty amazing. But I'm looking for dupes because it's $70 a tube!
Have you compared that shape tape to the KVD Lock it concealer?
I haven't!
What was the lightest shade you keep referring too? Of the shape tape?
Hi Marnie, which is your favorite under eye setting powder for mature skin? Sincerely,
You're killing me, Marnie! I didn't want to try yet another under eye concealer for my dry, crepy 46 yo skin but with this review I need tarte shape tape in my life 😊 my holy grail so far has been It Cosmetics bye bye under eye but by the end of the day I look 46 😝
I hate Bye Bye Undereye under my eye but love it to cover blemishes!
Marnie Goldberg I do really like the Naked Skin by UD as well but I put a touch of jojoba oil under my eye first. You mentioned a MAC product for brightening.... you use that before concealer? I will look for that as well 😊⭐
Hope my friend can get her hands on the shape tape for me, because I tried ordering it from their web site and the shipping here was unbelievable
Stupid auto correct. Tarte products, obviously. Just back from Sephora. No surprises - not released here yet. If ever.
+junipa Sephora doesn't carry it in the US either if that makes you feel better. It's exclusive to Ulta in stores. Online there are a few more options.
I have been using Loreal true match concealer, but want to try the Tarte shape tape. I have been happy with Loreal though.
If you're happy then don't change it!
I like another girls comment that said to wrap the bottle in duct tape...lol...genius
You look great with big earrings. and this colour suits you great
Hi Marnie, just a quick question about colour - is the fair shade super fair? I'm currently using the maybelline instant age rewind in the brightener shade (which pretty much matches my skin as I'm even paler than yourself and cool toned), so concealer is a tricky problem. Too faced - much too dark in every face product. The collection concealer although readily available in Scotland is much too dark/yellow. I'm currently mixing white foundation into any other concealers which as you can imagine changes the texture/coverage. I also use the NYX lavender concealer as a mixing medium if something is too yellow. Do you think the lightest shade of the shape tape would work? Many thanks.
It's really fair! But I would recommend trying Google images to see how it compares to other shades.
