- A quick guide for random aspects of drawing the human mouth. One of the most malleable forms of the human face. A large focus is on drawing and rendering lips specifically.
Let me know what part of the human anatomy you would like to see more information on drawing! Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

When you realize your entire face is a common mistake according to Sinix HAHA
Yeah some of the tips generalize for the sake of simplicity/ease a little too much...
@@lossmoss7378 First master the general rules, then break them. Not the other way around.
@@lonestarr1490 It's not really a rule if it isn't even true in reality, just a generalization. It's perfectly fine to stick to common faces and facial features to make it easier, but you definitely don't need to learn generalizations before variation, you should be learning variation from the start.
Yea, it talks about average proportions / beautiful proportions. The common mistake about drawing the mouth too low is only a mistake when done wrong. They actually used an example of it being used right, putting it on a pretty flat and wide jaw.
Some people actually have faces like that, and it's also often used in more characterised art like comics, so I personally wouldn't say it's wrong.
I thought you meant our actual faces… 😭

No seriously Sinix, we need a hair tutorial, I don't understand the logic behind hair, maybe it's easier if you are a girl with long hair and all dunno... All the other tutorial about hair are just people using special brush or whatever they don't explain how they go from realism to anime stuff like that, they just show us how THEY do it, not the general rules about it.
Ahmed aldoori has a pretty good one using ribbons as parts of hair :D

look at the skull. tbh there isnt much to explain. try to look at a photo of a skull and make notes for the chin area, maybe you will learn something for yrself through that :)

Teeth are way more complicated to draw.

@Adolf Hitler there’s a reason you didn’t get accepted into art school
With ur anatomy tutorials I went from being literal garbage to pretty decent. The basic understanding of shapes that you teach and the relationships. The importance of them is so simple and basic yet it works like magic. Thank you so much. I've learned so much from you and have so much yet to learn!

It be like that... I deadass couldn't find a tutorial on curly hair and just decided to wing it... And before my eyes, there was realistic, curly hair as if it materialized?
To anyone reading this, I've made a tutorial on TikTok if you wish to see it there
I feel this stands on the same level as Proko's tutorials
Or even a higher level
No they're actually better because he doesn't demand us to sign up for some bullshit premium account in order to get "more tutorial videos".
I've been watching both and it's amazing
Higher level. Proko is pure textbook material, while Sinix has wisdom.
@@user-mr9oq4kd6z hey just have to tell you he offers a lot and is more concentrated in school like videos and he posts it on youtube so people would be intrested in his course he was originally planning for a website school. Many people found his course better than their money milking art schools and it's not "bull shit" if everything is free then what is the purpose of his life and his big crew ,they shouldn't get money ? If u can't afford it then it's no problem there are many art teachers who have way less costs but still his videos are very textbook/facts and intermediate level for more than 6-8 years 🤔 . Ur argument is bad and it's no problem I can't pay premium too •́ ‿ ,•̀ becos I'm still smol and his yt videos are more than enough for me I use books and other u tube channels ! Sinix is one of them and is useful than most of "Tips and tricks on how to draw _____"
I honestly really love your anatomy videos and I always find myself laughing and having a good time, but genuinely learning something useful. Even if I thought I already knew something, you always manage to bring an extra level to it for me. Thank you. In a weird way, I think this is also incredibly encouraging to other content creators, like me, because if your perspective can help enhance my knowledge in a topic I thought I knew a lot about, my perspective in something else may help someone add to their artistic data base in ways THEY didn't expect, either. So thanks for the totally unintentionally encouragement, too.
honestly, for reals???? no lie?
Absolutely ❤
0:35 oh my god that was so pure i cant stop smiling
I just got into digital drawing, sinc I loved traditional art when I was younger (I never got that good, I just liked drawing). These anatomy vids are making me progress more in a few days than I could have ever hoped for. Coupled with using your technique for drawing faces at an angle I've been able to improve so much so fast. The best part is that it's so much simpler than it first looks. Thanks a lot for these videos, they're really appreciated. You've got a great skill in teaching.
What if you did a video about attaching every body parts that you already did?
Oh but first you need to complete the entire body and you talk about T H I C C so do some legs/thigh?
I think a video about hair would be great too because it's so free the physics is strange, it's both heavy as a group and light as an individual.

My good sir, it is beautiful.
Dear Sinix, I dunno how you do it. But you manage to do something that other tutorial experts don't. At least for me. You somehow manage to distil the complexity of your subject matter into its important and immediately graspable essence. I can't tell you the extent to which your "drawing faces from diff angles" video helped me and completely transformed my entire approach to drawing. Even when it started helping me, I didn't fully realize how much it eventually would. It gave me the mental breakthrough I needed to 'see' in 3d. I have been annoyed by the difficulty of drawing mouths for a long time. Now I've seen your video and I can already feel the changes in my drawing, slowly taking shape (or should I say form? :p). Thank you so much.
this man is so good at explaining that he could literally just marry the art
Thank you so much for your free tutorials. They have helped me tremendously in progressing my art. I've gone through several of Sakimichan's tutorials, Schoolism's lessons, dozens of books but your tutorials and your instructions just somehow click with me way better than anything else. Once I make more money I'll definitely go support your Patreon. God bless your kind heart for your free guides and lovely personality.
All of your tutorials are so informative, professional, and helpful, thank you so very much! It makes much more sense and I like how you teach artistic techniques and the reasons behind certain shapes and forms. If you haven't already, I'm really looking forward to a video on eyes, hair, and shoulders/arms if you'll consider it! Either way, thank you so very much for all your efforts
Dude. The breadth and depth covered in this video are incredible. Thank you for posting.
Danm your tutorials are so danm helpfull, quick, straight to the point and focuses on understanding shapes and values
one of the best drawing tutorials out there
If you have the time a video about laying out the figure as a whole would be great! Especially how you think of the shapes when drawing in pen! You rock Sinix!
I LOVED ALL OF YOUR TUTORIALS! Its very usefull and easy to understand. Eventhough its only 15 minutes, I used 5 pages to note out, and understand everything. Literally the second or third best tutor UA-camrs beside Proko and Jazza. I really appreciate and carving for more of your work! Good luck!
I just thought yesterday that I would want this video on mouths, my wish has been granted
Wow I admire this tutorial VERY MUCH! Thank you so much! There's something about the colors in the finished result that is more attractive to me than any other anatomy coloring I've seen... I look forward to more of your anatomy tutorials!! In the meantime... I'll do my best to practice mouths and noses and hands and feets and butts like you've showed me..
No joke, this channel genuinely gave me a massive improvement in art in less than 2 weeks
Been doing lip studies recently and this video helped immensely to understand some parts that did not make sense to me! Like the main 3 "fat lumps" and the bottom lip being more of a surface than a form, this will make my next studies so much easier, thank you
Your anatomy videos are by far the best tutorials I have ever watched! I understand so much about more about anatomy now then I did before finding your video's!
These quick tip videos are fantastic. I've ploughed through eyes and noses already, can't wait to learn something here as well.
Your mouth anatomy was so well put together it gave me confidence. Some UA-cam tutorial feels rushed, unfinished in their teachings, or just showing off. But you take your time break it down and explain it so well. Thank you for giving me the confidence to keep trying. Eyes please!
I am so happy that found you! So professional and cool lecture I have never seen before! I have allways had problems with drawing mouth, but now you have opened my eyes.
From your one tutorial, I learned more than from any other youtube tutorial or reference-based practice. Thank you. I will recommend it.
yo, Sinix! I know this is kind of a weird request, but can you do muscles next? I'd love to see how you render muscles in arms and abs in different positions. Another great vid btw
Josh Emperor sescond that! Muscles are the real struggle
Rix i recommend you watch “proko”. Look him up
Not a weird request at all! We need to know haha
I think he already has one on abs :)
Yeah, I can actually remember seeing one. Typing it in the search of the channel is what I usually do to find stuff.
this helped me so much omg, before this video I would draw mouths for hours and was satisfied with like maybe one of them and now I'm feeling already like a pr by just making quick scatches THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
I've learned a lot after your video. I mean really, the "bottom lip is more like a textured pad on a specific croissant shape" is a game changer to me !
I clearly see what I was doing wrong in my drawings but also on my sculptures on ZBrush.
Thanks for that! I'm looking forward to your next video!
Again, the ability of imagination and composition is the key! Very nice showcase tutorial, taking me to pick up a lot of unknown knowledge.
tysm, u've helped me so much with being more confident in drawing and I I've started liking my art more and more because of it.
I always learn some more whenever I watch your videos Sinix. Keep making.
Wow! First time I'm watching the process of really professional drawing, watched 3-4 your videos and already wanna say: this is amazing! Therewith I learn English, so I get a double benefit. Thank you for enjoyable lessons!
This is like.... the best art tutorial ever. (Or maybe i should say you're the best teacher i've come across)just how you explain and paint & your knowledge
bro, your videos are helping me a lot. Since I started following my drawings they have improved a lot. thanks for that 💗
I love your anatomy tutorials, you explain and show it really well, thanks to you I’ve learned so much!
This is the one series I wish he would finish. I think Sinix has the most interesting and stylish way of teaching anatomy, that is so easily applicable. I'd love to see forearms and butts, as well as some that help with the relationship of all these things. But seriously these are so helpful I can't believe they're free
Thank you so much for these tutorials, they've really been insightful and helped in how I look at things. Would love to see one with hair, particularly short hair. I look forward to more videos!
Very solid, super professional teaching. 10/10.
your notes are always so nice to look at!
Excellent demonstration!
This guy's paintings are insane. Such depths in his realism.
And to think it all starts with black and white.
Best art channel on youtube imo. Thanks for the vids.
I have so much to improve by watching your videos, I actually feel overwhelmed
I loved the tips, and then you started painting and ... wow!
I was touching bases on all my facial anatomy and noticed problems with the lips, this video popped up like magic. Thanks Sinix! Your eye for different hues on various skin tones still amazes me o.o
coming back to these videos after years bc i finally got over my art block
Wow I wish to know everything you know about drawing. Your line drawing is really enjoyable to just watch.
Thanks for the vid!!! The form of the lips drawn in a simplified way was the greatest lesson i learned here.
These types of videos are so helpful as I am becoming very reliant on references! The idea of helping artists draw from imagination is one I will get behind since I don't want to draw from a reference every doodle or piece, but I also want those drawings to be realistic and anatomically correct. Glancing up at a ref every ten seconds has gotten old, so thank you
the best art tutorials I've ever seen :) thank you so much for your work 🤗
Honestly? The Philtrum thing and the three circles immediately fixed it and i genuinely got it right away, thanks so much you saved so much time

thank you so so much. I loved watching the video, it was fun, looked amazing and helped me alottttt!!! (mouths are a big big struggle for me, i tried to listen to your advices while drawing a portrait and it turned out relatively good)
Thank you so much! You have no idea how much this video helped me. It's a talent itself the ability to make difficult things really simple; I mean now I can draw any mouth in every direction using a little bit of anatomy knowledge from proko tutorial but the rest it's all from this video. I can't thank you enough I love all your videos and the effort you put in them, really Bravo!!
The anatomy quick tips are so helpful. Thank you for making them. Please make one for drawing theeth from different angles as well.

Great video!! you get better at teaching with every upload
This video is so well done and informative!
Love how fast paced this is and super helpful tips, thank you so much !
So I know you said NOT to do studies of the Homer Simpson diamond mouth but honestly, drawing it has helped me a lot with understanding how the mouth sits on the face. I’ve always known about the muzzle but I could never really place it correctly in perspective until I started abstracting it the way you did for those drawings. So yea, don’t discredit your thought process there, as someone who always had trouble drawing mouths in perspective, I found it helpful and actually recommend others practice it!
I live for the videos from this channel
You're helping me, like Ahmed, and Borodante to break away from the "Anime"(Well, Dragonball Z more like it) art style. I had gotten SO into Dragonball Z that I have created REALLY bad habits and now getting into details is near impossible, i gave up drawing for years and now that my muscle memory is way reduced I can finally be "fresh" and learn from scratch and HOPEFULLY my style and art improve! Thanks again!
Great video. When I finally understood the real form of the bottom lip, I remember that improved my mouths so much. The lower lip is very deceiving!
"the lower lip can actually be described as more of a surface texture than of a form feature"
that was life saving for me, thank you!
