Hi! Imagine it this way: Ang tubig hindi natin binebenta by kilogram kasi hindi natin siya binebenta based sa bigat nya. Binebenta natin sya according to VOLUME, e.g. milliliters, liters, ounce (oz), or gallon. Kasi wala syang "definite shape". If you will measure the mass of the fluid, need mo pa ng container and kailangan icompute mo ang mass ng fluid by subtracting yung mass ng container dun sa mass ng container plus fluid. Imagine how impractical it would be kung need natin kunin ang mass ng tubig sa loob ng swimming pool! So ang ginagawa natin, we compute for the mass by multiplying the density of the fluid to the volume of the fluid. I hope this helps at naintindihan mo yung sagot ko sa tanong mo.
maam bakit po magkaiba yung formula natin for Buoyancy? hindi po ba yung weight of the submerged object is just the difference of the buoyant force and the weight in air? so hindi po ba dapat Fb = W in water + W in air?
Hello po Ma'am, ask ko lang pokung ano pong pinagkaiba ng weight of the displaced fluid sa volume of the displaced fluid? And same po ba sila ng formula? Maraming salamat po.
Ang weight of the displaced fluid is just the same thing as the BUOYANT FORCE (which is density of fluid x volume of displaced fluid x acceleration due to gravity). Ang volume of the displaced fluid is makukuha mo kapag alam mo kung ano yung volume ng object na naka-submerge sa fluid.
for the second example, it is actually how Archimedes of Syracuse did when the king of Italy told him to check if the crown was made of pure gold, at that time the king of Italy give a pure gold to a goldsmith and ordered to made him a crown of pure gold, in order to make sure that the crown was made of pure gold and he was not fooled by the goldsmith he told Archimedes of Syracuse to check it, and by his principle he found out that the crown was not totally a pure gold, part of it was a silver. in other word, its a FAKE.
Yes po, same case lang. Ang hot air balloon kasi is filled with "hot gases". As a result, the "hot air" will float on "cold air".
Need po ng density of the fluid to solve the problem. The buoyant force is equal to the WEIGHT of the displaced fluid. Para makuha ang WEIGHT, need na i-multiply and MASS of the fluid and the acceleration due to gravity (g). Kaya lang hindi naman natin ma-measure and mass of the fluid kaya gagamit tayo ng formula ng DENSITY (density = mass / volume). Ang volume ng fluid pwede natin ma-measure kaya to get the mass of the fluid, we need to multiply the DENSITY by the VOLUME.
Thank you po.
Hi!
Hi!
Hi Trina! I think you misunderstood it. Hindi weight ng air ang ginagamit dito. It's WEIGHT OF THE OBJECT IN AIR.
Hi, I suggest para mas mapadali ang task mo, try searching for problems on the internet na may solution na.
GOOD DAY Maam..ask lng po about sa volume...how to compute po volume po in calculator.
Please use the RULES for ROUNDING OFF.
