Good review, I think this is a much better watch than the Moonswatch. They both have quartz movements, but with steel case and sapphire, the Pagani could be worn daily where as the Swatch is like a toy and would be beaten up in no time.

I recently got the the Pagani Designs Moonwatch V3 and I'm really impressed. Yes it is not the original Omega, but I must say that the value it offers is SUPERIOR over Swatch's Omega endorsed "toy" and less than half its price.
Just got mine delivered today, absolutely delighted with it. All day long a better option for me than the Moon Swatch, which looks like a Fisher Price watch.
Got my exact same watch 2 days ago. Wow, what a watch. Very, very happy with it. The moonswatch doesn't have anything on the pagani V3, it's such a well made, attractive time piece. Period.
FYI: The sweeping second hand isn't the reason this is considered a mecaquartz. There are non-mecaquartz chronographs that also have a sweeping second hand. What makes it a mecaquartz is the instant springback to zero when you reset--just like on a mechanical chronograph. The non-mecaquartz chronographs will reset by having the seconds hand sweep forward to zero--faster than usual, but not instantly.
I have the V2 and will definitely get the V3. My PG 1701 with a NATO strap and I swam with it plenty times, definitely a good watch for the price and it's beautiful.
Thank you for your review. I was lucky enough to get a V3 before Pagani Design moved on to V4 that does not have a date window! I like everything about this watch, and despite its weight and size it wears fine on my 6 1/2 wrist.
I’ve had one of these for a few weeks now. The sharpness on the inside of the strap was a bit uncomfortable on a hairy wrist, but a rub over with an emery pad smoothed out the edges a bit and it wears really well now.
They need to change the shape of the crystal, as it currently produces some very odd distortions around the minute track from certain angles. Also, the subdial fonts also look a bit crap…other than that, this looks great!
A while ago I got massive pagani fatigue...but then I bought their panda Tudor style chrono a few months ago...it's a phenomenal watch for the price...with a great bracelet! It really made me give pagani another look. This may be my next purchase. Their vk64 chronographs are one of their strengths. I have three now.
Great review! One comment though…it’s not technically a “diver’s extension” on a racing chronograph… it’s meant to go over the sleeve of a racing suit…my Tag Formula 1 has the same thing.
I use those diver extensions on most Pagani watches for my "summer" wrist. Warm weather does make my wrist expand quite a bit, especially during exercising. I am ordering mine. Good review thanks.

Well this is weird, i don't really like the original omega moon watch or the swatch, or the photos of the PD version but seeing it on and in this vid i actually really like it.
Pagani nailed this one with the V3, and the domed sapphire crystal is better with higher scratch resistance and I believe costlier to make compared to the original acrylic (hexalite).
On Amazon in the question section on this V3, they indicate that this watch is available WITHOUT a date widow for a few dollars more. They show a difficult ( for me) to use link to find this version. Do you know anything about this?
I bought the pd 1701 v3, and it came with the sharp edges, which don't bother me much, but the tachymetre hand isn't perfectly aligned ,and my bottom pusher gets stuck. Should I send it back?

It really is a classy looking watch and it certainly appears well made, apart from the few flaws on the bezel (weird pits and white mark above the 'e" where it says *Tachymetre* .
I like this one for a number of reasons and that’s it’s a 40mm rather than a 42mm? Also it has a date too. I did ask someone awhile ago and said would you rather have a MoonSwatch or a homage to a Omega and the reply was a homage. This Pagani does look so very nice!
anything is as better option than a moon swatch! this does look pretty good though, but i prefer my phylida with the st1901. I suspect the bracelet is the same as that also has the divers extension
I've always had a hard time with push pin link bracelets, (one I bent the pin trying to add a link back, on another I absolutely could not get the pins out, both Invicta) but never any issues with screw link bracelets. You did say it was push pin, right? If so, does pagani include a tool with which to push out the pin? Are there instructions? Is it better to push the pin out from one side compared to the other?
No, it doesn't come with a removal tool. But in my experience using one like this works best. a.aliexpress.com/_vkYB7c If you look at the pictures in the listing it shows you how to use it too. When it comes to removing the links, there's normally an arrow on one side that indicates you need to push it that way.
I would think if the bezel were ceramic they would mention it. Ceramic tends to be brittle so I wouldn't expect to see an insert that thin but I can't really tell what it is on mine. The mecha-quartz stopwatch function has pretty stiff action.
It looks a huge dial on camera & I was quite surprised when you got the gauge out. I had to go and compare it against my PG Daytona for size to really gets to grips with it….funny how the eyes can deceive. It’s a good looking watch and definitely the hands are a massive improvement for legibility
I received this watch but imo the watch is unwearable with this bracelets unless you polish it yourself or get uncle seiko's bracelet. Opted for the second choice. the watch itself is very nice for the price. The sharp edges on the bracelet makes wearing this watch uncomfortable. With a quality 3rd party bracelet this watch is 10/10
... ooo this is harder ... personally I have this V3 Pagani and still want the Lunar Pilot (a real moon watch which gives you the cache of a Speedy at a fraction of the cost) .. the one drawback to the Lunar Pilot is the size.
Wearing mine as I watch this! I actually prefer the dial and crystal on the Corguet speedmaster, even though it's not sapphire, but everything else is excellent for the money.
I had this for a really short while and needed to send it back due to two issues: 1) alignment issue on the tachymeter and 2) chrono pusher clicking but not registering (chrono hand not moving/stopping). Refunded and re-ordered my 2nd 1701 v3 from the same seller. hope this would be better than the first. Btw, i got the 1644 and 1718 UGS which are very good PD homages of Rolex Daytona and Tudor BB Chrono. Definitely back-for-the-buck.

You forgot to mention no AR coating, not bothered about the poor lume personally. As for the sharp edges on the underside, I'm in for plastic surgery on my wrist next week (joke) but it is very sharp. All that said, it is a nice looking watch, and for the money.... it's very good.
Improvements are good; but the bracelet is sadly not useable/sizeable for people with wrists smaller than 6,75 inches. The cheap diver’s extension is also a negative and causes less micro-adjusts.
Definitely improved over the original version. I’ve been holding back after Jason’s review of the previous versions, now this is on the list. Quite why I need three chronographs, I’m not sure but it’s more robust than a MoonSwatch.
Spot on. We’re travelling to Belfast next month for my step-daughter’s wedding. The hardest thing is deciding on the watches I’m going to take. Hamilton is a definite, Pagani Seamaster is also definite.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR You just made my need stronger with the review. I was hoping you'd made some comments comparing to the unobtainable MoonSwatch...
@@96kyh I can't really comment on the MoonSwatch, as I've not had hands on experience with one. But based on the specs alone I'd say this is a far better option.
exactly, I didn't like the earlier versions hands, but this one is a winner. Sadly I like the hands so much (and that AR on the inside of the crystal) that my Phylida is probably going to go on eBay. I happen to like the date and its worth noting that Omega are putting dates on the dial now too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks for the honest review! I just ordered the V3 based on your detailing of it here. V1 and V2 did not do it for me, but I feel that they've struck a great balance of details to make me take the leap. And honestly, at that price I'm not going to be picky, barring any factory defects.

Apart from brand recognition these beat a moonswatch in every category hands down. I picked up the 55 Yr anniversary one and was very surprised how decent it is. Warning, the bracelets minimum size is 6.5".
This is best version except for the original. Why not sapphire crystal or ceramic bezel? This one gonna last a many years if the user does not let battery leak out into movement. Which is also no tragedy, VK63 is easy to get and swap out. It is already enough Speedmaster in it it, does not have to be replica. Love this watch, must just find place for it in my crowded drawer.
In my opinion I'll on the ONLY thing that makes this anywhere close is that the MoonSwatch also has Omega on the dial. Let's be honest if the same watch JUST said Swatch on it would have no where near the hype.
The Omega Swatch version is Bio "Plastic" ceramic. Available on a cheesy velcro strap and its total weight is 28 grams. A Mickey Mouse watch from Timex is better. A friend purchased an example and returned it in short order. He purchased Uranus cause you can have so much fun with Uranus. HAHA!
It is better than the MoonSwatch for sure. It is even better than the original..! For this price it is a no-brainer. You simply have to have this watch. The sharp edges are easily polished away with a nail file on highest grade nd. 4.
Bezel is ceramic, not aluminium, movement is 50 times more accurate, glass is 20 times harder, saphire, not plastic, 50 times cheaper, 100 times cheaper to maintain, 1000 times higher power reserve.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Yeah, but for some weird reasons it tells me they dont offer shipping to germany and block the complete product page. Anyways, found it on Amazon :D .

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR volume is fine. I don't really know anything about microphones or sound quality, but I do know it sounds like your whispering sweet nothings in my ear like I'm some kind of truck stop slam pig.
It's not bad at. It basically gives you all you can expect from a Pagani Design homage watch. It has no glaring flaws given the price. One thing I actually prefer on this one over the original is the crystal! 😆 I think about this one and the Moonswatch as being a comparison of apples and oranges.
I think you've neglected the biggest flaw in this watch, when you look at the time you see yourself clearer than what time of day it is, that crystal badly needs some ar coating!
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I'm going to disagree on that one, it's the worst I've ever seen in terms of reflectivity, which is a shame as it's a cracking watch if you are lucky enough to get a good one
Bracelet still feels cheap and has sharp edges. Why not invest a little bit more in a bracelet that feels more solid and nice. Also, I'm not crazy about the way the chrono reset's. It would have been nice if they would have used a better movement that had a smoother reset and not just snapping back. I have a cheap citizen watch that resets better with a nice sweep in a clockwise manner.
There are definitely bits that could be improved, but it's still a far better option than the MoonSwatch in my opinion. If you're after something similar, but with better overall quality, then I'd highly recommend this one. ua-cam.com/video/-iA05TbnXrw/v-deo.html

I like this one for a number of reasons and that’s it’s a 40mm rather than a 42mm?
Also it has a date too.
I did ask someone awhile ago and said would you rather have a MoonSwatch or a homage to a Omega and the reply was a homage.
This Pagani does look so very nice!
Yeah the size being a bit smaller is a plus too.
Better upgrades but I'm hoping/waiting for V-Auto version with winding/screw down crown.
Have you checked out the Phylida? It's not an automatic, but it is a mechanical.
ua-cam.com/video/-iA05TbnXrw/v-deo.html
Hows the water resistance? Enough for swimming/ light snorkeling? Does it have a screwdown crown?
I don't know, as I never tested it. I've since sold the watch, as well, so can't now sorry.
anything is as better option than a moon swatch! this does look pretty good though, but i prefer my phylida with the st1901. I suspect the bracelet is the same as that also has the divers extension
No, the Phylida bracelet is better. I actually have one of them as well.
ua-cam.com/video/-iA05TbnXrw/v-deo.html
The lume on mine is perfectly adequate, being readable all night long.
That's good to know. Which version do you have?
I've always had a hard time with push pin link bracelets, (one I bent the pin trying to add a link back, on another I absolutely could not get the pins out, both Invicta) but never any issues with screw link bracelets. You did say it was push pin, right? If so, does pagani include a tool with which to push out the pin? Are there instructions? Is it better to push the pin out from one side compared to the other?
No, it doesn't come with a removal tool. But in my experience using one like this works best.
a.aliexpress.com/_vkYB7c
If you look at the pictures in the listing it shows you how to use it too.
Well they do say the camera adds a few mill 😉
I received this watch but imo the watch is unwearable with this bracelets unless you polish it yourself or get uncle seiko's bracelet. Opted for the second choice. the watch itself is very nice for the price. The sharp edges on the bracelet makes wearing this watch uncomfortable. With a quality 3rd party bracelet this watch is 10/10
So bulova luna , vs this ???
... ooo this is harder ... personally I have this V3 Pagani and still want the Lunar Pilot (a real moon watch which gives you the cache of a Speedy at a fraction of the cost) .. the one drawback to the Lunar Pilot is the size.
Wearing mine as I watch this! I actually prefer the dial and crystal on the Corguet speedmaster, even though it's not sapphire, but everything else is excellent for the money.
They are good too.
Great version. Too bad Pagani insists on that ridiculous date window. The watch to which they are an homage, of course, does not have one.
I actually didn't mind the date too much. As it is colour matched, so it's quite discreet really.
I'm sorry to hear that you had issues with the first one. It's good that you got a refund though. I hope you have more luck with the next one.
Good review. I was burned by pagani. Watch arrived up as a paperweight. After much wasted time it’s now in a landfill somewhere. Its going to be hard for me to give them my money in the future.
Thanks. Sorry to hear that. Why didn't you open a dispute and get your money back or a replacement one?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR, I started down that road but didn’t want to commit anymore of my time for a 75.00 watch. I’ll just avoid the brand in the future.
@@willmarshall4685 Fair enough. In my experience, on the rare occasions when I've had to use the AliExpress dispute system I found it pretty quick and easy. Show the evidence of the issue, using pictures or a short video clip and then decide whether you want a partial or full refund. They sort out and pay for the return postage if needed too.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR thanks, I will follow through next time.
Very nice, I have a Pagani moonwatch, very pleased with it. As always a Good review.
They pretty much nailed it didn't they? Thanks.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Yes, I agree, they did this time.
@@tofu3802 3rd time lucky.
Hope they release a V4 with slightly bigger subdials and a nicer font.
I wouldn't be surprised if they do a V4.
Yeah very flecto otherwise it looks pretty good. I’d pay another $20 for 2 more coats of lume and AR. Nice review mate
Yeah that would make it even better, for not much more. Cheers.
Thanks for the video, very interesting! How big is your wrist? Do you think it might be good for a 16 cm wrist?
@@andreaboscardin5895 I'm glad you liked it. I've got a 7" wrist.
Maan this is a great watch..i want one exactly like this...shame theres none in my country...100% prefer saphire glass..probability to broke its lower then to scratch..and ita not expensive..masterpiece
Don't they deliver to your country then?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I think they do..but some others on forum, say it comes in 1 month or so..or never get delivered..but as last option...mqybe il try...
@@m.f3815 I don't know about your country, but to the UK, I tend to receive watches in about 2 weeks normally.
Biggest issue is the lack of AR coating on the crystal.
That's a pretty common thing with the cheaper AliExpress watches.
You forgot to mention no AR coating, not bothered about the poor lume personally. As for the sharp edges on the underside, I'm in for plastic surgery on my wrist next week (joke) but it is very sharp. All that said, it is a nice looking watch, and for the money.... it's very good.
😆 Not having AR on watches at this kind of price is pretty common for AliExpress watches though.
Waiting for a automatic version and it would be even better than the original (which is a winding watch)
@@oliverf.4235 Perhaps this one might interest you then.
ua-cam.com/video/-iA05TbnXrw/v-deo.html
Improvements are good; but the bracelet is sadly not useable/sizeable for people with wrists smaller than 6,75 inches. The cheap diver’s extension is also a negative and causes less micro-adjusts.
Definitely improved over the original version. I’ve been holding back after Jason’s review of the previous versions, now this is on the list. Quite why I need three chronographs, I’m not sure but it’s more robust than a MoonSwatch.
Of course we don't 'need' all of these watches we have... But it's fun to have them and have options isn't it? 😉
Spot on. We’re travelling to Belfast next month for my step-daughter’s wedding. The hardest thing is deciding on the watches I’m going to take. Hamilton is a definite, Pagani Seamaster is also definite.
@@sweetcorn1968 Just take a selection and change them throughout the day 😉😆
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR You just made my need stronger with the review. I was hoping you'd made some comments comparing to the unobtainable MoonSwatch...
@@96kyh I can't really comment on the MoonSwatch, as I've not had hands on experience with one. But based on the specs alone I'd say this is a far better option.
Nice review as usual. the sapphire is way better. love my V3.
Cheers. Third time lucky hey?
exactly, I didn't like the earlier versions hands, but this one is a winner. Sadly I like the hands so much (and that AR on the inside of the crystal) that my Phylida is probably going to go on eBay. I happen to like the date and its worth noting that Omega are putting dates on the dial now too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's great when brands listen to their audience and make the improvements we all want, isn't it?
Getting mine Tuesday!!
Hey is your date wheel still working? .....Saw another review who stated his wasn't!
Yeah mine's still absolutely fine.
How about transferring a moonswatch into the case? 😇😆
😆
I really like that idea!
Very nice watch. Im currently front runner on a bidding war on eBay for one 😊
Yes they are. What's the bidding up to so far then?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I'm at 85 so far with 11 bidders on my tail

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR no, US $$
@@astro713 Oh ok. Don't go too high though, as it's about $87 new.
Thanks for the honest review! I just ordered the V3 based on your detailing of it here. V1 and V2 did not do it for me, but I feel that they've struck a great balance of details to make me take the leap. And honestly, at that price I'm not going to be picky, barring any factory defects.
I'm glad the review was helpful. I'm sure your going to enjoy the watch when it arrives. Did you use my affiliate link by any chance?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I did indeed, thanks for including that in the description. Cheers!
@@SilencedMi5 Thanks for using it. It really does help to support the channel and doesn't cost you any extra.

I know how annoying it can be when you watch video about specific product and then there's no link to it in the description so you have to go searching for it.
Great review mate. This is the first pagani watch that I have liked.too many qc problems for me.matbe they are upping their game.still don't think they need logo and text though.
Thanks JAMES
Yeah I'd prefer just the logo. Less text is always better.
Apart from brand recognition these beat a moonswatch in every category hands down. I picked up the 55 Yr anniversary one and was very surprised how decent it is. Warning, the bracelets minimum size is 6.5".
Yeah the size limitation is so stupid. How hard would it be to add a few more adjustable links? What are these morons thinking?
I learned the word "Pagans" in the Vikings TV show. I suspect that means "brave".
Do you think this would fit an 8” wrist? Thanks
@@mmadchef808
I'm not 100% certain but I had to remove 6 links to fit a 6.5" wrist. I think you'll be fine.
@@simonwright6882 Thank you!!
Buen vídeo!!! Gran reloj, una maravilla.
Muchísimas gracias.
GLARE MONSTER!! It needs AR coating --just like version 2 and version 1 -- I never even got the free strap :)
Yeah some AR would be good.
Did you buy yours from the link in the description?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Mine is V2 bought it 8 months ago directly from the Official Paganii Aliexpress store
@@AguilaEmplumada Ah ok. That'll be why you didn't get the free strap then.
Finding space for new watches is biggest problem I have too. As I can't seem to let any go.
In my opinion I'll on the ONLY thing that makes this anywhere close is that the MoonSwatch also has Omega on the dial.
Let's be honest if the same watch JUST said Swatch on it would have no where near the hype.
I completely agree with you there mate.
Pagani done a great job on this one, better than the Daytona homage
Yeah they've upped their game.
HAHA!
🤣🤣
Is the dial matte black or glossy?
It's a matte black dial.
I hope they make a v2 of the green gold moonwatch, that white text is a huge turn off.
I don't see why they wouldn't. Especially considering they're on a V3 of this one.
Got a PD with NH35.
Kik my seikos n' casios azzes.
Better than my Omega Deville.
It's crazy how they do this!!
Wow better than your Omega even. That is high praise indeed.
Where can one person buy Pagani Design Watches? Is there any trustable site ?
The link to it is in the description. That's where I got mine from.
If only they had the Tintin version... It's the best looking one for me
You never know they might end up releasing that later maybe.
It is better than the MoonSwatch for sure. It is even better than the original..! For this price it is a no-brainer. You simply have to have this watch. The sharp edges are easily polished away with a nail file on highest grade nd. 4.
I'm sure not everyone would agree with that statement though 😉
Bezel is ceramic, not aluminium, movement is 50 times more accurate, glass is 20 times harder, saphire, not plastic, 50 times cheaper, 100 times cheaper to maintain, 1000 times higher power reserve.
Yet again, I can't find this watch on AliE. Is anyone else having the same problem?
I always include all of the links to the watches in the description.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Yeah, but for some weird reasons it tells me they dont offer shipping to germany and block the complete product page. Anyways, found it on Amazon :D .

@@femdufoctar9048 🤣 That might just be my voice 🤣
I ordered the Pagani 1717 and the free Nato they sent me was not like that one at all. It was a total cheapo 2 basic one 😡
Sorry to hear that. Where did you order the watch from?
I wish it had a black case.
It's not bad at. It basically gives you all you can expect from a Pagani Design homage watch. It has no glaring flaws given the price. One thing I actually prefer on this one over the original is the crystal! 😆 I think about this one and the Moonswatch as being a comparison of apples and oranges.
I guess it basically is.
I think you've neglected the biggest flaw in this watch, when you look at the time you see yourself clearer than what time of day it is, that crystal badly needs some ar coating!
Some AR would be good. But it's not quite as bad when you're wearing it though.
If you're after something similar, but with better overall quality, then I'd highly recommend this one.
ua-cam.com/video/-iA05TbnXrw/v-deo.html
much better value than the plastic toy , which i've noticed popping up on ali for less than £30 not that i,d encourage its purchase why waste £30 ? although most seem unbranded and would qualify as homages rather than outright fakes
