That and he's the most relatable. Seriously he's a teenager who experiences everyone's expectations of him as an individual, despite his young age. We all experience(d) this at a point in time; we know what it's like to have a greater feeling of importance, but whether we're able to handle the responsibility is what Spider-Man deals with in his day to day life. He is the most well-developed superhero of any franchise, thus he deserves to be the voice of reason as well as Stan Lee's favorite.

Iron man also deleted the databanks on the SHRA when he was forced out of being the S.H.I.E.L.D. director in favor of Osborn and being pursued by Osborn for the memory in his cyborg-like brain (which Iron Man also deleted).

      The rush was the point.
The politicans are just rushing things trying to put the Avengers under control ASAP to have as low amount of issues to deal with as possible.
Zemo is also not letting anyone have a moment to think by putting event after event into motion.
Tony Stark is already at the brink of emotional breakdown because of his guilt and feeling of responsibility, then all this crap happens.
Steve had to attend to Peggy's funeral, then had to go get Bucky, having no time to talk over his point with Tony.
The spine of Zemo's plan is to divide the Avengers by exploiting Bucky and Steve's connection, and put events into motion at such a fast pace that no one have time to reasonably talk over the issues.
In the end Zemo believes that he have succeded, and don't even realize that he actually failed to dismember the Avengers since he can not comprehend the motivation of the superheroes for doing their job.

that bitch was stupid...I mean I don't get it. even in the MCU, it was stupid. I mean fucking Hydra was going to kill millions of people...did you want those millions to die instead!? But I suppose it's one of those "What if questions" where if to say you were on a train track. A train is coming and there is a fork in the track. One side has five people on it while the other has two. You can't save the people, but you can send the train in either direction. Which side do you let the train go on, the one with five people or two people? You know that sort of deal...it's difficult...but whatever...

***** The Problem with that is, the Government is always being hacked and had their secrets leaked, which is why having regular heroes registering would also mean signing their own death certificate if or when they cross paths with villains that hold a grudge, the SHRA also alludes that the Registered heroes will be used as Government Resources, which means some would play bodyguard to a politician, while others would be used to wage wars with other nations to protect the government's interests. In a separate issue, Uatu showed both Tony two other possible outcomes of the SHRA, one is which the Heroes are strictly controlled by the government and used as "Peacekeeping Weapons of Mass Destruction", while the other had the SHRA used in a different way, with only Captain America having the knowledge of each Heroes' identity and establishing a training facility for up-and-coming would-be-heroes not unlike Avenger's Academy.

    • @VoidVoic
      @VoidVoic 7 місяців тому

The public’s argument was that the heroes could be anybody and that they needed to be held responsible, much like how a public official would. If just the government/SHIELD knew their identities, they’d still be upset and wouldn’t have solved the core issue

A very underrated moment in Civil War: Tony Stark has arrested Daredevil and takes him to the Negative Zone, all the while babbling about his reasoning for siding with the government and trying to convince Daredevil that his actions were for the greater good, and asking for both forgiveness and asking Daredevil to talk, who's completely silent. One of the guards tells Tony that Daredevil has a Silver Dollar to give him, and when Tony is confused by this, Daredevil just says: "Guess that's 31 pieces of silver you've got now, huh? Sleep well, Judas"

It's funny, this comic is hailed by so many people as a magnificent story, but to me... I dunno, the whole thing seems kinda weak. Tony Stark essentially turning into Stalin, locking away all dissidents in a parallel-dimension-gulag, the entire world turning against the entire metahuman community over a single (Admitedly horrific) accident, all these superheroes seemingly having no qualms whatsoever in trying to kill eachother (then again, superheroes fighting eachother as much as fighting villains is par for the course in the Marvel Universe), the whole story leading into One More Day Spiderman story(And the less said about that atrocity, the better), and the pro-registration side being portrayed as being in the right, when metahuman registration is pretty much the exact thing that the X-men have been battling against since their inception!

I personally think Captain America is right... I would never trust a gov. that can control super humans. And if it weren't for the heroes intervening in the first place more people would have died. I agree that there has to be consequences but giving gov. the control is going in the wrong direction. For every non-moral super-villian there will be a superhero that will oppose them. "the best hands are still there own." You don't get to label superhumans as all non-moral because a few people died..

I like how the civilians here are crying over their city being destroyed when this is caused by them being selfish about the hero who litterally face death everyday not wanting to put everyone they know in danger. The ACT was basically on the same level as broadcasting every secret agent identities on the internet. It'll only make hero want to be hero alot less.

This trend of making comic books story lines into movies but only using some aspects of the source material is kind of ruining the comic book. The comic book adaptation deserves a complete use of the story on screen instead of just having the name of the comic and a few of the stories details. I read that old man Logan is to be the story premise for the 3rd wolverine film, however for obvious reasons the full story isn't possible as marvel owns rights to characters that fox does not. The only possible out come then is again a story with only some of the original stories plots details and then the rest made up by script writers to fill the blanks.
I'm not saying these movies will be bad, but rather I believe these stories deserve to be adapted to screen in their entirety rather then half made.
Animated movies of both civil war and Old man Logan would be a welcome compromise.

kai robb as they say, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions"
just because he had a good goal in mind that does not stop him from being a bastard and a villain, many of the best villains are those who believe they are doing what is right
and he does lots of bad shit
seriously, how can anyone defend him nearly killing spiderman for questioning his methods?
the prison in the negative zone?
      hunting down heroes and such
no matter how much people try to defend him, Iron man was the villain there
it might have been supposed to have been two equal sides (but then again, I've read around that captain america was the one the writers/execs considered to be in the wrong all along) but they failed at it

They really didn't. The only thing similar is Cap vs Iron Man and the whole hero vs hero thing. They should've waited til they got more characters like the X-Men and fantastic 4 in the MCU and then make the movie because it's supposed to be this huge war between every hero and villain there is. They can probably still do it but just title it civil war instead of captain America civil war

    • @Tae200.

I mean don't get me wrong it's a good movie but it doesn't feel Civil War level conflict considering they only fought one day and then it was over, but at the time they didn't have a lot to work with but they could've just waited instead of trying to use what they got

      Examples:
In the Comic Spider-Man was the one to Reveal his Identity Spider-Man: Far From Home, Mysterio Revealed Spider-Man’s Secret Identity.
The MCU Contracts for Actors and Actresses like Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlet Johansson, and maybe even Jeremy Renner will already Expire.
And the last one for now being the Moment where Frank Castle saves Peter Parker, will they be able to use The Punisher in the Movie? I ask this because There had been some Controversy with the Character Earlier this Year.

Quick question but why the hell did they need to publicly reveal their identities? I mean Spider-man made a good point in that all their loved ones were gonna be placed in danger once they unmask themselves (Though to be fair pretty much all major heroes already have a few villains that know their identity). Was there gonna be like a website or public document so that anyone thinking "Hey I want to know this guys secret identity" can just go find out? I mean you can't just publicly look up active government agents can you? Can you? Especially if their in a situation or mission where their identity could put lives at risk

    • @jstyledipset

They don't have to publicly reveal, just sign up with the government. Spiderman publicly revealed because Iron Man asked him to do it to prove a point. The problem here is that like Cap said, there are a bunch of crazy smart super villains that can easily hacking into government files and find the entire list of identifies
