I was watching another video before I found you and the guy had already done his floor for his shed and he’s trying to explain it with his arms going around the air and yours is so clear and so easy thank you so much for this!!! The best I have seen.
i was half the way of building wooden pool for my babies but was confused about the base then came cross this video and what a great video, now i have to restart all over again, thanks for the upload mate, will be buying your swim spa base kit very soon
Just found your product, but it's a pity that we can't get it here in the states, but it gave me an alternate idea how to install a shed. Wish you the best in your business!
Another beauty of these bases is that in 20+years time when the shed is knackered and the new owner wants the shed removed altogether or placed in a different spot or different size, they don't have a gargantuan lump of concrete to remove!
Excellent Video! Sorry for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method (do a search on google)? It is a smashing one off guide for building better sheds and woodworking without the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my good mate called Gray after many years got amazing success with it.
This is glorious, I been tryin to find out about "concrete foundation for storage shed" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Damkietor Nonpareil Dominion - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a good one off product for building better sheds and woodworking minus the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my partner got amazing results with it.
the problem with poured concrete is many cities and towns consider it a permanent structure so your property taxes go up. imho a wood shed should have a wood base. use pressure treated lumber and have everything metal that touches your base galvanized and it will last for decades. Also do not forget the essential vapor barrier. the gravel can be a pain as well (stone believe it or not can get expensive, I would use 6x8x4 inch concrete blocks at the corners and a few in the middle to give it that lift with a few shovel fulls of gravel under them for drainage. it will boost your shed a bit off the ground (which some may not like) but it will ensure rain doesn't touch that wood base.
What were those things he lays down first, with the holes in them that he poured the gravel into? I might be getting a 7x7 Rubbermaid plastic shed, and I am considering what base to use.
Hi can you tell me should I take the turf of or can I build a wooden frame and put the weed cover down inside then put a layer of gravel and pack it down then put eco base down and fill ?? how am asking Is where I bought my shed they said no way would a plastic base work it will sink with the weight lol it's a 8 x 10 shed just need a bit of advice on what to do thanks
Hi thank you so much for this your guide. Can I ask you if I can lay the ikea mallsten tile on the top? As the description says it need hard surface will this procedure help?
Very Nice!! I am going to use this foundation method for my shed. I found rock and the landscape fabric, but I can't find the square pieces where you pour the rock into. Where can I find that material?
what about securing shed so it doesn't blow away. I live in a very windy wild area where previous sheds have had to be strapped into the concrete bases.
i had the shed foundation package in my checkout , i thought i read there was international shipping available. but there is no shipping outside of UK when prompted to fill out shipping address... do you have distributors in Canada ? thank you
@@cutsordesigns Hi, great video. I have already a gravelled large parking area, where I want to put a 11ft x8ft resine shed, also worried about fixing to ground. Do you think it would be a good idea, to just do a surround in concrete?
You want to buy about 4 earth earth anchors and strap it down with cables and wire clips. Of course, you should probably have the shed on 4x4 skids and strap those down vs the stud corners...

Silly question but how is the shed fixed to the floor. I've watched so many videos and can't find any that dhow that info.
Was it not necessary to use wooden bearers between the base and the shed?

Any ideas as to how much gravel is needed to fill the base?
Bulk bag does around 5m2 get it from any hardware or garden centre

There are anchors that go 16 " in the ground. The other end attaches to the shed.
and will it work with a gargen office type shed?
Great video, and such easy instructions.Thankyou for uploading.
Thanks Gary
Hi. Is this foundation suitable for a 8x10?
Yashen Brounos no problem we do much bigger
Where can this be brought in America?
Sadly right now it cant Im afraid
Would this work just as well on artificial grass?
where can one buy the base?
I've had mine on a wood foundation for 11yr and no problems I had strong winds even part the roof on the house blew off but no damage to the shed
i had the shed foundation package in my checkout , i thought i read there was international shipping available. but there is no shipping outside of UK when prompted to fill out shipping address... do you have distributors in Canada ? thank you
Sorry about that. It is tricky on small amounts. Do try checkers in the US they will have a distributor near you. checkers-safety.com
