when the yarn prolapseddd😱 You trying new things and sharing it with the world is some real pioneer stuff, loveee that!! Every time something potentially frustrating happens i love how you seem to just move on from it, Thanks for being so great
Yeah I gotta get some of that webbing! What brand was it? Haha we should invent our own iron on adhesive that’s meant for rugs. Why isn’t that a thing? Lol Thank you 🥰😂
When I use heat glue, I add a bead of hot glue around the edge of the rug between the glue layer and backing layer to reinforce the edges. The heat from the iron melts the hot glue and really gets into the backing fabric! The heat n bond is just a little too thin for me to feel super comfortable using it solo. (But you're totally right that no one is going to be tugging on their rugs the way we do when testing them haha!)
I wonder if after you press the backing to the yarn, reapply another square and attach the backing? I wonder if there’s a problem with it getting a little worn out and that might be why it’s not adhering?
using parchment paper instead of felt as your cover so you dont melt the rubber grippies may be your best bet, itll allow more heat to transfer through and melt the glue rather absorb like the felt does! LOVE the video, love the testing, thank you for being the guinea pig lol
I'm actually surprised at how well this worked with how uncertain you've been about it. It may not be gorilla strength, but I think if someone were to be treating their rug that way, there would be other problems, right?? The awooga rug is so cute, and I'm so excited you'll have it done in time for Valentine's Day!
Haha I know, I just haaaate the thought that someone buys one of my rugs & it starts fraying or something. But you’re right, it did seem really strong. Thank yoooou!! I’m really excited about it! 💀❤️
Love your videos. Thank you. I'm gonna give this new adhesive stuff. Fingers crossed

Also Teflon sheets for heat presses.
you have the iron set to steam, change the dial all the way to the end to the smallest dot, even with water, no more steam! 9:49

You should've reused the backing from the glue sheet when you wanted to iron on the non-slip backing
Oohhh that’s genius! Lol I will definitely do that next time
